Maybe he thinks her boyfriend is secretly trans. Gotta assume the most extreme scenario of "depravity", right? Or he just doesn't know what bisexual means, and thinks "lesbian" means any female queer person
Telling a gay person "I just don't agree with your lifestyle" is like telling a fish that you don't agree with a lifestyle that takes place in the water.
They kinda do tho. The whole idea behind the eucharist is the stale cracker and welch's training booze turns into literal flesh and blood. And that no one's turned to this miraculous ability to go on a gingerbread man rampage is further proof Christianity is *******.

He's a religious conservative man, and you're a relatively conventionally attractive non-religious queer woman. That's the reason he's so fixated on you and has an entire series just for you. He's probably secretly into you, and he's trying to "fix" you. It sounds creepy, because it is. They do this kind of shit all the time.

If you think homosexual sex is merely a choice (speaking rhetorically), like the choice between strawberry ice cream and banana ice cream, then you sir/madam, are bisexual at the very least, since no "99%" heterosexual would consider it a simple choice. Unless the circumstances were somewhat unusual perhaps...
A friend of mine says, _Whenever you tell someone that you're bisexual, all they hear is gay._ Maybe that's what's going on here. Emma says, *_Hello, Lovely People. Happy Pride 🌈 Month! I'm bi, and I get to be visible_* for a whole month. *_Can you believe it?!_* What he hears: _Doesn't this les-bean know that Pride is a sin?_
I think the word in their mind is "them" or "other", because they react the same if you tell them you're atheist, left wing, progressive, a secular humanist, believe in science, don't passionately hate the very idea of a federal government, etc., etc., etc... It's just wilfully ignorant bigotry all the way down...
Try explaining that you're transgender and NO, that doesn't mean I'm a transvestite (or like Dr Frankenfuter) also NO, being transgender is nothing to do with whether you're gay or not! Oh (pick your favourite deity as an expletive)!😠The best one was saying that (in all honesty) "I don't know if I'm gay, straight, bisexual or asexual these days!" Explanation: As I child I KNEW I was a girl - I just had a problem with my body between my legs. When I became a teen I wondered "Should I go out with a girl" but then thought "but I AM a girl - would that make me a lesbian and to be honest, does that matter?". I then thought "Well I'll go out with a boy" and then looked between my legs and quite frankly gave up at that point!
This strikes at the heart of the matter. I don't have a problem with people that believe in a higher power that created everything and believe that we continue to exist in some form or another after death. But they need to recognize that the arguments they present for their belief are fallacious. Every single one of them is and always will be fallacious. You cannot make a claim, "There is a supernatural creator God", without providing evidence for your claim. And no, you can't use what is written in the Bible to claim that what is written in the Bible is true. If I ask "How do you know that what is written in the Bible is true?", you can't answer "Because it's written in the Bible that what's written is true". That's beyond childish.
@Temulon I completely agree. I am a Christian myself, and I won't sit there and tell someone - "There is a God!!" - because I don't have hard proof that there is any type of divine creator. Christianity is a *faith* based religion. That being said, when science contradicts what is in the Bible, I will obviously side with science on the matter because, to me, if the Christian God did create the universe, then they must have created science as well.
@@FriendofFantasy You said Christianity is a faith based religion, but all religions are faith based. There are no religions that are rooted in science with irrefutable evidence backing their claims. About contradictions, if the Bible is supposed to be a owners manual for correct living and directly inspired by God, shouldn't it be free from errors and superfluous information? It just seems to me that if a book was so important for God to want humans to have it would have been written better.
@@Temulon the sort of argument, and now i will put it very vaguely and to the point, so the sort of argument that claims well, i would love to see a swish watch to naturally appear in the wild, and thats like 10 to the power of 100s less complex then any form of life, is quite a strong argument for a, lets call it, intelligence created universe.
@@larryn4219 It isn't a strong argument. There are three main points of criticism against the Watchmaker analogy: 1. Complexity does not necessarily require a designer; it can also come from mindless natural processes. David Hume gives the examples of a snowflake, and of the generation of crystals. These are mentioned in his works "Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion" and "An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding". Other people have mentioned the Infinite monkey theorem. 2. The watch is a bad analogy. 3. The watchmaker is more complex than the watch. If complexity proves intelligent design, then the question arises who designed such a complex watchmaker.
Here's my frivolous diagnosis on this guy: Bizarro Jim Carrey sees a video by a cute girl he can't get his (metaphorically) tiny head around and gets obsessed. I have to admit I find him hilarious as well, but I'm pretty sure he's on the autism spectrum: doesn't really get jokes, doesn't really get fiction, doesn't really get the point of what others say, has very special interests he's obsessed about and researches deeply (the bible, ghosts, the moon landing), tries to imitate how other people speak, but doesn't understand the right context for it ("smash that like button"), rambles on about seemingly unrelated stuff, would be perceived as "weird" by the general population, thinks his opinion is the gold standard... Too bad he's so into Christian believes.
No kidding! I thought he would catch on to the style & setup of the video he was responding to eventually and figure it out but, wow. It’s like he genuinely thought _she_ was asking these questions lol.
I think he understood she was joking, but was pissed about that. Like that she was joking about something that to him is no laughing matter. So he tried to answer the questions genuinely.

