Ah yes, the bravest thing a man can do. Tell a girl’s father you’re trying to sneak into her room.
☝
I'm gonna try to do that once
But first, let me write my will
@@jacquesnouvel6436 i believe in you
@@jacquesnouvel6436 lol
And it’s the king. That’s there bravest person I have ever seen
Are we forgetting the memory in botw where link killed dozens of enemies including white lionels and only got a scratch on the arm
Uh maybe yes cus we didn’t see the actual fight
even by aoc standards, he took them all single-handedly, which is pretty damn inpressive
Remember, Botw Link was able to deflect a guardians laser when he was young with a very, VERY crappy shield. So being able to kill a couple of lynels is nothing to him.
@@emo_linkit was littearly a pot lid and he pulled the master sword as a child.
Bro lynels are easy
Most epic moment: being able to effectively negotiate/barter with tingle and beedle without running in fear
True that, Tingle terrifies me
Ah yes the negotiator
What about facing cucccos
@@-SourStrawberry- in the wise words of zelda, there is a fine line between courage and recklessness
@@thehyperchargedcucco3379 That is true. As a Hypercharged Cucco, you must have slain millions.
Link jumping into the void of the cloud sea at the start of Skyward Sword, being the first being ever in centuries to go the the earth below, witch many people didn't even though real! This Link is the First Green Hero, and the scene symbolise the courage of every Link that will follow. Now that is badass
good point. I'd throw up for sure
The best part about that fight between Link and Revali is that Link is wearing soldier's armor. It's a mix of plate and chainmail, so it's bound to be pretty damn heavy when you compare it to his tunic and trousers yet he moves just as swiftly as if he was wearing plain clothing. Pretty damn badass if you ask me.
Yeah Link is a beast
Bruh, that Boulder Parry didn't say enough? I think Zeltik already did the Math about parring a Lynel charge attack.
@@solracstormhunter3023 exactly, he can even parry a hinox or all the ganons melee attacks
when I saw the title I KNEW the scene from Twilight Princess where Link rides Epona into Kakariko to save Colin was gonna be on this list.
It was a must include 😅
I was 10000% expecting either that one or saving Ilia by slaying the entire hidden village with the crossbow
Melts my heart when link salutes to skull keeta. I don’t even know why
Same, I couldn't describe it, but I had to include it.
Twilight Princess Link has so many moments that make him cool. You have an option to do a little spin and pose when sheathing the sword after defeating an enemy. Then there are so many moments with the bosses like with the water temple boss. Link climbs on top of it and just hacks away at its weak point while being dragged around underwater. It isn’t graceful and shows how brutal Link can be. Then again, the Hero of Twilight is the descendent of the Hero of Time, so it’s to be expected.
I love that moment. Link hops on the fish, horseback style and is literally reverse-holding his sword, stabbing the eye multiple times! Man is sick
One small detail that adds to how badass skyward sword link is facing the horde at the end is comparing him from the beginning of the game. The kid born in a time of peace, and then the cutscenes before he enters each temple, hesitating at first, but less so over the course of the game until he charges in at the end
OoT Ganon fight was epic as hell. Dude fights a Triforce of Power-drugged up Ganondorf without the Master Sword and still wins.
Idk how I forgot about that one. Def beats some of the earlier ones on my list
Any moment where Link shows courage in the face of despair is enough to make me love the character even more.
I just played the Calamity Ganon fight again yesterday, and I still get chills from that cutscene when you walk into the Sanctum everytime.
Breath of the Wild or Age of Calamity? Both are good :)
@@Zeldom Breath of the Wild! I actually haven't gotten around to playing Age of Calamity yet between work and trying to make Zelda videos lol
@@Zeldom Breath of the wild!
The Music is the highlight of that scene, its hype af! Specially the choir where Ganons title is shown
Link: it's over Girahim I have the higher ground!
He's not Obi wan. he went low :/ Link ain't that smart ig
My wife sent me this comment. This is officially the funniest thing I've seen on youtube. Thank you. I've literally said it out loud just laughing to myself while at work. It's so great.
