The problem with plastic surgery- for some people it’s just never enough. Obviously he wanted to change something in his identity & went too far. Doesn’t matter to me one way or the other it just bothers me & makes me sad when people just can’t be at peace with themselves. Our bodies are sacred & should be treated with care & kindness, our bodies are not like houses we can just renovate over & over without harm being done. Our souls deserve better than that.
I like how DOA updated the "Spin Me Round" song to fit the newer time of 2002. Pete made a beautiful man & also a beautiful woman. It's funny: just recently I learned men used to be the ones who wore makeup & dressed up in the past, but now women are the ones who do it. What is acceptable changed over the years, but Pete's voice is amazing through it all. Sadly, I just recently learned of him as a result of Jimmy Falon & Paul Rudd's parody video or "Spin Me Round".

Not sure how old you are, but if you were old enough to have gone clubbing in the 1980s in the US, you were very familiar with Dead Or Alive. From 1985-1989 they had a series of singles that topped the US dance charts, which meant more in that era than it does today. Madonna invited them to do a major tour as her opening act in 1987, which probably would have made them much more famous and commercial here in the States, but unfortunately Pete could not do the tour because his mother was gravely ill at the time. The band found huge success in Japan in the late 80s, way more so than the US or the UK. His later popularity in the UK was due to his appearances on UK reality programs, beginning with "Celebrity Big Brother".
