Our approach is guided by the insights of scholars like Ayatullah Shaykh Asif Muhsini, hte classmate of Ayatullah Sistani, in Najaf, who noted that one of the results of the Mimbar presenting weak and fabricated narrations is "the tragic condition has led to the formation of a culture of distortions and misrepresentations... so rooted in the minds of the common people and the half-educated scholars that a group of the Khawāṣṣ... cannot speak about Iṣlāh... because of the fear of revolt and uprising of the ʿAwāmm.”
Thus engaging with high-level scholars in the seminaries without first elevating the intellectual level of the masses is futile, as the higher level scholars are currently unable to initiate reform due to the public's immaturity. Our mission is to educate the masses and raise their intellectual level to create an environment where meaningful reform is possible. Through the internet, we reach a global audience, preparing the ground for the necessary enlightenment and maturity.

If we were to accept your logic then there would be no reason for Allah to send the Prophet as everyone can understand and find guidance by simply reading the Quran. The prophet and the Ahlulbayt would sit in gatherings with their students teaching and explaining the Quranic verses. Even today we see how when there is a lack of true understanding Quranic verses can be misused by the enemies and the meaning changed to suit various agendas. We do heavily rely on ahadith to develop a full and clear understanding of the Quran

Would be good to take ur take on this. I myself believe that the quranic message is preserved but a harakat for harakat preservation is far stretched. What i care is the overall meaning is whats preserved.

Hatred for sahaba, takfeer of sahaba led those people to believe in tahrif....

    • @Al-Islaah
      @Al-Islaah  2 місяці тому +2

As the scholar has explained, it was not hatred of Sahaaba that led to belief in Tahrif. It was desperation to make Imamah a part of the Din that led to claims about Tahrif.
Hatred of Sahaba and Takfir was only the by-product of believing in the Divine Appointment of Imam Ali (as).
Because once you believe that someone is divinely appointed, then you can't love those who don't accept that divine appointment. Just like how you wouldn't love Abu Jahl because he rejected the divine appointment of the Prophet (Saww). So the real problems for the Shia sect came about from this belief that Imam Ali (as) was divinely appointed.
Our channel has shown how Imam Ali (as) himself rejected the claim of divine appointment and affirmed Shoora. See:

@@Al-Islaah Which is exactly why I don't reject either. I've seen Sunni ahadith talking about tahrif in regards to the same verse and the same distortion. If that's not corroboration then I don't know what is.
You're treating the Quran as a fully authentic source because that's what you've been told. Remember Uthman compiled the Quran and as a Shia I do not believe that Uthman is trustworthy. I won't discredit the Quran nor say we shouldn't recite it, but distortion is clear from many verses even from a logical standpoint. Sometimes the verses in a Surah just jump from one topic to another without any pattern whatsoever and only when I read the ahadith about distortions it makes sense.
This is coming from a person who used to defend the preservation of the Quran almost all his life. The truth may be hard to bear but I will not reject it just because it doesn't seem good to me. Now go on and prove to me from a Shia source that the Quran has been preserved.