One if my favorite Link moments in Breath of the Wild is during the memory you get in the Eldin region, you see all the monsters Link killed just before their conversation. He absolutely demolished a hoard of bokoblins with several white maned lynels and all he took from it was a cut on his arm. He didn't even look tired!!
Pre-Calamity Link would have *eaten* malice Ganondorf for breakfast if he didn't get worn out by all the Guardians
Yeah and he killed that many guardians WHILE ESCORTING ZELDA. Meaning he didn't get to move much at all.
Pre calamity and botw link are at the same strength level stated by the champions descendents in AOC so he is still a beast lol
Most epic moment: watching a rupee despawn and not feeling guilt
I still can't do it
Even if your wallet is full, you still have to pick them all up.
"When do you think Link is the coolest?" *ALL*
yes
Me watching this video a few hours after release: Am I late?
Yes, yes you are 😡
Nah I'm late
Link vs The Horde in SS ranks among my favorite Link moments. Girahim actually acknowledges Link in this moment, knowing he's a terrifying force. "Do not fear the point of his blade. Fear my wrath should you fail me!" Epic.
Are we going to talk about how Revali ATTACKED PRINCESS ZELDA UNPROVOKED??? How THE HECK DOES THAT NOT START A WAR???
Because let's be honest, the Rito would win that war
@@Zeldom Nah fam I think the hylians would whoop the Rito's tail feathers. Esp if they could get the other races on their side esp the Gerudo with their electric powers (Im going off the assumption that each of the four races would specialize in their divine beast's power)
@@Zeldom
With Link on the frontlines, it’s no contest.
@@chrispork1443not mentioning death mountain living up to it's name
I think my favorite badass moment goes to the Demise confrontation. The cinematics of that final stretch in Skyward Sword is just unbelievable. I've already said my piece of just how awesome Demise is for the short time we get him, but my favorite cutscene in all of Zelda is when Link chases him into the final arena with the beautiful surroundings, and he speaks to you as a creature he will NEVER forget, and is actively cherishing the encounter. And even better when he comes to the same conclusion as Ghirahim that Link of the Sky...really isn't quite human. And of course with that conclusion he decides to let himself reincarnate just as the other 2 of that trio had.
What an enticing villain from front to back. You can see that undying pride, hatred, and even the natural curiosity bleed into some later Ganondorfs. Particularly Twilight and Wind Waker. Hope my theory about him one day resurfacing from a Ganondorf comes true.
Demise is definitely a cool villain. If only his boss fight was so short compared to other games :(
@@Zeldom The final battle from my perspective is from the horde of bokoblins to the end of Demise.
But yes I do think there was more cool stuff they could have done with his fight specifically. You think we may get more of him in the upcoming remake?
I've played through most of Skyward Sword several times, but have still never managed to defeat Demise in a swordfight, if I'm lucky enough to get past Ghirahim. After a while I start another game file in hopes of learning the controls better. I've only had a short few tastes of crossing swords with Ganondorf's origin and I find that sad, considering I relish swordfighting Ganondorf himself so much. Anyone got tips for beating the Lanayru boss grind? Breaking shields are usually what does me in.
@@JariDawnchild drink upgraded guardian and stamina potion JUST before talking to lanayru the dragon. And if you’re holding the potion medal it’s 12 minutes of indestructible sprints. Then always do the fights you struggle with most 1st. If you don’t, your hearts later on will be worn out quickly. (And I would definitely recommend the 2nd imprisoned since that’s the hardest if you do the boss rush before sky keep. Which I recommend)
When you fight the imprisoned, never go for the toes. It’s too much of a hassle and just isn’t worth it. So in the 2nd and 3rd fights, stun him with the groosenator, hop on his head and swing down on the spike instead of up after knocking off his toes. And when you fire the groosenator, make sure link is ALREADY one level above the boss or he’ll start walking again before you get up. Saves time and headaches and takes away a lot of complaints with the boss.
