Lee get it together that plastic business risked the lives of their employees knowing they could be intimidated into staying and they died!!! Someone needs to be held accountable 11:35
I am not picking on your comment in particular but what do you want these people to do? We live in a microwave instant fix society and people want to place blame on someone for an act of God! Local news and weather were warning of the potential for major flooding days in advance and its a tragedy that people lost their lives ! Blaming people in the midst of devastation the likes that our communities have never seen isn’t the right response and divides us at a time we should come together!
"you don't call an emergency until you know there is one there ..." No, no .... that's not how it works. As someone who grew up on the gulf coast, you call an emergency if there's a 1% chance that an emergency might happen. You call an emergency the second you suspect you might need one. You do not wait. The longer you wait, the longer your people are going to suffer. It doesn't hurt anyone to call an emergency and not need it. But if you don't call one and then nobody has it and needs those resources? Logic much? I can't wait to not vote for him over this.
@@christinerussell1132 yet somehow North Carolina had the foresight and hurricane damage in Asheville is unheard of as well... Not to mention the Mr Lee somehow didn't know that there was a Hispanic speaking population in the place where he was going to give a speech? At best, his staff is incompetent and at worst he just didn't care. Either way, it's not easily forgettable as both show incompetence or unpreparedness from either him or his staff and I'm not okay with either. I knew nothing about this man before I moved here and what I have learned has not exactly impressed me much. I've seen something like this break. A governor firsthand multiple times. He's lucky Tennessee didn't get hit in a more populated area... Who knows, he might get away with it, time will tell.
I just hope the citizens are getting the help they need. My worry is they are not considering Lee's first go to is who he's with (elected officials) along with bridges. Humans first. I'm thinking about y'all and am worried about you. Just for note, Lee didn't put the presidential disaster declaration in until yesterday. NC did it much sooner which is why things are moving faster.
talk is cheep what are you doing for the people. there are people stranded up in the back woods that you dont know they are there. and they cant get out. need food and water.
Could not Imagine such a storm? How many times have scientists said the storms would be very bad, The climate is changing Bill Lee needs an imagination and some common sense. HVAC guys and farmers know this and are trying to adapt .You need bigger heat pumps, droughts and too much rain are increasing problems. But it is all a surprise for Bill Lee, he doesn't even know that businesses are employing a large number of non english speakers.
Climate changers!! That’s all we need if you people don’t like it here and the leadership we have then move to a blue state and see how slow they are at responding to natural disasters
Put people in hotels give them vouchers so they can stay in the jc and take a shower be there for us that would help the people out ❤GOS BLESS US ALL .3 MILES HERE BB ON 107 SIDE
Ask questions like... Are central sites stocked with bottled water and non-perishable food. Are aerial drops being done regularly to all remote locations? Are water/food distribution centers full? How is fuel being disseminated to remote sites for those using generators. Update on roads being opened. They need cleared to get lineman in.
I haven't seen the NC press conference but this was just a total disaster. Communication and response has been terrible. He's fumbling over his words and talking about how great everyone is. A waste of time.

Where has our town mayor been?? Where has the county mayor been?? As constituents we haven't heard nothing out of them.
I absolutely am not at all impressed with the Governor and the way he is trying his best to skirt blame for being unprepared. His excuse is disgusting

Don't let them mine your lithium out of kings mountain," thats why you all got flooded out," don't sell out
it’s been LOCAL folks stepping up and helping. Not NGO not TEMA, but neighbors across the tristate area helping neighbors.

Only Hope For Our Country Call on The Lord And Seek His Help 2 Chronicle,s King James Holly Bible Verse number 14
Amen! 🙏🙌
Can any of these people give a straight forward answer? I think NOT
Its really sad when this becomes apparent. These people don't do real work, they just have experience talking like politicians.
What a disaster of a press conference.
Joe Biden is going to nc ga and go but what about TN

Almost 60, greene county resident, Bill Lee has impressed me more than any previous Tn. Gov
Bridges and highway like really we should be focused on the people and not the roads and highways
If you’re waiting for help from the feds good luck.
Just be shocked The Gov came out of his bunker
🙏
And we're is are president
In a Democrat state if he's not on vacation...
Were dams prepared and open at initial onset
These people are so unqualified to do this job. I’m in western NC look at gov Coopers press conference. That’s how a presser should be done.
