I've had steady racks for the last 4 years and while expensive, they are just fantastic and well worth the money. I bought the racks that handle fenders for my road\gravel bikes as they reduce the amount of slack around the wheel in the rack. I have 6 of them for my 6 bikes in my garage.
I've been using the Feedback Sports velo hinge for a few years now and the hooks are still holding up nicely. Helps me to hang four bikes on the wall of a very small basement room, while the other side of the room can still be used for shelves. The steady rack looks like a much nicer option, but I got four velo hinges for the price of one steady rack 🤷♂️
I use a steady rack for a surron with no battery, 100lb. Feels like I’m maxing it out but it works for a year now. getting a dirt bike swiveled onto the wall is great.
Nice video, you really showed a lot of options. However, I have a 12 foot ceiling in my shed so I use those original hooks that you had two for each bike, and just hang the bike upside down from the ceiling. Glad to see you’re back making videos though!
@davidhall2001 yea they are, they have a version you can use with fenders, I have 3 of them I use with my road/gravel bikes. Handle upto a 700x42 very easily
I will never spend 1/2 as much as the lowest price one of the hangers shown. I have a couple bikes in my storage rental place and you are not allowed to drill holes. Anything for that? Something that would not break the bank? Right now I found a clamp from harbor freight i put in a seam in the wall works but from time to time it comes loose and drops off the wall. Probably dew to the spot next door getting bumped but I don’t know for sure. Anyway good video I am going to check out the first video because I am definitely a DIY guy before I would spend $100 and up
Really appreciate this video! How about WHEEL storage? I have way too many wheels and storing them against the wall isn’t optimal. Wall storage options that allow me to rotate the wheel (tubeless goop) would be great. Just an idea! 😅😊
When I looked at hooks last year I found it pretty silly that it's hard to find something big enough for just a standard 2.4 mtb tire. I had to chope off some of the tip from one I bought because even though it looked fairly big and was marketed as being eligible for my needs, it just wasn't. How hard is it to just make a f'ing hook that will fit most bikes...
WARNING: Carbon frame top tubes are often extremely fragile to crushing forces so please don't place it in the jaws of any sort of work stand or storage clamp. Always use the seat post which is designed to handle those forces. Most metal bikes are fine. Cheers!
This video reminds me a lot of the old videos from Seth's bike Hacks
Ha! Is that good or bad?!

Good to hear! I’ve been using them for a couple months now and am very impressed with them!

I hear you… when you have multiple bikes, some of these options add up quick!
I have 6 bikes lined up on my garage wall with velo hinges - they are a great solution for us!
Classic Calvin edit! Great review video sir!
Thank you! This was a fun one to make and was great to get my hands on some awesome products!

Wow!! That’s pretty amazing that it can hold that!

That’s a great use of space with a ceiling that high. All of our bikes were hung that way as a kid
Good video production bro!
Great video. I’ve been eyeing the Steadyrack. I may have to grab one now with your code. Thanks!
Thank you! Definitely use that code if you decide to try them out!
you can not go wrong with the steady rack. I have 6 of them, well worth the money
Not compatible with bikes with fenders.
@@davidhall2001 why do you say that?

Great Video thank you! Unfortunately steady rack code doesn’t work anymore
Velocirax Tilt and Pivot: steadyrack but with the ability to space bikes out as needed. Superior IMO.
Steady rack is infinitely adjustable as each unit is independent. I would be interested in checking out that velocirax though
@TheShredShedMTB no I mean left to right....velocirax also swings but you are not stck to exactly where you screwed steady rack to the wall
@rezenclowd3 ahh I see. You mean after you’ve mounted it, you can still slide side to side?
@@TheShredShedMTB yup or at least move each wheel basket side to side on the base mount.
@@TheShredShedMTB Still interested in checking out the VelociRAX Tilt & Pivot Garage Rack? We would be happy to send one to you.

I like it! I built a tire rack before in order to store spare tires (in one of my old videos somewhere…) but never for wheel sets
Nice video!

What is your take on the " Bike Nook"?
Steadyrack Code doesn't work :(

^ Listen up OceanGate
Steady rack does not work with bikes with fenders.
It does… they have specific racks made for this 👍🏼
Please that music lower the volume.
@@sipapito what part?
Music was great!
Now the junk bin at the local Salvation army has been emptied.
lol why’s that?
Finally got around to ordering one- but your code doesn’t work anymore 😢 (Steadyrack)