Dear sister, we are merely community volunteers and lay people just like you. It's just that watching Al-Islaah lectures has opened our eyes and made us realise that we have deviated from the teaching of the Quran and Ahlul Bayt (as) in some critical areas.
Our Islaah scholarship is teaching us to be critical, to read the Quran more closely and more seriously, and not accept any claim or narration which is thrown around until we check it against the Quran to see whether it conforms to its worldview or not.
We are not here to win any temporary arguments. If you make valid points backed by strong evidence, we will not argue with you. If we were stubborn or insincere people, we wouldn't have responded to the call of Islaah. But Al Islaah provided us the crystal clear evidence from Quran, from Nahj al-Balaagha, from Sahifa, from the Quran-verified traditions of the Ahlul Bayt (as), so we submitted to that.
If someone else can bring us superior evidence, we will submit to that, and even try to convince our scholarship to do the same.
As for Allama Majlisi, why are you surprised if Ayatullah Khomeini advised people to read Allama Majlisi's Persian works. Just because he deviated severely in the matter of Tahrif, doesn't mean every word he wrote was wrong.
There are hundreds of authentic narrations in his Bihar al-Anwar. No one is saying we should throw out the baby with the bath water.
What we were alerting you was this dangerous approach of blindly relying on narrations in the hadith corpus. It harmed Allama Majlisi and duped him into believing in a ridiculous and absurd concept like Tahrif (corruption) in Allah's Final Book.
That's what focussing too much on narrations falsely attributed to the Ahlul Bayt (as) can do.
This is why all grand Usooli Maraje and Al Islaah scholarship are united in reminding people of this authentic Hadith of Imam Sadiq (as):
From Yūnus bin ʿAbd al-Raḥmān (disttinguished Companion of the 8th Imam (as)): some of our companions asked him (i.e. Yūnus) in my presence: O Abā Muḥammad, why are you so strict/severe (i.e. skeptical) in matters of Ḥadīth (narrations), and why do you so frequently reject the narrations of our companions? What drives you to reject (so many of) the Aḥādīth?
He said, Hishām bin al-Ḥakam informed me that he heard Imam Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq (as) saying: ‘Do not accept any Hadith from us unless it agrees with the Quran and the Sunnah, or you can find support for it from our prior established Aḥādīth, because al-Mughīrah bin Saʿīd (May Allah Curse him) added (fabricated) Aḥādīth to the books of the companions of my father which my father had not narrated. Therefore, fear Allah, and do not accept in our name anything that goes against the Statement of our Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet (Saww), because whenever we narrate, we say: Allah Said, and the Messenger of Allah (SAWW) said.’
Yūnus says: I came to Iraq, and found a group of the companions of Imam al-Bāqir (as) over there, and I also found many companions of Imam al-Ṣādiq (as) over there, (and they were in good numbers), so I listened (to their narrations) from them, and took their books of Ḥadīth from them, and then after that, I presented them before Imam Abū al-Ḥasan al-Riḍā (as), so he rejected so many of those Aḥādīth, and pointed out that they were not from the Aḥādīth of Imam al-Ṣādiq (as).
Then he (i.e. Imam al-Riḍā (as)) said to me: ‘Indeed Abū al-Khaṭṭāb lied against Imam al-Ṣādiq (as). May Allah Curse Abū al-Khaṭṭāb, and also the followers of Abū al-Khaṭṭāb are continuing to add these fabricated narrations to the books of the companions of Imam al-Ṣādiq (as) to this very day.
Therefore, do not accept in our name anything that goes against the Qur’ān, because when we narrate, we always narrate Aḥādīth that are in agreement with the Qur’ān, and in agreement with the Sunnah, for we only narrate from Allah and His Messenger, and we don’t say: so and so said this and so and so said that, otherwise our speech would become self-contradictory. Indeed the speech of the last of us is the same as the speech of the first of us, and the speech of the first of us confirms the speech of the last of us. Therefore, if someone comes to you with that which goes against it, then return back his statement to him, and say: you know better what you have come with, because in every speech that comes from us, there is a Ḥaqīqah (truth), and Nūr (light/radiance) on it, and everything that does not have Ḥaqīqah (truth) with it and Nūr (light/radiance) on it is from Shaiṭān.’
      ---------------------------
It was you who initiated the discussion. If you want to back out now, that's your call. We are here to enlighten and educate.
We will, however, leave you with answers for your parting questions and thoughts:
You wrote: "really I wonder, if u do want to do islaah you would or could do of the billion non Muslims…or million other Muslim sects…why aim at one sect….?"
This is like telling an English Professor at university, you could spend your time teaching so many little children how to read and write the alphabet, why are you wasting it teaching advanced level English?
He will say so that when those children who are being taught alphabets right now should have qualified and capable professors to teach them advanced level english when they get to university.
Similarly, there are hundreds of Dawah organisations around the world inviting people to Islam. Then there are dozens of Shia institutions which are working on bringing Muslims to the school of Ahlul Bayt. But if the school of Ahlul Bayt is itself not reformed and improrved, if we leave it in the hands of Akhbaris and deviants to corrupt it with all their Ghuluww, then the school will be in such a mess, no right minded person will want to come to it.
So we are working to raise awareness within the school and to enlighten people and empower them with knowledge and connect them to the real teachings of the Ahlul Bayt away from the influences of the Ghulat.
Alhamdullillah, the Haqq is beginning to shine through the efforts of our channel. People are beginning to see the difference between the Allah-focussed, God-Centric vision of the Ahlul Bayt (as) and the currently predominant Ghali vision that seeks to replace Allah with Imams and make them the object of all focus, attention, supplication, and devotion, while Allah gets relegated to the back burner naoodhbillah as we have seen with the case of the "Father" in Christianity.

I know what he means but he's said it in the wrong way or he just heard someone else say this. As Jafiri Shia what I think he is trying to say is the Quran has no sect in its laws and understanding and brings all Muslims to the one truth if they understand it . But the Ummah is a different thing here. The Ummah is split and even has different tafsir, not completely, and a different understanding of Islam and history.

    • @Al-Islaah
      @Al-Islaah  Місяць тому +1

Scholars already know this stuff, so what's the point debating them or convincing them of stuff they already know.
We are youths. Alhamdulillah watching Al Islaah lectures has removed our confusions and brought us closer to the real message of the Quran and the authentic teaching of the Ahlul Bayt (as).
The youths have stopped attending mosques because of the baseless and bogus fabricated narrations, dreams and visions that the likes of Shaykh Shahnawaz have been preaching. So the youths going astray is on them.
As it is, it is not the respected Dr. Sayyid Ali Hur who is preaching in your mosque or on your Mimbar. It is the likes of Shaykh Shahnawaz. So if they are driving the youths away from the
mosque, like they just did with 5 youths from your family, then how come you are blaming the respected Dr. Syed Ali Hur for that.
Don't you see how Dr. Syed Ali Hur is actively inviting people to the real message of the Quran and authentic teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (as) on Al Islaah channel? Don't you see how the channel is growing and drawing so many more people from all sectarian backgrounds, and strengthening their faith in the real message of the Quran and the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (as)?
We have received so many many messages from youths around the world thanking us for clearing their confusions, and strengthening their faith in evidence based Islam and dispelling misconceptions they had about the school of the Ahlul Bayt (As).
So if anything our channel and the speakers on it have brought people towards Islam.
If the Akhbari speakers you invite to your mosques have driven youth away from your mosque with their poor Akhlaq, arrogance, self-righteousness, constant character assassination and badmouthing of reformers, narrations of dreams, visions, and fabrications, and making crazy claims like Thawab of Azadaars being 100 times more than Thawab of the actual Shuhadaa of Karbala, then please don't insult our intelligence by placing the blame for that on our scholars who are beacons of true Islam and defenders of the actual school of Ahlul Bayt (as). Rather, place your blame squarely on your speakers, and also on yourself for not doing more to campaign against such speakers who are driving our youths away from Islam with their antics and theatrics.
So please don't forget: The real issue lies with those Akhbari speakers who, through their poor conduct, arrogance, and spurious claims, are driving youths away. It’s important to recognize that the responsibility for this issue lies with them and with those who continue to support or tolerate such individuals. Instead of blaming our scholars, consider addressing these issues within your own community to prevent further alienation.
