I have scoured the internet and this video was the only one that successfully lead me to swapping out my fuel injectors in my 2014 Chrysler Town and Country! I just finished buttoning up my van and works great. 3 mechanics could not figure out the cause of misfire. I decided to give it a go so that I could check my ignition coils. Without your extremely detailed video I would never have attempted doing it myself. I found a very tiny pinhole in one of the coil boots and replaced it. Test drove the van and the issue has been resolved. Very appreciative of the step by step video. You did a great job my friend!!!

This was a great deal of help. I had the manual but it keeps directing you to go to different sections when you disassemble different parts of the engine which just make it so hard to keep track of. But this video goes through it step by step and the mechanic gives excellent details and description of each step which makes it much more manageable and less daunting. Thank you! I would give more if I could! You helped save me about a 200-300 dollar service charge!

This video is so well done. I watched it 3 times before tackling the job and I played it back step-by-step to do the job. I'm a novice, having only changed the oil in my motorcycle. I especially appreciate that no assumptions were made about my knowledge of how to remove clips, etc. The only problem I ran into was getting the socket stuck in the shaft. I removed it by unscrewing the spark plug and fashioning a hook to pull out the socket. Then I went to the parts store to buy a locking extension and finished the job with no further issues. When I was finished, the check engine light was on. I tried to use a sequence I found on UA-cam to clear the light but it didn't work. Following some other UA-cam advice, I just drove the van for a while and the light went off on its own. The rough idle is gone and my new van is running like a new van! I'm so proud of myself for doing this successfully and saving $300! Thanks for such great instructions!

Absolutely one of the best how-to videos I've come across. Not only was the video itself very professionally done, no shaking or out-of-focus, or annoying background music, it was very informative, showing all that was necessary and no unnecessary chitchat, or spending half the video showing the purchasing and unpacking of the new plugs.

Superb video. You made it simple enough, so that the average person without much technical knowledge and words, would easily understand the process. I would like to add, take the opportunity to inspect and clean the threads on all bolts and studs before reinstalling them and lubricate rubber and plastic components as needed. If you were an American, I could almost say you were one of my students years ago. Keep up the good work!!!

First time ever I took laptop to garage and went thru my vehicle step by step following video. THANKS! Took 2.5 hours start to finish. Could do it in much less time if I had to do it again. I used shop vac a lot including cleaning out spark plug holes before removing them. Also replaced coil packs. With 100k on them why not. Also plenum gaskets. A waste of $34 as the originals were in excellent condition with no deformity of any kind. As I've always done I put a LIGHT smear of grease on the plastic nipples before reinstalling rubber hoses. Makes it much easier to get them off in the future. I do this on radiators et al. I've broken off nipples that the hoses were stuck too. Fortunately here I had a small angle pick to work between the hose and nipple. My original plugs had eroded to .058-.060, mostly the side arm. Center electrode looked good. Kept my old coils, they were all working and who knows if they'll be needed in the future.

Thank you so much. I received a quote from my mechanic of $730 to replace my spark plugs, coils and upper intake gaskets. Doing it myself I only had to spend $250 on the same parts. You gave me the confidence I could do it myself even though I’ve never done any auto repair work this extensive. Little things just like showing how to remove different fasteners and electrical connections would have driven me mad, but you showed how simple they are to remove when done the correct way.

This is by far the best automotive repair video I've seen on the internet. I can see that this step by step video including the reverse order could help anyone who would reluctantly take on this . Thank you for that. Not even half way though this video I subscribed. When there is a problem with my 2012 Grand Caravan, I search in your channel. Another very common problem with these vehicles is the oil cooler. I don't believe you have done a video on this. Would you consider taking your spark plug video further to that oil cooler. Thanks again!!

Thank you very much for the video. I just replaced my spark plugs for my grand caravan 2012 and followed your video step by step. Dealer quoted me $700 to replace the spark plugs. I saved a lot of $. Unfortunately, the front right and front left spark plugs had oil on the white part of the plug and inside the chambers. I will need to look into this further. I don't see any UA-cam videos for grand caravan that deals with this issue, but it will be great to make one that deals with oil on spark plugs.

  • @jediagh

    THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
I'm was not too confident I could do this as my skills stop at changing the oil. Shops around here (chicago) wanted $700 to $900 and money is very tight as I'm barely making ends meet right now.
Took me 6 hours and lots of stop and go back to see the steps you did but I managed to do it myself and it worked!
I also watched your other video on the Serpentine belt for the van and did that as well. 😊
Just one thing to note and maybe it's because of the cheap limited tools I have. I was NOT able to pull out the spark plugs with the socket like you did. The socket I had would untight them but I ended up using the boot to connect it back to the spark plug to pull it out.
I ended up replacing the boots as well so was not concern if they got damage. I ended up using a little bit of dielectric grease on the new boots as well just a small tab with a q-tip.
I did damage one of the locking clip connectors I was able to plug it back in and used electrical tape to hold it in place. The clip is loose but won't come out but figured some tape would help it stay in place just in case.

I am getting prepared mentally and with parts and tools to change out the oil filter assembly in my 2014 DGC and have watched many videos trying to get as much info as I can. I will be changing the plugs while in there so I wanted to watch that procedure as well. Thats how I found this video. This was by far the best I have seen so far. I can't see it getting any more clear than what you have done. I have to go a bit deeper and remove the lower manifold, drain the coolant change the oil replace the seals and I have a new thermostat to install (not sure about that yet). I am going to see if you have a video in the oil filter assembly change, but if you dont, please consider it. Many of us could use this. The upper manifold is the most intimidating to me due to all the connectors and yoy have covered this well. Feeling much better.

Great video, particularly the lighting! There are a few videos on this topic but yours is by far the clearest and a big part of that is the lighting. Please also do one on changing out the engine mounts for the 3.6 at some point, the other videos on this are terrible!

Thank you, we really appreciate that! Yes, we take a lot of time producing the videos, and indeed yes we do use (budget orientated!) studio lights on tripods to try and get that little extra clarity. Nice to see it is appreciated :-)

I needed to replace the thermostat on a 2011 VW Routan and as it is at 101,000 miles I decided to replace the original sparkplugs and coil packs at the same time. Another video showed me how to easily get at the thermostat and this video showed me how to do the sparkplugs, all in under 2 hours. The mechanic quoted me $980 for parts and labor. I spent $230 on the thermostat, sparkplugs, coil packs, intake gaskets and a sparkplug socket. And $8.00 to replace the 10mm socket that fell down somewhere.

Thank you I followed every step it was easy and my car works lol thank you again it was very useful. This was the first time I changed spark plugs so it took me 5 hours to change the rear brakes, the filters and the spark plugs the plugs probably took 4 hours for the first time

Awesome! That's what we like to hear. Thank you for the kind words, and glad to see you have saved yourself a lot of money in garage fees. Hopefully you also followed our guide for replacing the rear brakes ;-)

An excellent video. Perfect opportunity to replace the plugs, coils and clean the throttle body.
I shall do this. I have 220,000 kilometers on the originals and she's running perfectly. Needless to say well past the specs 😅
