- Today, I had the chance to test the brand-new Duotone Unit SLS 5m again, this time in light wind conditions. I was really impressed with how well the wing performed in light wind. It feels incredibly light yet stiff, making it easy to pump. The wing turns smoothly and predictably, giving you great control over its position. This was only my second session with the Unit SLS, so I’m looking forward to spending more time with it to get a complete feel for its performance.
My Set: Duotone Unit SLS 5 m 2025, Foil, FOne JAM 1600 - P200, Mast HM 14 mm 80 cm, Board Naish Microchip 80 cm, Green Hat from @ẂakeTief :-)
Q: Is a relaunch with the Naish Microchip 5L board in open water & Duotone wing not a mission impossible? 👀😅 Nice vid!🎉

I usually stay close to the dock, so it’s not an issue. Worst case, I’d just have to swim for about 5 minutes, which hardly ever happens and I like to swim anyway.

Sehr nett 😮 Sag mal, ist der 14er Mast nicht zu weich für den Jam?
@@nikolauslemberski Danke. Gute Frage. Es ist schon bisschen flexibel, aber nicht sehr störend. Ich hatte einen Nolimitz V2. Er war dafür zu steif für den JAM und für höhere Geschwindigkeiten mit meinen anderen foils. Mit dem 14 mm hatte ich nie einen Spin gehabt. Mit dem NoLimitz öfters. Wegen der Geschwindigkeit. Top Mast, aber nicht Speed.
Habe gerade ein Rumor gehört, dass FOne einen steiferen und dünneren Mast bald rausbringen will. Aber wann und für wie teuer, weiß ich leider nicht.