the “I love them but I hate their lifestyle” is something that I generally hear from people trying hold their anti-LGBTQ+ perspective while still maintaining a relationship with people in the community. It’s frustrating because they try to come across as tolerant and loving, but it doesn’t work.
When bigots say things akin to "I don't hate [LGBT/minorities/ect.]" then follow up with something that clearly expresses hate, what they mean can be summed up in two ways: "I don't hate gay people I hate it when gay people don't pretend to be straight people." and "I'm not racist I don't hate black people, I just hate it when they want to be considered equal to white people."
@@tims.2717 Not necessarily. I repeated the same talking points for decades, but it was all internalized self-hatred. I didn't know what being queer actually meant, having been raised from childhood to believe that it's inherently immoral (for no rational reason), and ALWAYS involves or leads to some sort of predatory abuse. Being a shy, sensitive, trans-girl egg, of course I didn't want to get abused and dehumanized in wild orgies, and that hostile caricature was the only representation of queer culture that I'd been exposed to. I also grew up in a town of 600 people, and went into the military (during "don't ask, don't tell") after high school, so was being actively propagandized and officially discouraged by my employer, the US government, from associating with queer people at all IRL, which could have helped expose my hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance. So, queer-phobic Christians definitely are lying to themselves. Their own doctrine teaches that every sin can be purified by Love, but they twist that into legalistic strictures (eg, telling kids to get married before having sex, instead of teaching them to value consent and natural human diversity of behavior and desire).
God creates Eve from Adams rib, which makes Eve genetically male, then got ticked off because Eve wouldn't stop smashing her sons to create the rest of human life on Earth ... Even though I believe in a God, my brother is worried I’m going to hell since I’m not a Christian. I have no problem with his beliefs, and I know he speaks from love. What a narcissistic god that would be that demands worship. Seems a lot of religion, especially Christianity is based on an anthropomorphic idea of God. 41:54 "in what universe words dimension and vibration equivalent"? That is a fascinating question actually. Like obviously those are two different things. But they are connected in a way. Basically if we only perceive some dimensions, we would be unable to distinguish between a thing that is stationary, or vibrating in a dimension we don't perceive. And this is where those terms got conflated as "vibration in invisible dimension = invisible vibration". And from there you have the chain of people who don't fully grasp what they are saying repeat fancy words and you arrive at equivication between a dimension and vibrations that happen within those dimensions.

As a gay guy who knew he was gay from a very young age (inkling at four, certain at seven), I love these, "I don't hate the sinner: I hate the sin." My response, "When it comes to Christianity, I don't hate the stupid: I hate the stupidity." Homosexuality is not a "lifestyle choice," nor can one be "groomed" into it. You know what is both a lifestyle choice and something that someone is often groomed into? Christianity. These people take life way TF too seriously. Get a prescription for alprazolam already, peeps. Life should be fun and rewarding, and not a sad and miserable exercise in judgment.
When I hear people say homosexuality is a choice, I always respond, “Oh, so you could choose to be gay today and be perfectly happy with that decision.”
One theory I’ve seen a lot of people talk about that I think seems very possible is that those who say sexuality is a choice are actually bisexuals with internalized homophobia. They think it’s a choice because they themselves chose not to act on their same sex attraction and only act on their opposite sex attraction and now they think all people can choose who they’re attracted to.
“Lifestyle” is a stupid-ass word anyway, in every context. I don’t have a “lifestyle,” I just have a life. Normal people of any gender or sexual orientation or whatever are just living their lives. “Lifestyles” are for rich or otherwise privileged people who are putting on a show for other people they want to impress, or want to distinguish themselves as better than.
And regarding 'lifestyles,' the one people like Mr fun police in the video propose is one where you're expected to live your life as a punishment for a legendary noncrime that happened so far back that you wouldn't have been so much as a glancing thought at the time. It's a miserable excuse of a life that you have to be groomed to think is any way to live, that or break a number of rules just so you have some sliver of joy in life. "Despite what fiction authors try to sell... vampires aren't real." Fiction authors aren't trying to peddle their fantasy books as nonfiction!!
There are three main points of criticism against the Watchmaker analogy:
If complexity proves intelligent design, then the question arises who designed such a complex watchmaker.

the “I love them but I hate their lifestyle” is something that I generally hear from people trying hold their anti-LGBTQ+ perspective while still maintaining a relationship with people in the community. It’s frustrating because they try to come across as tolerant and loving, but it doesn’t work.
When bigots say things akin to "I don't hate [LGBT/minorities/ect.]" then follow up with something that clearly expresses hate, what they mean can be summed up in two ways:
"I don't hate gay people I hate it when gay people don't pretend to be straight people."
and
"I'm not racist I don't hate black people, I just hate it when they want to be considered equal to white people."
They are not tolerant or loving. They are lying to themselves and to others about how they really feel.

