I have had 5 Focus ST's and I now have the 2023 version. Its noticeably more refined than the 2019 one I had before. The seats are fantastic, and the LED Matrix Lights are astonishing. The lights amaze you going round corners, meeting cars in front, cars coming towards you, the beam is constantly computer controlled and avoids dazzling the car in front or coming towards you. It also feels like it drives more solidly than the 2019 one I had before. Mean green turns heads too.
Have you tried the Focus 2019 1.O eco boost in st-line ? Im thinking about getting one and since u mentioned you had couple of those i wonder if u got some experience with this one and if you would recommend it
I've got the the mk4 running m365 and Mountune's upgrades absolutely love the car . I also upgraded my std alloys to oz alloys from Mountune with ps4 s tyres and I found them to brilliant in all conditions
From the USA: I had a 2013 Focus ST. 7 years, 44,000 of trouble-free miles. Great car. Replaced the battery at 42,000 miles. It was my only expense other than tires. Plan to go to Germany (left-hand drive) to get a new one, before they are no more. (Other cars I've had. 1988 BMW M5, 20, years. 87,000 miles. Also, 1993 Supra Turbo, also, Great Car, Also 20 years, 93,000 trouble-free miles) and all of these were accompanied by Mazda 626 Turbo's (5 of them) (1986-1991) and 2007 Mazda-speed 3 ... (all 'stock') ...This accounts for all to be 'low-mileage' cars. I LOVE CARS...! (manual shift only !)
I’ve got the 4.5 track pack and it’s a great hot hatch. One of the last manuals with great sound and pinch from the engine. Trackpack takes it up a notch for handling and visually with the black flowformed alloys, slightly lower stance from the KW3’s, bigger brembos and the gloss black exterior touches 👌🔥
No way, EV's are a passing fad that are already in big trouble, no one wants them and they don't do their main job which is "saving the environment" 😅 just look at the companies that have already pulled out of the EV market, petrol and fast petrol cars will come back within the next 4 to 8 years 👌
I highly doubt that petrol cars alone will make a comeback. There will still be EVs even if we like them or not. At least every government in every country are pushing and releasing mandates for them. I personally would never buy an EV until there are way better and improved infrastructure for it. As it stands, the charging infrastructure is garbage. I think there will be a mix. Petrol cars will definitely still be around but there will also be EVs.
Love the mk4/4.5 st. I have an eatate running the m365 pack with full exhaust cooler and air filter. Proper sleeper. I didnt get on with the ps4s tyres so opted for goodyear eagle f1 supersports which seem to be spot on for me. Although if you have the 365 pack most tyres will struggle especially in cooler temps and wet weather.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tyres: I own and run from new a 2020 mk4 in Orange Fury Mountune M330 mapped. I am incredibly surprised at the owners comment about these tyres. They are among the best all around money can buy and very few co-owners if any have ever complained that I have come across. The Pirellis which come with the track pack for the mk4.5 are strictly for high days and track days so I understand.
I agree with the tyres. They are Ford specific Pirelli P zeros. In the dry they are great but as soon as theres a damp patch, you only need to breath on the throttle and it slips.
Agree the ford specific Pirellis are rubbish in the wet or even slightly damp. I wore through mine in 6000 miles and ordered the same tyre as replacements. As it turned out my tyre shop ended up fitting Alfa Romeo specific P Zeros and they have proved dramatically better in the wet. Hopefully they will also last a little longer.
Lovely motor but I have just purchased a magnetic grey 5 door fiesta ST and I love that also. The nearside rear door looks a different colour on your focus
Great all-rounder really, and in terms of all-rounder rivals, its generally deemed better than the competing gen of GTI, and i30N has good to mixed reviews but is off sale in UK soon I think. Civic Type R very nice but the next step up... 4.5 looks really good with the refresh nose. Could be a future classic, if it turns out reliable enough with all the tech, that's the only fly in the ointment maybe.
I've got a '22 ST-Line - I love it! Couldn't be bothered with the juvenile engineered in pops and bangs and double fuel consumption of an ST - also, I prefer the sound of a 3 cylinder engine 😀
Good review thanks. Sadly this is the last ICE only fast Ford I reckon, can't include the Mustang as that is a muscle car. Last in fact old school hot hatch. What now with the demise of the baby Fezza ST and the Focus in 2025 now is the time to snap up a Mk4 or 4.5. Such an underated car. End of more than era, more like the end of an epoch. Very sad.
I've got a mk 3.5 and never really liked the 4s, until now. Lovely looking car inside and out. Doesn't look particularly quicker than mine with a stage 1 map though?
The Ford specific Pirelli tyres they come with are useless in damp or wet. I by accident had my front 2 replaced with so branded Alfa Romeo specific Pirelli’s and they are almost impossible to spin in any conditions.
The Focus use to be in the top 5 most sold cars in the UK. It’s not even in the top 10 anymore. The Ford Puma was the most sold vehicle last year in the UK. The market is shifting to SUVs and Ford has recognised this.
Was it announced they were killing it off before the video was made? Though also remember some content creators make stuff months in advance of them releasing it.
The last great Ford was back in 2011 when the 2.5 RS went out of production Ford then, went on to dilute the brand and palm us off by adding badges and fake sound

