There was once a Doctor Who experience in London during David Tennant's era, before Matt Smith. I loved it. They had a room filled with weeping angel statues, and the lights were flickering. Somehow it caused the weeping angels to appear like they were moving closer and closer. They also had a Dalek which you could go inside, and speak into a microphone, and it would make your voice sound like a Dalek's. I really want to go to this one.
I've been there, and they have those and tons more things! Like there's also a room where you get surrounded and taken hostage by Daleks, you're on Starship UK, AND you're in the TARDIS. The place is phenomenal!
I know. He seems like one of the coolest guys ever. He just seems so relaxed and down to earth. He always looks a bit uncomfortable when he is the center of attention.
Moustachegirl92 well they're moving it. I get to go there for its final year! Fifth year in a row for me😊If you can get tickets I'd definitely recommend it!
Cookiehappy25 technically it was his jacket... since the doctor is the same guy but at the same time it's not since it- I give up, wibbly wobbly timey Whimy stuff 😝
Just returned from a trip to London with a day excursion to Cardiff. It's about 2.5 hours from London via ground transportation (car, bus, rail). It's a must see for anyone who is a fan of the Doctor Who series. The Doctor Who Experience is on the BBC studio grounds and begins with the Doctor Who interactive presentation allowing the guests a chance to be a companion of the Doctor. Once this ends, it opens into the exhibit hall where all of the historical sets, costumes are shown, I would also recommend a guided tour of the city of Cardiff since the entire city has served as the backdrop of the series since the days of Rose Tyler and the 9th Doctor.
Matt Smith was Unexpectedly my first doctor didn't even realise until I rewatched the series and saw vampires of venice and was like "Hmmm, seems familiar" And so Matt Smith was my first doctor and second favourite
He's not dead... the Doctor never dies, regenerates... We don't say R.I.P... we say goodbye to that face, to the personality... as we welcome the new one
Chelsea Octivia I believe the Doctor's incarnations stay alive, deep in his mind. I think the dream sequence in The Day of the Doctor was a flash-forward of Matt's regeneration, when he joins all of the other former Doctors.
I used to go every time there was a new doctor but now they have had to close it and move it and we don’t know if it is going to be somewhere else because the rent on the land was up. It was amazing when I went though.😭😭😭
I remember going to The Dr Who exhibition in Blackpool in the 1970's when Tom Baker was Dr Who. It's a shame it closed for good in 1984. The entrance to it was a Tardis.
Its great, i've been twice and they change it every couple of years. You get to walk through sets of the tardis and take part in a kind of mission. Plus they pretty much have every single monster in doctor who there.
Having this in Cardiff was incredible, having this on my doorstep was a dream come true. Deciding to close it and not immediately relocate or cut a deal for the land is a decision I'll never understand, as this attracted people from all over the world to visit Cardiff. Was good while it lasted though.
you're still my doctor matt i watch one of your episodes every night before bed cant get into capaldi at all im liking series 10 so far he might be able to convert me before he leaves
Also there 4 episodes set in the US so far (there may be more but those are the ones I remember) - one double episode in season 3 called Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks and one in season 7 called The Angels take Manhattan (all set in NY) and the first ep of s 6 called The Impossible Astronaut takes place in Utah.
Absolutely loved the Doctor Who Experience and had to go a second time to see the changes made with Peter. I could easily see this being brought over to an American theme park. Doesn't have to be Universal or Disney BTW.
I was there 2 years ago. It was so great, best museum ive ever seen. And espacially if you are german like me (in germany just a really, really few people watch DW) its so beautiful to be somewhere where everyone is a fan of it!
The thing is the show first aired in Germany in 1989 with the newest season which is also the last classic DW season. And when the new show came we still skipped the first two seasons of it at first
I'm so sad to see this place go as there shutting it down...I wish I would've gone but i am not rich. Hopefully this place comes back here in the US...
I've been there, and let me tell you, if you ever have the slightest chance of going, TAKE IT. This place is FANTASTIC. (Pun intended.) No Who fan would be disappointed.
When I went there I was really young but all I can remmeber is getting lost from my parents and being in a corridor with lots of daleks amd I thought I was going to be killed
I've never seen a point in robbing a museum. Until now.
once again I very very much agree with you
I`ll help you hehe
Ill get the flashlights and the bags!
Derpy Girl lets go
its a museum heist
Matt Smith was a bloody good Doctor
Millseh you are god-damn right
Millseh Yes
Millseh he was my first doctor I remember well
Millseh he was probably the weakest doctor tbh
Best. Doctor. Ever.