Also in the 2nd fight, don’t fire the groosenator the 1st time UNTIL he starts climbing the wall or you might get caught in a loop where he successfully climbs up as Groose reloads.
The only other rough one is tentalus. And that’s just because doing skyward strikes consistently is rough. When you do charge it, ALWAYS shoot horizontal so you don’t accidentally shoot vertical which does nothing in those sections.
Everything else is easily solved with practicing shield bashes. It’s almost always the exact same timing regardless of enemy. They all wind up the same amount of time. And if they don’t, it’s far enough away where you can just sit and time it right. Or wait for HD remake for better motion controls. I don’t struggle but I get why you would. Those are the tips I learned after playing so long.
@@Kaempfdog Tyvm for that. :-)
Awesome video, my favorite bad@$$ part is when Link fights the black darknut in tp.😎
Yessss I could've easily made an entire top 20 list just for Twilight Princess. That totally would've made it on the list, but I forced myself to give other sources some shots😅
@@Zeldom oh no it's cool, the ones you put on the list are still great 😤👍
I LOVE THIS LIST!! Including all these non canon entries, multiple from the same games AND not even all from a video game. Oh yeah and Palutena’s trailer is one of my favourite Smash trailer moments. My personal favourite Link moments of being a bad a(dolphin noises) definitely AoC fighting the blights all at once and parrying everything Zelda would die from, WW’s Ganon head stab, and SS’s freakin front flip lightning strike stab 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah that Smash anime is epic!
12:58 I remember back then, when a Zelda theorist reffered called Hyrule Warriors Link a "God of War" and proceeded to edit Kratos face over Links. XD
Also Link freeing Epona in OoT & TP remains beautiful til this day.
The scene where Link and Epona were standing on the bridge will NEVER fail to give me goosebumps. You can say what you want but to me this was the most badass and heroic moment. Damn, the amount of times I've saved Colin just to see this epic scene-
Just wanting to give some love to the summoning of the giants scene in Majora's Mask. One of the few video game moments that sparked chills on my back.
"that shoving thing like in lightsaber duals" truely a way with words😂. bomb video!
Thanks I'm basically a poet 😂 I'll leave the fancy storytelling to Zeltik
@@Zeldom It's called a sword lock btw
Link’s “Am I late?” is so cold, it’s such a nice pay off and makes me smile every time
Running through the village with the crossbow to save Ilia in Twilight Princess is one of my absolute personal favorites. I’ve always thought he was so badass for that
If I remember right, I think your #2 scene was used in the trailer for Twilight Princess. I mean, can you blame them? I know when first got to that scene my jaw dropped lol.
It's an epic scene so it would be a terrible decision to not show in in the trailer
Ahh I would have added the 3DS version of Majora's Mask when using the Giant's Mask! It was the most amusing change they made in that remake imo, even if the Twinmold fight itself lasted way longer than it should have been lol
Lol true true. I still don't understand why they made a mask that can only be used for that boss fight, but hey it's cool to be a giant kid 😂
The part in my mind that still sets OOT at top game, when link is fighting ganon, and he still fights ganon with other weapons until he can get the master sword back.
Bro Link vs Ganon in Ocarina of Time is such a badass fight too, he loses the master sword and has to take down that brute ganon only with his courage and a few items he picked up along the journey.
He deserved at least an Top 5 right, like, he doesn't even have the master sword and put that ganon down 😶👌
You're totally right... Idk how I forgot about that one. That's def better than the dead hands one 😂
@@Zeldom maybe in a part 2? 😰
@@orealvinny simply remaking the list wouldn't be best thing for the channel, but I promise I have many more ideas for these kinds of lists. I'll be cranking out videos over the summer. I'll be working ahead of schedule and stocking up so I don't have to worry during the next semester, but I'll probably be able to do that and upload 3 a month in July and August. Another list related to this is Link's Top Clumsiest moments XD
Yup me too! I was waiting for him to say it
Great video. This was perfect and awesome!
