Aftet all, he is a throwback to the stereotypical "oriental" supervillain we seen in many movies of the 60's and 70's. The ransom/warning he sent to the world probably went along the lines of: "The fires of the underworld will engulf your cities, and the very earth shall shatter under your puny feet! Mwhahahaha!"

From what we know of the game, Shen Yu or Alexis finished a doomsday device but at some point their control fell apart, I just have to wonder which would be the most reasonable scenario as to who won with what Doomsday that could result in a scenario like that to be honest.

Of course van got his stuff from max and max was like "OK fine Ivan, you can have your little slice of the earth, just don't become to much trouble." So most likely Shin and the lady died leaving a gap in power struggling for world dom. So we have the 2 new faces and Ivan, now un happy to have lost him country is wanting to take something more! The world. But max now out of hiding is also back for the power, this time I suspect he will, win. But that's for the Player to chose.

@@nekogamer2508 no way in hell they would work together, one of the missions in the original involved subjugating all of the other super villains in evil genius one, the most troublesome of which gets vaporized. Ivan is also one of the most unstable of characters in the original line up of characters which is saying something when lined up against the other characters you could recruit.

Evil Genius 1 is very dark than Evil Genius 2... The 2nd ending was literally the end of the world and the second ending was a loss of gravity which would eventually lead people into space and not be able to breathe. At least the 1st ending just made everyone into workers. Evil Genius 2 was more lighthearted when it came to the endings imo.
