Arguably the best looking groupset from the 90’s! I so desire to piece together the M560 set with black chainrings and black crank arms on a polished alloy frame. Nice score, dude.
Going to be sweet! Kool Stop does make replacement brake pad inserts if you want to keep those sweet LX pad holders. That black LX is underrated. Fantastic!
It's definitely an LX-gasm 🤣 just to let you know I am going to use that 😎. The bike will be absolutely awesome. I can not wait for it to come back from paint 👍
@BikeShedBoy 5 years ago a friend asked me if I would redo her son's BMX I let him pick the colours got him give me a hand, and today, his Grandmother sent a photo of him still using the bike I did for him. And it still looks good.
@Willdlans that's awesome mate and that's what it is all about I have done many bike over the years even before I started showing them on UA-cam and they are going strong and sometimes pass me in the street. Great feeling!
I do no think it trash how it is. I think it is good being the parts are there. Add wheel and tune up and ride type. Now being it has no wheels. The tear down and re lube everything. Since no wheels things can get janky.
It has wheels, my friend. Show them near the end of the video. Only said trash in terms of the condition of the frame as it has loads of rust spots and bad marks. Maybe the video doesn't show it that well. I am/was saving for a decent camera. My friend wants this bike to be mint. Hence, the back to metal, paint, decals, and full indepth service stripdown 👍
Man that frame is far from trash. You have to lower your standards. You building bikes for the royal family or what. Even the royal family wants to ride something ratty like the rest of us.
There is nothing wrong with Ratty Mate, and it's OK just to work with what you have. However, this frame left as it is will rust through and not live 30 years. Plus, it's so fulfilling returning a Retro bike to new condition. However, you got me with the royal family line 🤣 👍

Keep an eye out for the full frame build as the colour will make that groupset pop. It's definitely one of the best groupsets of the 90s 👍
I briefly had one of these back in the day with the same LX spec, fantastic bike and i bet they still ride well. Definitely a treasure.
I love the old LX stuff. It just works so well and easy to work with. The bike will look brand new once done. Keep an eye out for it 👍
@@BikeShedBoy Will do 👍
Lovely....well worth saving and wears it's patina well 😎
Cheers mate, unfortunately my friend wants a showroom finish on this so that's what it's going to get and is going to be absolutely epic 😎 👍

Wow, thanks for the info, mate. I'll definitely look into that. Would be nice to keep them 👍 should be a mint bike once done 😎
A P7 is definitely next for my basket of Oranges!
It's definitely one you need for your basket, mate 😉 👍
Threaded steerer, quill stem 👌👌gets my vote....
This bike will be epic once back from the paint mate. 🎨 👍
Looking forward to this one 😀
So am I and how the paint work turns out. The colour is amazing 😎
Rubber can be boiled in a pan of water to re fresh it , so could you boil those rubber brake pads ?
Not worth it dad for the cost of new ones, plus the new ones have a better soft compound and better breaking power 💪 😉
Lovely bike 😊
Thank you, Trixii 😊
Oof. LX-gasm 😅 That's gunna be sweeeeet

That's going to come magic.
It was nice to show this before it goes off for the paint, and 100% look forward to building once back from paint 🎨 👍 😎

@@Willdlans that's bloody great mate 👍
Just come back after the new video. Only to see what you said 👍
@GreenFingerHandyman cheers, mate.. much appreciated 😎
Nice bike I would just ride it. How's the shed going?
Save the bike now and will last the next 30 years and look amazing. Shed is going well. I will drop a video mid week with an update, mate 👍
