I've been up there once, loved it, however, the River levels have prevented us from returning and exploring it more. As soon as I saw the river, I figured you weren't going to be able to cross. (Damn...) Totally made the right decision, so many people get into trouble when they're not willing to change their plans based on the conditions. Great videography, it was a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing, Cheers. 😀
I absolutely love all this area. When I was in my fourties’, fifties and early sixties I would explore most of this area at every single opportunity. At the time I lived at Hornsby so it was reasonable easy. Now living Laurieton N.S.W. I so miss it.
Great video man. Pity about the water level, but it’s never worth gambling with the power of the river. Looks like a great ledge cross river to camp at, fingers crossed for next time 👍
Cheers mate. Yeah we managed to cross it next trip. Amazing what difference 5 or 6 weeks can make. All the waterfalls were dry and sandy banks along the river
I reflect everyone else’s comments about making the safe decision not to try to cross. We tend to think we have ‘failed’ when in reality you have succeeded as you are already in a stunning place 😊. Looking forward to seeing more of that area when you inevitably try again 😉.
Best to be safe and avoid the risk in those situations. The water around at the moment certainly makes things challenging and plans need to be flexible. The plus is that we have to carry less water with us, which is quite nice. Coming back up with a full pack must have been less than enjoyable, even without the ant bites.
I hate bull ants 🐜 Thankfully we did actually manage to cross this river easily over Xmas so looking forward to exploring more out that way as the water levels drop a bit.

Such a beautiful part of the world, I hope you manage to get back out there.
Thanks for watching 😊

It's definitely an area worth exploring and I'm hoping to do a lot more of it.
I bet Laurieton is beautiful also 😊

I spent an awesome Xmas day on the other side of the river 😃
