The 30/20/10 utilization rule is only advantageous when looking to apply for new credit. Otherwise, you should be spending naturally and letting your balance report regardless of utilization while paying the statement balance in full every month. Reporting high balances and paying them in full helps with CLIs and shows you can responsibly handle debt instruments.
Is Chase a better card to have ? can I get chase credit journey service without a chase card or bank account ? Can I have less than $2k limit ( letting my kids use that card).. thx
I'd definitely recommend taking a look at your own Credit Strategy first- work on building up the Credit Score (On-time payments, asking for credit limit increases to help with credit utilization, etc) while over 5/24 and then establishing that relationship with Chase once you get back under 5/24. Definitely track your 5/24 status consciously and apply again when it makes sense.
I just got approved for CFU last week not knowing about the new sign up bonus for CSP. Would it be too soon to apply for a CSP? I'm a chase private client and have a FICO of ~820. I haven't applied for another credit card since 2018.

Thanks so much Jon!
Got my freedom unlimited right off the bat $2,200 starting limit pretty happy banking with Chase
Let's go! Congrats Robert!
Since the amex gold is a charge card. It actually doesn't go towards credit utilization because it doesn't have a set limit
You are right, I just realized that- I used the wrong card for the example, so thank you for pointing that out!
Just got approved for the chase ink business ! Pretty pumped for that
Let's goo!! Congratulations!
What CL did you get ?
Great job on UA-cam ❤
Thank you Vicki :)

You would need to have an active relationship with Chase (Card, Bank Account) to have access to their Credit Journey Card. Appreciate you watching!
So then it good to apply for the freedom unlimited, and freedom flex 3-4 months apart ? Are they inquiry sensitive or just 5/24 is what matters ?
5/24 is mainly what matters- 3/4 months apart should be plenty of time to get both the Freedom Unlimited & Freedom Flex. Thanks so much for watching!
Matt question will this help

How much time is suggested from downgrading to a no annual fee cc back to csp?
Every 4 months- to take advantage of the 48 month Chase Sapphire Rule of getting a new bonus every 4 years!

I don’t think it would be too sign. I’d say to shoot your shot and apply for the CSP as well. Thanks for watching Al!