I liked most of these but c'mon oot striking Ganon is the most epic moment w all the lightning and fire around them! That's epic!
Thanks for adding the demon king battle from spirit tracks
Np!
Man so many of those bring tears to my ears and chills to my soul when I watch them. I grew up on Zelda and have played my whole life. So many amazing memories😊
Badass points to Colin, too: He wasn't even in *immediate* danger. He could have fled inside, and was even starting to turn to do so, but he injected himself into the immediate situation for her sake.
great video seldom! keep up the hard work and the great content , i always love watching your videos
Glad you enjoy it!
The Fierce Deity ranks higher on my list do to how powerful the Hero of Time becomes; it's his final, greatest feat, showing us how far he has come.
12:45 I’d like to point out, when got to this point in the game I had decided that my Link would use a wooden spoon instead of the Master Sword. So for me, Link held off all four Blights with a spoon
Lol😆
Amazing 👏
For me I made my own badass moment in Twilight Princess with the frist fight with Ganondorf in his beast form, going into Wolf Link and fighting him as a beast myself made it feel even more awesome. It also makes the fight longer which is also great for me.
I don’t think it’s necessarily the best (epic) moment in the series but one of my favorites is when link stands against calamity ganon with the master sword before the boss fight starts (in breath of the wild). I just always got chills from that scene.
I love all your picks, but you forgot the OOT finishing blow on Ganon! If you ever do a part 2, pls make sure to include that.
Just never stop brother, great video, had me laughing, crying, and ready to do the dishes in an epic way
As someone who played Skyward Sword two times once in normal mode and one in hero mode killing the real demon king Demise was definitely a not only a sence of you as the true hero but also a badass and nothing is more satisfying than that
My favorite moment of link was when he befriended that fat green goblin guy who you fight him with his boar in Hyrule castle (Twilight Princess) and to add bonus points the green goblin guy states that he just wants to be on the stronger team’s side saying link is stronger than his enemies
honestly windwakers final ganon fight was the most awesome for me, underwater, as the water rushes all around you in this arena, you have a good couple of minutes of just cool 1v1 swordsmanship, blocking eachothers attacks, dodging, all of it felt so well made
In my opinion, link’s most epic moment isn’t in a game but instead a youtube video. It’s a Breath of The Wild combat montage by RinHara5aki called “The Four”. (It uses almost every glitch useful in combat, cutscenes from botw, and even has several extremely hard fights such as two gold lynels at once.) If you haven’t seen it, I would highly suggest you watch it. Additionally, some of the other videos by him and axk are almost as good. (I would put some of the Age of Calamity fights first though if we were simply doing canon games.)
It's been 37 YEARS that Legend of Zelda has been around! 37 YEARS!
6 was my favorite I remember playing that section of the game and it was probably my favorite moment in the franchise
For me it's the fight with The final boss of the Lakebed Temple Morpheel.
Just the thought of the unknown that dwells in the deep dark abyss of the ocean floor always sends chills down my spine and link equipped the iron boots, sinking to the bottom and confronting this creature is a badass moment for me.
Gotta love the end fight of the Yiga chief 😂
About number 10
Someone mathematically proved that botw Link can produce the force of a rocket engine with his left arm (your nondominate arm tends a bit weaker than your dominant one) without a second thought or any f#%ks to give
Game Theory, I presume?
Great video.
This is amazing XD
lol thanks :)
The most epic Link has ever been is when he's played by a speedrunner. Seeing a half-naked Link beat up all four Blights and Calamity with only the weapons he managed to snatch on the way there is absurdly satisfying.
Also, Link vs Guardian who will win? Never fear, because Link has a pot lid!
Majoras mask link is underrated in this list 🙁, link in majoras mask a kid vs a world ending mask using the moon to destroy the whole world of termina which is very cool
True true. I tried to stick with very specific moments if that helps.
