Jonbon had it too easy last season. He’s being asked a question this season. Should help him imo. El Fabiolo was given tough assignments (passed with flying colours) last season and it helped him. Let’s see if Jonbon can show it in the Champion Chase.
Jonbon finished last season and went well going up in trip but could be found out against better opposition over further, would be a smart move to bring him back to 2m
My own view is that Jonbon lost last years Arkle because of the Jockey. To much use was made of the horse in the early part of the race. Instead of chasing the pace horse, who fell two out. The jockey should have tracked the winner and would have done Mullins horse for pace up the hill. NDB won't make that mistake in the Champion.
Yes mate I’ve been saying this!! Aidan Coleman was chasing a suicide that pace that and he kept pushing jonbon up to dysart dynamo whist el fab was cruising
Edwardstone was brilliant not that long ago, but he's finished now. Jonbon was only workmanlike , but that was more than sufficient. Edwardstone is burn't out and another performance like that should signal retirement. If he's finished, he's finished. Don't chase a dream that can't be achieved and destroy the horse altogether. Let him retire if this is his current line of form. I hate seeing capable horses embarrassing themselves.
No i couldnt agree there.ive followed the horse for few years now and love him but the way he stayed on there as alan said hes going on 10 .give the ryanair a shot i think he will stay no problem if he was totally disgracing himself your right but he just dosnt have the speed off them two
It's rare they actually stay the extra 5 furlongs. He's probably entitled to have a go but he looks finished to me. I've great respect for the horse. Maybe in the next 2 races we'll know for sure. I'd be surprised if he ever wins another race at the highest level. If he does. i'll be happy to be proved wrong. @@tomgallagher7870
I am not impressed at all Edwardstone is done really hes a grade two horse at best Jonbon will mopp up against theses but when the irish come over he be second best again
So much prize money is available for the Tingle Creek chase but only 4 runners. Sad to see really, top class horses are on the decline. Too much poor quality races and in-house gambling has ruined the sport.
Do we know if Willmount is more likely to go ballymore and then jeriko du reponet will be in the supreme? or both entered into supreme?
Well done, Jonbon.😊
Surely they have to go Ryanair with Jonbon he's a stayer
About as slow motion a finish as you'll see in a 2m Grade 1. Testament to Jonbon as he'll have hated that ground
What race were you watching 😂
It's rather steep uphill from 2f out.
@@johnristheanswer Tell that to s @sjackson ,Sandown on soft/heavy ground is as tough as you can get
@@paulconey252 I was telling him /her.

I agree ... Nico just lets Jonbon goes to its strengths .. I hope JP McManus can see that ... and book Nico for the ride ..
Interesting as Aiden O Brian is the usual jockey but at Cheltenham wouldn't Mark Walsh get the ride as he's the No 1 for Mcmanus?