Takes getting used to. I used to watch the headlights dance rather than concentrate on driving. 😂
Have you tried the Focus 2019 1.O eco boost in st-line ? Im thinking about getting one and since u mentioned you had couple of those i wonder if u got some experience with this one and if you would recommend it
This is the spec I would recommend, I had the ST Track Pack on loan which was too hard for the UK roads
I've got the the mk4 running m365 and Mountune's upgrades absolutely love the car . I also upgraded my std alloys to oz alloys from Mountune with ps4 s tyres and I found them to brilliant in all conditions

I would love too get one of these one day, completely out of my budget but one day for sure, and the panoramic roof has just taken it up a level now

You know EVs are a scam because the EU put tariffs on chinese EVs. Only idiots buy EVs.

My neighbour has an estate with a Revo stage 2 package running 410 bhp. Proper sleeper really.

Was the same with my Fiesta ST MK6, its been an issue going back that far

I wanted the estate but was told long delay but they had a titanium spec estate and a great drive

Good for you the st is just better than the st line simple as that
@kkiwi54
you got junk badged with ST Line sorry for you but dont talk shit here
Love this gen of focus but I don’t think anything is better than the 1st or 2nd gen focus
Driven all of them and the mk2 is my favourite by a country mile.
@@StephenH-ms9og haven’t driven any yet as I’m only 15 but based on looks and sounds the mk1 and 2 are the best

The pilot sport 4s should be good in the rain, not sure what that's about. Maybe they could do with being a section or two wider
My friend has a black on black on black mk4.5 beautiful. In my opinion the last decent fast Ford.
5:36 why check the front tyres mate?
I've got a mk 3.5 and never really liked the 4s, until now. Lovely looking car inside and out. Doesn't look particularly quicker than mine with a stage 1 map though?
I was told by the person I got my puma from at Ford in Liverpool that this focus would indeed be the last version, and it's getting discontinued
The Ford specific Pirelli tyres they come with are useless in damp or wet. I by accident had my front 2 replaced with so branded Alfa Romeo specific Pirelli’s and they are almost impossible to spin in any conditions.
Need to do a review of the fiesta ST-3 mk8.5 the last ones aswell
Mk8 fiesta is better 8.5s were rushed and are lacking features that the mk8 had only good thing about the 8.5 is that they came with the lsd standard
They killed it off! Truly is the last great focus!
The Focus use to be in the top 5 most sold cars in the UK. It’s not even in the top 10 anymore. The Ford Puma was the most sold vehicle last year in the UK.
The market is shifting to SUVs and Ford has recognised this.
So why is UK/Europe getting rid of the Fiesta and Focus?
Can u do a vid on the newest swift sport
Dunno, lady Lucifer she drives nice ,mk 2.5.tdci if you dare , style line ..it's all about the pin strips !!dappa 😁😎🙏💯🤘
Actually 40k off the forecourt but yeah pick them up 30k
Could be my next car 😊
do a video on my E63 w212 5.5😊
The last year of Focus in production is 2025. They’re closing the plant in Germany. This will be the last fast ICE Ford hatchback
Ford are going to go out of business, ditching best selling products like fiesta for EV garbage will end badly
The Focus is set to be discontinued in 2025, sad times
Ford Puma RS AwD will be the last fast ford
Any confirmation of this??
Wow doing car reviews and you don’t know the Focus has been killed off. Research is key.
Was it announced they were killing it off before the video was made? Though also remember some content creators make stuff months in advance of them releasing it.

Hello, me I'm a big fan of your videos, you're my idol🌸

Looks awful.
its abit small
Sendddd ittttt
£30k second hand £38-39 new standard spec.
38K for the track spec currently.
@@mdc123-v2v Looked on Ford site & there’s some good deals
Looks like a hyundai i30
Mad colours won’t make it any faster. An S3 would give it a proper hiding!LOL🤣😂🤣😂
An S3 goes for 10k more, is far less fun around corners and the track times are almost identical.