The hero of time may be my favourite one of all, because he gets pooped on to the point of comedy.
He grows up with the Kokiri being bullied by Mido, partially for not having a fairy. He finally gets a fairy after having nightmares for weeks and gets the honour of speaking to the Deku Tree, who even asks for his help. Motivated, Link enters the tree and fights Ghoma which is terrifying.
Links succeeds but was too late and the Deku Tree dies, which Mido blames Link for, which doesn't help because Link likely already feels guilty.
He later has to fight through seething hot caves and the icky insides of a whale.
He gets stomped by Ganondorf and obtains the Master Sword, being forced into an adult body in a apokalyptic world of his own making because he unknowingly granted Ganondorf access to the triforce of power without being told to being able to return to his time a long while after.
All his friends are now Sages that he cannot meet anymore and he has to go through the Shadow Temple still being a child stuck in a man's body.
He defeats Ganon and gets sent back in time by Zelda to prevent everything, so he carries all the trauma without any of the glory, but hey, Saria's still there. But he's already changed too much to belong in Kokiri Forest anymore, so he goes to the Lost Woods, looking for his friend Navi, who left him at the end of OOT, most likely being dead without Link knowing, gets ambushed by the Skull Kid, has his horse stolen, being transformed without hs consent AGAIN, but this time into a weaker inhuman form, gets to Termina, gets the Ocarina, gets threatened by the Happy Mask Salesman, goes through Termina helping people while under CONSTANT pressure from the moon, while everyone is just having the worst week of their lives.
Link helps them, gets masks to aid him, but has to reset, undoing ALL his good work, with only the mask remaining, forcing him into a parasitic role. I suppose he tries to help as many as he can in the final cycle, but he literally cannot help all and faces the Skull Kid and then Majora's Mask. How often does Link have to transform with the masks again, forcing him into excruciating agony? He saves Termina and becomes a warrior, perhaps a soldier, with no one giving a crap about his past acomplishments, because they either didn't happen or happened in a different world.
He has children, but none of them are warriors, so he can't even at least teach his vast knowledge about the arts of war to anyone. He falls in battle, most likely to random, everyday monsters through bad luck, and dies pissed and frustrated as f***. Then his grandgrandgrandgrandson in Twilight Princess FINALLY stops chasing goats around and does something useful for once in his damn life. The hero of time is EAGERLY waiting for him at the entrance to the forest temple and sends TP-Link into a spectral realm to test him and is dissappointed at TP-Link being such a dillentantic swordsman and is like "Okay, listen up f***er! I've waited for five f***ing centuries for this s**t! You are going to listen to what I have to say and you will follow, because I am so sick of this crap of everyone walking over me." At least that's maybe what he wanted to say, but he still forces himself to be nice and polite because he's a good guy. He teaches TP-Link his seven secret sword techniques so he can have at least SOME satisfaction and can finally rest: "Oh, my god! sweet release... now go my son and shove that divine kitchen knife into his stupid, freaking Gerudo f***ing a**e and don't you dare fail me now! I am going to HAUNT you!"
@@nothinghere8434 I’m a pretend I read all that lol
Well, I guess that proves my point x) . OOT/MM Link gets so much crap in the story. Only Gordon Freeman and Gabriel Belmont may come close.
all the fierce diaty fanart is so cool!
I like link soloing the blights and the champions just like “get on my level scrubs” 😭
The Golden Gauntlet Lift was amazing
- killing Ganon in OoT, AoC and aLttP
- pulling the Master Sword in TP and AoC
(Ever so slightly disappointed these two points aren't on the list XD )
- fighting Vaati to save Zelda in MC
- going inside the Moon in MM
- attacking Ganondorf in WW in the Forsaken Fortress (although Link failed)
- defending against Ganondorf after collecting the three Spiritual Stones in OoT
- saying "Yes" to Talon after he asks whether Link wants to marry Malon in OoT :P
- ignoring Ruto's announcements that she and Link are engaged in OoT :P
Links most epic moment was when he gets sarias ocarina and then just ignores it ever existed after he gets ocarina of time
I'd consider that a jerk moment. That was a gift from his best friend 😂
AoC Link pulling the master sword was awesome
For me, I would personally include the scene where Link gets the Master Sword in AoC, as he is basically sweeped until, as a last ditch effort, he pulls the Master Sword out and destroys the dark champions in gameplay.
