@@jamescurran9002 Yes he was, as a power forward or #4, however you like. Could run like a deer, handled the ball well for his size, was a mobile, agile shot-blocker too. Unfortunately, he was not a true center nor could he pretend to be one when forced. Kareem made a living off of Jones (and Dawkins) in the postseason. If the Sixers could have picked up Moses after the 77-78 season and paired him with CJ and Doc in the front court …….wow! That would have been fun, especially as Moses and Caldwell were friends in real life as well. Most people don’t know that the trade for Malone almost didn’t happen, as Houston insisted on getting Jones with the trade and Moses wanted to play together with him in Philly.
Nice to hear Skip Carey from the WTBS broadcasts. Good times!
This is a rare one indeed, thanks
Dr. J stats: 30 pts., 10/10 FT, 5 blocks, 5 assists, 3 steals, 6 bounds 💜
That’s a stat line. Not bad for a plumber as JJ Reddic calls them
Sad the way drug abuse impacted the lives of Eddie Johnson and John Drew. Passed away too soon along with Danny Roundfield.
I fkn love Eddie Johnson
The Zink! 'ERRRRRving!' 76ers wasted Doc's prime NBA years by not having a center like Moses for him...
Caldwell Jones was a legend in the ABA. Especially when he was in San Diego.
As a matter of fact, i think they was both in St Louis for a while
