Max power on these is at 6,250 RPM, but the trans here is shifting well short of that. These were solid cars and a great value for the time. My folks had theirs for 9 years and 100k miles; only a rock through the A/C compressor sent it to the repair shop.
currently at 230k miles with my 08 sel fwd. original engine, transmission.. and even spark plugs, crazy enough. its never broken down, always runs smooth. one thing these cars can have issues with is the timing chain and water pump, and every ford’s issue: rocker panel, wheel well, and subframe rust! other than that these things will last a lifetime

I think the tachometer is inaccurate because when he starts the video the engine is idling at 0 rpm
Not just that, at 0:06 it shifts at 5100RPM, then at 0:10 it shifts at 5400RPM, so the rpm gauge might be off
How reliable are these?
Mine has been good. Needed a new computer at 170k. Suspension sucks, but it's a good car.
About as good as it gets for a 2008. On par with Toyotas
I drive a 09 and it currently has 203,556 miles and still runs amazing never needed any major repairs