Finally I can watch this B)
My absolute favourite moment is how Link is unfazed when facing the literal embodiment of Evil *DEMISE*. there's no shread of fear or hesitation
who couldn't have expected #18
Link vs Dark Link I thought was always badass.
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
:)
I thought it was the coolest when my man leapt 20 FEET IN THE AIR and delivered a powerful downward slice (at the end of age of calamity)
where's the killshot on Ganon in OoT, smacking Ganon in the face with the master sword and stabbing him in the mouth was epic as hell! lol
There’s also the basic motive for Wind Waker Link where he sets off on an epic adventure to save the world… all because he wanted to save his little sister!
Honorable mention: Terrako's final moments in the final mission in Age of Calamity.
Epic
thanks :)
I haven't played all the Zelda games but my favorite it twilight princess when link fights dark night
notice how 3 of these are from age of calamity. that game has the best animated fight scenes/general cutscenes out of any Zelda game ever
Link vs demise is my favorite
Can we acknowledge how link jumps like 10 feet off the ground the proceeds to do a triple back-flip into a downward sword slam straight into ganons chest and then in wind waker link as a kid jumps like 30 feet in the air and stabs Gabon in the head the brutality
I’m a little disappointed the entirety of TP’s Death Mountain isn’t on here. Link is casually chucking Gorons to the side will the volcano is raining hell down on him. Topped off with a 1v1 sumo match where he wins. And yes, he has the iron boots this whole time, but all that does is make him heavier so the Gorons’ momentum throws him off to the side. He still needed the raw strength to contend with them. And like I said, death mountain is erupting nonstop while all this is happening. This Link may be just as strong as OOT Link WITH the Goron bracelets.
Link😩😩😩😩😩why did you become banished just like ganon.
I’m a GameStop when I brought up skyward sword a guy asked me how I could possibly finish skyward sword when it was so bad.
I just told him you will regret not finishing it.
i expected this video to be like 19 hours long
The most badass moment of Link would definitely be how he reincarnates everytime to defeat the evil.
Oh boy smoochin time
I don't know, cartoon Link shield surfing on a lava of lave was pretty cool to.
After playing through age of calamity I like to think that in this moment at 10:41 link literally cut down thousands of enemies before being badly wounded
An honorable mention could be when link faces Calamity Gabon on BOTW and when he’s ready to fight, pulls out his master sword
I love that anime super smash one
I forgot this was the most epic moments and not the most badass moments, and I was gonna be pissed a 10 year old defeating the king of evil wasn't number 1
I think the coolest thing is when link was fighting all of the blight gannons in age of calamity
Link
90% Hero
100% Badass
The number one place is a bit ironic. Cause...he was a badass...fighting an (bird)ass
No link doesn’t have good moments he has fucken bad ass moments
FAX BOIIIIIII
What's the song at the beginning of the video?
Honestly, for me nothing beats the build-up in Twilight Princess. I mean, some times that last fight has lasted me for more than half an hour. Stil great top though.
You forgot Link pulling the Master Sword in Age of Calamity…
I wonder which Link is physically stronger? AoC Link parrying boulders with his weak arm or TP Link sumo wrestling Gorons?
i like the link vs revali cutscene because revali is a jerk and link destroys him, parrys an arrow and proves that he could beat revali any day of the week
The 2 epic moments you do not mention is when in skyward sword Zelda passes the power she has into look so he can turn the master sword into the true master sword. The other best moment is when In Hyrule Warriors age of calmity link pulled the master sword ready to go after Astor for threading to kill Astor, and breaking his sword he was using too.
