This time last year I wrote the short piece of music that you head at the beginning of this video. I focused the video on talking about how to use chromatics in your solos, and emphasised that you should play chord tones on strong rhythmic beats. I want to take a moment to explore this music on a deeper level in hopes that you'll gain some insight into it :)

Awesome video as always Darryl , one question, do you play just with the bias fx 2 plugin? or beside do you use an aimp? or another thing like a kemper or ax fx ? i ask you that because the production of all the things that you play sounds really really well like if you used a kemper or a fractal ti is just bias fx 2 man is impresive it would be awesome if any time you make a video explain how you do it! i forget to mencion your fingers that the secret for sure

My ear knows which notes to look for, often before my brain does. But it’s interesting to understand how and why huh!

Sorry.. in Spanish means haha.. I mean the F# sounds like dominant.. not minor in the tune..
Ah yes, well you wouldn’t be wrong, but for simplicity sake I went with minor 🙂 You’ll see towards the end I do play through the maj3 of that chord, implying dominant, but generally minor or dominant will work ✌️
