Found out about Lionel Loueke back in around 2015 or so - he was playing in this low-key jazz club in Georgetown, DC and my mother (thanks mom) got me tickets for us to go together. I had no idea of who he was or what I was about to listen... Needless to say, it was one for the books, since the entire band killed it and he was just too good. Love this man's music to death! Tribal Dance is definitely one of my favorite songs of all time. It has the same effect on me as Chameleon by Herbie, for its beautiful progression and storyline. I have two of his albums autographed and made so much art to his music that I can't count. We love you Loueke!
Tribal dance was featured in the Lifetime movie "Back to School Mom" Starring Kimberly Elise and Denzel Wittaker ...Very subtitle but soo distinguishing I had to search for it ~~ great collaboration ! good movie too