Hey they have their nutball theories why shouldn't we?
41:54 "in what universe words dimension and vibration equivalent"?
That is a fascinating question actually. Like obviously those are two different things. But they are connected in a way.
Basically if we only perceive some dimensions, we would be unable to distinguish between a thing that is stationary, or vibrating in a dimension we don't perceive. And this is where those terms got conflated as "vibration in invisible dimension = invisible vibration". And from there you have the chain of people who don't fully grasp what they are saying repeat fancy words and you arrive at equivication between a dimension and vibrations that happen within those dimensions.
Why is it always these kinds of people look absolutely miserable, whilst people like yourself are always cheerful and spread joy and even look fun? I think that speaks volumes on the kinds of nonsense they're peddling.

As a Christian, I never laughed harder than I did at that video and your channel in general. Just goes to show that A LOT,of Christians have NO sense of humour. And, as a Christian, you have also made me think and re-evaluate a lot of my beliefs...
An open mind is all we're asking for. 🥰
A lot of people don’t have a sense of humor. You’d be surprised.
i've been an atheist/agnostic almost 99% of my life, I'm 39, and I recently realised, following Christ was the best decision of my life. Yes, i have no scientific proves of existence of God, and I don't expect it, but what made become a follower of Christ is realisation that the world doesn't exist for nothing, and we, humans, the most sophisticated creation on this planet, and may be in whole universe, with abilities to observe and appreceate the complexity, beauty and ugliness of this world, also must have a big purpose, and without God nothing just makes no sense - in the eyes of atheists, humans are just a worthless drop of water in the ocean. become a stronger Christian, sister, not just official Christian, and your life will be filled with purpose. Atheism is the way to depression, purposelessness, and eventually hell. please ignore my faulty English.
@@XAE_A_Xii so what IS our purpose? Can you enlighten us on that?
@@XAE_A_Xii My already has purpose. A lot of people's lives have purpose. It may not be YOUR purpose, but there IS purpose to our lives. I just don't feel rhe need to push my faith on to everyone else. If you want to know, ask. I will tell. But in deconstructing my faith, my relationship with God has grown stronger. But that doesn't mean I don't get a laugh out of life.
And atheism DOES NOT lead to depression. I'm actually tired of Christians saying that lack of faith leads to mental illness or whatever. I know plenty of Christians who believe in God and have a strong faith and relationship but STILL have depression, anxiety, OCD, etc.
Re: Christian Vampires: I once argued with a christian woman who told me to "Just allow yourself to believe - you will see that you will like it!" I said: "How can you not see that that is impossible - it's like you wouldn't be able to just make yourself believe werewolves existed!" She looked at me dead in the eye: "But, they do!"
Remember, werewolves became a largely Christian superstition and were viewed very similarly as witches.

My response, "When it comes to Christianity, I don't hate the stupid: I hate the stupidity."
Homosexuality is not a "lifestyle choice," nor can one be "groomed" into it.
You know what is both a lifestyle choice and something that someone is often groomed into? Christianity.
These people take life way TF too seriously. Get a prescription for alprazolam already, peeps. Life should be fun and rewarding, and not a sad and miserable exercise in judgment.
You said it brother.
(Also a lifestyle that in part undermines the supposed reason for Christ's death)
I grew up, being surrounded by people like Russ, and it makes me glad I'm an atheist now.

Lol... Emma casually makes a joke about the bible code and then he spends an inordinate amount dissecting the entire thing like its the goddamn Davinci code... the man truly is a work of comedy in spite of how serious he is.
I read the Bible Code book when I was at university. It was basically someone using a wordsearch program that was a perfect example of the law of large numbers. It was a total waste of time. The DaVinci code was based on an amalgam of 3 conspiracy theory books that I had already read.
The man is a work of comedy because of how serious he is.
He sure got tricked by something. Something hit to close to home. I think his video is more about his own insecurity, and he tries to hold on to his believes with his fingernails.
His talk about demons got me thinking about, how come demons are not still around. His believes are based on a person able to remove demons. So what about demons after that person left earth?
Another example of horseshoe theory. He is so humourless that it wraps back around to become funny. Anti-humour.

Given his first comment about vampires in fiction, I am not sure Russ understands that fiction is written as ... fiction, not as a representation of what the author thinks is true.
This is sort of weirdly fascinating because I feel like most of the time, when men make a show of "debating" or "debunking" a woman who is very clearly making a joke, it's done in bad faith because all they really want to do is performatively act like women are nonsensical and stupid. This guy really seems to genuinely think he's adding important context and clarification to the discussion. The severity with which he talks about vampires not being real feels like he is really seriously worried about there being people who don't know that.