+TheMamsies I remember that! I went there when I was really young! There was also a room of Autons that moved if I remember correctly.
MATT SMITH
2010 - PRESENT
Ah, those were the days...
+DarthRushy
Smith was from 2010 - 2013, Peter Capaldi is from 2013 - present.
Hellwyck I know, I was being ironic.
Ironic in an "Alanis Morisette not-actually-ironic" way.
Hellwyck Can't a guy reminisce about the days Smith was the current Doctor?
DarthRushy
Yes but your post implied he was still cast when he isn't...
Actually your post reads as if Matt's dead and he's most definitely not.
Matt seems to be very uneasy about being the center of all the cameras and being treated higher than the rest of the visitors.
I know. He seems like one of the coolest guys ever. He just seems so relaxed and down to earth. He always looks a bit uncomfortable when he is the center of attention.
Louis-Philippe Harnois-Arel matt comea from my home town northampton no one here likes being the centre of attention
James Haggett Good to know.
Well thank god he wasn't the lead in a TV series!
ive never been here but my little whovian heart just exploded
my two whovian hearts just exploded
Rachel Gordon they're knocking it down :(
Moustachegirl92 well they're moving it. I get to go there for its final year! Fifth year in a row for me😊If you can get tickets I'd definitely recommend it!
Little Liza Lover
I think it's the 7th for me (I just went)
Little Liza Lover wait where is it moving to?
11 has the best theme.
Thomas Evans 11 is the best
Thomas Evans 11 has the best outfit
Thomas Evans it was too repetitive
Thomas Evans you are damn straight
Andromidian Traveller bowties are better than a normal tie
The 11th doctor wearing the 9th jacket.
And it looks freaking hot B-)
Cookiehappy25 technically it was his jacket... since the doctor is the same guy but at the same time it's not since it- I give up, wibbly wobbly timey Whimy stuff 😝
Ninth Doctor is my favorite
That's not 9th's jacket.
and saying 'fantastic'
no words for hoe dreadfully i miss Matt Smith. He will always be my doctor.
I'd hate to be the night guard at that place
King Drakon there isn’t any guards in Cardiff 😂
But you’d get to use a sonic screwdriver shaped torch
plot twist: its rory from 'the big bang'
True, a lot of Statues that are possibly weeping angels.
I would be that guy who patrols the halls in a cyber man costume or in a dalek
NO WEEPING ANGEL! YOURE NOT COMING OUT OF THE SCREEN TODAY! NO WAY! NOT EVER! lol

0:43 to 0:47 is missing. Why are there marks on my hand and I'm holding a marker? Hey, the lights gone off. Hey, the lights gone off...
Crystal Angel
I have no idea what you're talking about. Nothing happened between 0:43 and 0:47!
How extraordinary...
Wafflefive ah the sil- what was i saying?
Who turned out the lights? Was it one of you? Stop joking around I have DW to watch
Honestly if I was told someone would take me to the Doctor Who Experience I would cry tears of joy and hug em to death
He Said Fantastic
Also he wore the jacket similar to 9th's.
This place is bloody brilliant! loved every minute of my time there! :D
I wish I could visit Cardiff so I can check out the Doctor Who Experience. It looks like fun... or like you said, it's bloody brilliant.
Christopher, David and matt were the best
+Thepigcam I love all of them, and Capaldi might just be my favorite
I think Tom Baker, David Tennant, and Matt Smith are the best :)
Steven The Valeyard "capaldi is my favourite" get out
Thepigcam 12 is the best
Thepigcam 12 is the best
Seeing him there is making me smile from ear to ear. 12th went there to and surprised a lot of Who fans.
Matt will always be THE DOCTOR to me.
Matt Smith was
Unexpectedly my first doctor

TheElectricNacho I very very much agree with you
His Doctor aged gradually over centuries, so they can have Matt back as long as he stays alive.
Liam Hossenlopp It's not a touring event, it remains in Cardiff, Wales, UK
The 11th theme gives me chills. I love Matt.
Stephen Moffat was the perfect writer for Matt Smith. Miss them so much....
I used to go every time there was a new doctor but now they have had to close it and move it and we don’t know if it is going to be somewhere else because the rent on the land was up. It was amazing when I went though.😭😭😭
Matt Smith is my fav doctor not gonna lie

Absolutely loved the Doctor Who Experience and had to go a second time to see the changes made with Peter. I could easily see this being brought over to an American theme park. Doesn't have to be Universal or Disney BTW.

The thing is the show first aired in Germany in 1989 with the newest season which is also the last classic DW season. And when the new show came we still skipped the first two seasons of it at first

Im so devastated that they're knocking it down. Such a shame, i will have to go a second time before they do.
I want to go their but I’m far far away from this planet omg “I’m the Doctor” theme gosh I love it
There was also the episode that Rose touched the Dalek in the underground Museum. That was in Utah, also.
1:01 love how Matt just fixes his hair
This is near the BBC Roath Lock Studios where casualty and that are filmed
Matt Smith is the doctor
I need to go to Cardiff just for the sake of going to this museum.
Im going to see this for my birthday if we can find some way of getting there OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!
I've been there, and let me tell you, if you ever have the slightest chance of going, TAKE IT. This place is FANTASTIC. (Pun intended.) No Who fan would be disappointed.
Think I went there at this time. Remember Matt definitely being the doctor the twice I went.
WE NEED THIS TO RETURN!!!
I'm watching this but I just want to cry because I couldn't go there TT.TT
I bet playing the role at this point of time was so fun especially since it was basically a victory lap for Matt
Aww.. I want to go lol.
Can we have a permanent Doctor Who museum in London?
I know what I'm saving up for now.
When I went there I was really young but all I can remmeber is getting lost from my parents and being in a corridor with lots of daleks amd I thought I was going to be killed
