I˝ve had an opportunity to listen smaller (bookshelf) Boressen speakers and they sounded "out of this world". Airines, superfast and accurate midbass, strong punch on lows, when needed... fantastic! Maybe first speakers of that size, that I can understand hefty price tag. Trully no compromises whatsoever.

I visited this room about three times (as it was located by the only bathroom). I could only stand listening to the heavy Dutch accented designer for so long, wanting to scream out "just play some damn music".

lol...he's got personality for sure...the dutch accent with a sailor's tongue on certain things was fun. He did like to share his thoughts passionately which can be a polarizing.

That would be a 'Danish' accent. Dutch is what they speak in Holland ;)

i never got around to trying the room with different music. he sure liked playing loud which is cool. but i was astonished at the 200k price! and like 50k for the small bookshelf? can only be so good at that small size idk one of the most expensive speakers per size on the market almost.

I spent time in this room. At one point they played someone playing an acoustic guitar and singing. Problem was that the guitar was 15ft wide and 10ft high. Not a realistic soundstage at all.

Возможно это проблема записи и звукорежиссёра, а не акустических систем.
И пока вы единственный, кто отметил этот недостаток.

Nothing in High End Audio is ever overpriced as long as they can get someone to pay those insane prices for their gear. It's a free market. Do I think Raidho and Borresen are overpriced....."Absolutely!!!!!" But, only because I can't afford them.

it is doubtful to test the sound recorded from a live performance in an unprepared listening room

That sounds good but the system only seems to be lacking a bit in depth of presentation, which might have been due to speaker placement.

I can guarantee you, these Z5 Speakers go really down low... I had the opportunity to take a listen to them today with some tracks you will not hear in the "audiophile world" , if you have the chance to have a dealer near to you, I would suggest to give them a chance.
My listenig tipp is for example "Astrix - Bungee" or other tracks from him, you will be surprised how deep, controlled and punchy they are 😮

I've heard of mass loading the top of gear with thin/resonating top, and even did it myself in the past, but I haven't seen loading one corner with a footer.
It was too late in the day to do A/B testing. This was literally the last 5 minutes of the show.

Trust me, if you asked him, you would get an uncomfortably long explanation that only an audio engineer could comprehend.

    • @emilkristensen6667

@@andycrane I'll go ahead and explain the reasoning about it. All pieces of electronics does make a lot of eternal vibrance due to power supplies, power modules and so on. Normally when using rubbing feets those vibrations can't escape as rubber works like a rubberband. So everytime those vibrations wants to escape it simply can not and all the vibrations will be returned into the eternal pieces of the electronic. Making more and more vibrances within and creating more and more noise.
By adding the feets which are resonating devices takes out the vibrations so the electronics doesn't have to deal with it. So even though they are called feets, they will work perfectly fine on top of a device as well since same issues occurs there.
