So..when your viking character sleeps, you will sometimes see this dream about a bear with no limbs or head, a mass of flesh, slumbering beneath the earth, this boss might be an early version of that...
Seems like the original intent would be to destroy the hive while it spawned swarms to attack you. So the boss and weak spots were static and had to be destroyed, but the challenge came from the unending mobs that would swarm and attack you as you tried to defeat it.
@Thedrizzle404 my thought too, there's one or two bosses like that in WoW, and they do provide a wildly different fight than a traditional boss. Imagine handling waves of seekers while trying to hit that weak spot when given the chance. Could be brutally difficult if solo.
What if they made it a sort of world event Like how in terraria the evil biomes can spread What if they make it something like that, but if you beat the hive the spread won't occur. If the hive exists for too long, like maybe 3 in game days, it'll burst and spread it's evil....stuff all about the land and spread whatever biome it's meant to be from
HAHAHAHA!!! The drake dropping the freeze gland at the end was priceless 🤣😂. I love these little secrets that are behind devcommands. There's actually other secrets hidden away behind devcommands and one of them being a FEMALE Dvergr Trophy....imagine...lmao
You can kind of see the current mistlands content leading to somethling like this. Dwarves locked up the queen. Would make sense if it was some sort of grotesque mass that was 1) easy to lock up and 2) further shackled in its prison. As it stands now it kinda doesnt make as much sense, unless maybe the queen was slowly breaking through the magic seal or something
Kind of reminds me of the evil beating heart under the giant oak tree in Witcher 3. I assume this static boss would probably work somewhat similarly, by spawning a bunch of smaller enemies constantly as you're trying to chop away at its weak spots.
they should make this as a hive but when you break it a swarm of bugs come out from seekers to broods, or a baby queen. or swamp masses to test your skill on mobs when you break a swamp an abom comes out that was holding druger and skels. They can make it a quest like the tombs, tower, and cave quest line.
Would love to see a similar type of boss but it being able to move just very slowly and you have to hit certain weak spots on it with a bow or something else to weaken it
@@NickRawcliffe Huh thats pretty cool I'd love to see this boss make a return in some other form in a different location just due to the vast difference to other bosses with only bonemass particularly coming close.

I think it's an interesting idea. I'm glad they tried it, but I can see why a moving boss would be more exciting
TRUE

I like the idea. It could be an awesome ocean biome boss, that's static in the water
Thanks a really interesting idea actually. Never considered that.
that's a great idea actually
man, that's brilliant. I see a Moder scenario where the Leviathan all have a mother and it's the ocean boss. could be so killer
It's an interesting idea to be sure. Maybe as a miniboss for the swamp, mistlands, or ocean it would be good
Mini boss is a great idea.
Swamp is plenty busy already though. Can't swing a dead cat in there without hitting an enemy

Ooh or a raid type event when you're out and about, like the "your are being hunted" one.
Maybe it could replace one of the leviathans on the map as a nasty surprise
Very interesting, Nick. I think static boss with some auras can be really good 👍
Thanks. Sounds interesting.

This could be really cool if they added a new Yggdrasil biome, with this being the boss!!
Ooo that sounds really cool

I mess around with a creative mod fairly often and saw this thing, glad you explained what it is lol

Thats freaking sweet! Great find man!

Interestingly enough this boss does slowly move sometimes.

i think it was supposed to be a boss for the mistlands ,becouse it feels like an ant nest
Interesting! Thanks for sharing Nick!
You’re welcome, thanks for watching.
Wow, hive never seen this boss before!
Nice. Pretty interesting right.
I just hope we get rideable fire dragons from the Ashland’s
Haha same
Looks neat but kind of yucky. Wonder if it can be used somehow as an interesting decoration. Do you recall if spawning it changed the music?
I remember when this guy only had a few hundred subscribers
Wow! I did not know about it, thanks!
You’re very welcome. Ty for watching.
Pretty Cool 😎
Glad you think so
