I remember playing these games when I was a kid on my parent's PC and not getting how they worked at all, I just liked the prison simulation aspect and the interesting visuals. I had forgotten about them honestly, thanks for reminding me of this part of my childhood! Keep it up!

I had it on my iPad. I was anywhere between 6 and 8 years old at the time. No clue what to do but i loved it.
When I played it as a kid, Whenever I beat up the cops, I always got their keys and getting reported and get my stuff taken. Never could beat the game

I've Rioted out of HMP Irongate in the PC version of the game, but still have yet to do the 50 Visitations Achievement. It's so cool to also see this game is still relevant and can get so many views! Good job on another platinum!

I adore The Escapists 2, it’s one of two games I enjoy speedrunning and I’ve considered getting and playing this one. I think it probably spurred my interest in criminal justice

I, personally, have set myself a challenge this year to only play games that were nominated for or won awards so that I can focus on playing good games instead of forcing myself to play easy, but mind-numbing, plats this year. So far, I'm doing good, having already completed Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and A Plague Tale Requiem (two games that were nominated for multiple awards at back-to-back Game Awards but didn't win any of their categories), and I'm currently playing Sea of Stars (won Best Indie Game at the most recent Game Awards and I highly recommend it so far, especially since it's in the Extra Game Catalogue).

i loved this game since i was 5. i still play it 5 years later.
Eventhough its very unlikely I hope sometime in the future there will be another the escapists game that is more like the first game then the sequel (I like both) and has a much higher focus set on being able to make custom prisons. Its an underappreciated aspect of these games and imagine if you had more freedom then they already gave you.
One of my favorite game series the menu music is still perfect to this day!

Im a complete escapists nerd after watching Jacksepticeye play it back in the day and I've platinumed it once. I've completed every prison in a week or less. Love the game

I managed to escape Jungle compound. Make sure not to drop fake wall block and fake fence cover or you’ll lose everything.

It's a good game but in Jungle Compound the grind is freaking insane. I couldn't finish the game but one day I will escape Alcatraz and HMP Irongate.

no its not.. I done it years ago.
Played this game everyday with my one friend who not only ditched our friend group. But legit every single person he had inside his phone after he got a girlfriend. He legit sent messages to every person in his Snapchat list saying he’s not friends with anyone anymore and for people to not text him. Hope the dude is doing alright but seeing escapists in 2024 brought back some good memories.

depends on the prison and on the area of the prison
@@itsstuddy could there be a difference between console and PC? I'm pretty sure that I had snipers shoot me in Center Perks and Stalag Flucht in the Steam Version
@@nintendogamer1926 when you cause a complete riot at centre perks theres no snipers, as all you have to do is run to the outside.. they only shoot at you in that prison if you cut the fence
