Old people know what's good. You learn that as you get older. I rode crotch rockets for years saying "You will never see me on a Harley". Then I ended up buying one and haven't looked back. Now I am looking for a geezer glide. The Cadillac of Harleys. 😁
@@CGOD A Honda Shadow 1100 is actually what converted me! Hopped on that and was like...whoa, this is like riding a couch down the road. I am sold! And yeah you give up A LOT of speed for comfort but I was ok with it. I had my fun and survived.
@@cknorris3644 exactly! Mine was a 750 that topped out around 90mph felt like a toy after I got on my first Harley touring bike, but yes indeed it feels so luxurious!
Just found the same bike, sitting under a shed, just parked, yrs ago, bought new local. In great shape, $500.00. Got a Raider, and vtx 1800, but, gotta add a Harley to the collection.
If youTake the back luggage box off and back rest. Which is connected to it that back seat looks way too big. I had to get a smaller and more thinner one
No way the air guage is for the shocks, I drained all the pressure out of them the day I bought the bike. It fluctuates with the ambient air temp also. But I don’t have many CD’s either lol
Ive got a 08 street glide. Love my 08. Great additions of the handlebars and true duals. Check out Eagle LED lighting for headlight and passing lamps. Youll be glad you did. Dont buy into the primary upgrade hype because hype is exactly what it is. Keep your bikes engine and drivetrain stock and dont ride it like a GSXR, it will serve you for 100k miles. Remember this, there are a ton of aftermarket company's out there pushing upgrades. Once you start this, you take away the longevity of your bike. Trust me, ive been riding for 50 years. Stay safe and enjoy the ride.
@@Glyder1959 I’ve always felt keeping the drivetrain stock is ideal for reliability and longevity. Only thing I do usually is exhaust as this one already has the Rinehart true dual headers, I’ve since added some different slip on pipes.
@ 2008 is my personal favorite for the electric throttle and still having the smaller back tire/fender. TC 96” is great for me, I don’t like the sound of the newer Milwaukee engines.
Strip it down make it look like a street glide i have spokes whitewalls to stereo system stretched saddle bags custom seat air ride on mine it will look badass.
Im trading my 2011 ir9n sportster 883 for an 05 Electric Glide. This will be my 2nd bike. But I'd like to turn it into a vicla style as well. 21's up front and 18 in the back.

Congrats on the ride.
Seeing that it's been a year, those 'flapper johnies' you called them, are to direct some air when it's real hot.

@@MiketheNerdRanger yeah I have since lowered it and put a different seat. Definitely the heaviest bike I’ve owned!
@CGOD Yeah, don't these weigh like 800 lbs or something crazy? Gotta deal with that, too.

theres a cd player on the radio, flip the the black piece up that says harley davidson on it. also, the air gauge is for your rear shocks
