Finally someone riding a Surron through some hard terrain and seeing what are the limits and are they worth changing from an enduro moto ‘. Well done dude ….
Interesting build I have up graded my Sur-Ron and have all the old parts to make it happen. 19"Wheels, X-controller, stock 60volt battery. I know all the Sur-Ron's, Segway's are getting harder to find though.
For what it's worth...I found a good dual suspension frame, forks, etc. Bbshd,3spd igh,44t chainring, stock controller but programmed, 52v ...its shocking. Took awhile to get my setup right but damn. FYI no pedals. Give it a try.
What’s up Edwin! Really enjoying your videos. I have a Sur Ron and Live over in Bayview. It overheated pretty bad the last time I took it out. Now it’s way down on power. I’m trying to troubleshoot it with Luna right now. That ride looked a little brutal😂✌️🇺🇸
I would have been interested in a 19-17” setup. (Regular enduros are 21-19” anyway) that would give you extra gearing and the front might just be enough to get over stuff… Too bad there aren’t a ton of these in Europe :/
I just fell the tyres are just to Skinny on these my mate has tried many different tires and is finding it very hard to find a wide enough tired to grip to try and handle keep up with the motorbikes his tires get stuck in small ruts motorbikes just managed to get through
Can you elaborate on the overheating issue? How different is it from the Surron x? Did it cut off? Inspired from this video I was about to purchase the x160 and put 72v on it. But now I’m worried it won’t be able to handle it for too long.
The motor is the x160 is inferior for sure. But it can handle up to 8k. There are full motor breakdown and tear apart vids out there if anyone is wondering where I get the info.

6'2" 225#. There's lots of parts to make it more comfortable for taller riders. Kinda depends on what kind of riding also. I couldn't sit and ride this around on the street. Not comfortable for me. I ride trail and almost always standing and its perfect for that.
What are the chances of finding a used segway x160.... my budgets 2,500 ... I've already got a 72volt lipo and a decent controller I can put in it right away...
Did you keep the stock x160 battery? Or did you go to 60v? Looking to getting the Surron X controller, was wondering how it does with the stock x160 battery
Hard enduro riders are impressive and have tons of skill but i just don't see the fun of it. Trails with some obstacles are fun but if it's all low speed struggling, count me out.
@@EdwinOlding and you have to have the X controller for that, right? I just want a longer lasting battery for the x160. I am fine with the power it makes, though.

So true
That thing does surprisingly well
Yeah I was super surprised
1:30 that dog didn't want you there
Dang that thing looks fun on the trails 🤘
Good lock burning out a sur ron motor I have seen other channels use the stock motor on a 72v bac 4000 and 8000 and it takes it
How many minutes of riding can you get on a full charge riding like that?
That run was nuts! GS!
For what ever reason this didn't come up in my feed until I seen the post from the Grind Hard
Havent finished the vid yet but its already sweet!
Thanks!
Surron or Segway?
So is basically a zurrón in a Segway body?
Interesting build I have up graded my Sur-Ron and have all the old parts to make it happen. 19"Wheels, X-controller, stock 60volt battery. I know all the Sur-Ron's, Segway's are getting harder to find though.

For Enduro I go 30t chainring. When I ride with my boys I don't pass em, but I don't lose em!

I just bought one, when they overheat does the motor shut down on you for a little bit automatically? Or can you just melt the thing? LOL
I'm always interested in battery life, what was it like for this hard enduro session?
its bad like a mx tank half full
think its like 40-50miles on full from sur ron

great video, awesome trails, where can i find one of those?
Where is this
Dude awesome. I'm thinking about going to a sur ron from a fe 350. How do you find doing hard enduro shit without a clutch??
Hm. I thought you upgraded to 72v pack and aftermarket controller from Bac? Why downgrading back to stock?
I think u just get whats available cause these sell fast. I'm upgrading my x160 and parts are not that easy to get right now
I just fell the tyres are just to Skinny on these my mate has tried many different tires and is finding it very hard to find a wide enough tired to grip to try and handle keep up with the motorbikes his tires get stuck in small ruts motorbikes just managed to get through
Im trynna get a sur ron
Boxxbike Valkyrie is perfect for Enduro, 240 Nm torque, 14 Kw, and 37kg weight. Too bad the price is ridiculous
I am interested in upgrading to 19" wheels can you provide a link to front and rear rims n tires?

My brother did that. And runs 13kw
Is there any other upgrade you would do to it?
What a beautiful place to live
Yes!

bro what happened to the 160?
i was going to ask if it was waterproof and ive gathered it is😂

You can buy the sur ron motor from luna for around $650 but it's not always in stock.
I'll stick with my dirt bikes... definitely can't handle what I normally ride.
lit🔥
Next project would be cool to do a electric dirtbike swap into a regular dirtbike frame
It would be hard to make it not heavier and slower than the original bike though
@@jayaneyon9316go check out the YZ85 Sur Ronster built. Slower? Maybe. But fuck it. Way more useful and easier to own and maintain.

isnt it illegal to be riding up a creek? arent waterways protected?

Yo bro no hate ur treating your sur ron like a dirt bike it hurt me to the core
It is not even a Suron it is made by Segway
I wish I had terrain like this to ride :(
It is a blast
I need to know if 2 poeple can rid on a sue rob together
It's got a 100kg weight limit but maybe with other shocks

This makes no sense
I guess that means it’s water proof…
Yeah, I figure.
Thanks for the upload!
I've always wanted to ride through the bush without making +100dB. It's looking more and more feasible.
It is nice still getting to see wildlife while riding too
Compared to Ohio you guys have some really beautiful areas to ride. I’m tired of flat, vegetated, over grown, mosquito infest woods and muddy creeks.
Edwin I think you need to invent an uphill styled rampage event for the sur ron's👍
Really enjoyed the video man, it’s made me just wanna get back on something and roam the forest!
Nice two stroke Sherco. The Electronic shitbox you're on doesn't even come close.
