Thanks for taking the time to do your videos, I am a new Jet Ski enthusiast, and I am just getting started to make life more easy, especially when moving the skis around to trailers & dolly's. When I get it all done I'll let you know, thanks again, you did a good job explaining & you went nice and slow so we could follow everything.

You need a steel beam, 3 to 4 inch square tubing with no less than 3/16 wall, about 3/4 length of the jet ski, with gussets on each side of the lifting point you attach hoist to. Your lifting straps can hook on the ends of beam. Attach hooks on ends of beam or something that allows you to hook the straps to it.

You are right. They make a sling just for this, but they are expensive.

Those large wide straps that are used on flatbeds have a hooked end that fits perfectly under the hull lip of jet skis. I have been gathering them from the side of the interstate to sew together a sling to use as a lifting system for jet skis.

That sounds great, but what you are saying is I would have to alter them as you are doing in order to use them on jet skis?

@@papadonjetski9535 no the ends have hooks that you can hook on the sides of the ski super easy and this way your straps don’t get stuck under the hull when u set it on the trailer

@@papadonjetski9535 I found two more pieces of strap yesterday. The straps are far too long as they are made to secure loads on flatbed semi trailers, but you can readily find broken ones on the side of the interstate or on/off ramps. I found four on ramps. You need four hook ends. You also need a pole or bar to hook them to, that can support the weight of a jet ski. The hooks fit under the hull lip and easily lift a jet ski. The junkyard near me uses this system to move them with a forklift.

Thanks for testing this out with your skis. I just built mine but I went with a x and y axis setup and plan on moving my 110vx ski with it. Around 800lbs. I did the 6 bearing trolly wheels since I’ll be lifting more and my x axis has 3 tracks to dispute the weight a little more.

I so want to drop everything I'm' doing now and start on the boat, but I can't. I have got to finish some other projects so that I can get my garage cleaned out.
