Ever since Maddon has been with the cubs, it feels like he understands the strategy of getting thrown out of games, more than actually being pissed off.
He really worked over his career at being more of a hothead in key spots. It's definitely not how he generally rolls but he knows there are moments he needs to do it and go hard at it. He's done a good job cultivating that ability.
As the video shows he got screwed a lot when he managed the Rays. MLB umpires games with a clear pecking order: Certain teams get favorable calls over certain other teams. It still clearly happens to Joe from time to time with the Cubs but definitely not as much.
Maddon is one of the best managers of the game. He does not go out just to argue. He is usually correct when he does argue with the umps. He knows the game well though.
@@springerdinger4920 Eh, it was a very close call, hard to tell in real-time. From his perspective he both could have been off the bag and ended up dropping the ball.
Poor Joe. I'd be pretty upset too if I knew the rules better than the guys who are supposed to be enforcing them on the field. I feel like Joe gets the call right more often than almost any other manager- and he gets tossed more for being right too
Don't you love it when umpires make up rules like lets go ahead and think of a bullshit reason to help the Reds. I have watched a lot of baseball and old baseball videos before and I have never heard of throwing to an unoccupied base before. I think the fix was in.
Joe Madden - he'll refuse to use the DH and wins, and the pitcher gets 2 hits. He will bat the pitcher in the 7 or 8 hole in the national league. He will not hesitate to send in a pinch hitter batting .108, down a run, with 2 outs, bases empty, in the bottom of the 9th, with the season on the line, and the guy goes yard. He will tell you that 9=8 and it comes true, as well. And for those of you say "he was coaching the Rays in the American league, with the designated hitter, so it's really 10=8", remember he refuses to use the DH sometimes. What a mad genius.
I know this doesn't happen very often, but can you compile a list of replays of any and all Astros from the past 10 years getting mad? And then can you counteract that with any and all Rangers from the past 10 years getting mad? You can call that the Lone Star Fury compilations.....
Lan-Ham I would like to see that too as a dipper myself. But sadly the game now has tried to get players not to do dip/chew as much on the field. Though I still do see players doing that on the field so not sure how much they enforce that rule.
Lan-Ham I honestly don’t think the MLB really enforces that rule too much. It is one of those ‘on paper’ rules that aren’t really followed. And I know umps don’t enforce it at all. Hell a good portion of the umps have dip/chaw in during the game too haha.
pjdiver3 That was bullshit. Every manager in baseball gets thrown out in that situation. They refused to look at replay and overturned the call without checking. It’s awful umpiring.
Joe gets a bonus for each ejection. He puts the mad in Maddon.
Maddon sees the game so well. Some managers get out there just to get the bench heated up. More often than not Maddon has a legit argument.
TechyMark and he could also pass has drew Carrie to me
You know it's a horrible call when even the pitcher just goes "Wow"
Ever since Maddon has been with the cubs, it feels like he understands the strategy of getting thrown out of games, more than actually being pissed off.
Maddon is such a chill dude. Shows you how awful umpires are in todays MLB. They make even calm men furious.
Couldn't agree morw
Same bro he is chill, it’s just he gets mad when the umps make a bad call
He really worked over his career at being more of a hothead in key spots. It's definitely not how he generally rolls but he knows there are moments he needs to do it and go hard at it. He's done a good job cultivating that ability.
Bob Davidson is everyone's drunk uncle at the bbq.
Joe Maddon was the Manager who finally ended the Chicago Cubs World Series Curse in 2016
Wow poor Joe! Maddon has gotten screwed a lot by the umpires! Didn’t realize just about every time he argues he’s right.
As the video shows he got screwed a lot when he managed the Rays. MLB umpires games with a clear pecking order: Certain teams get favorable calls over certain other teams. It still clearly happens to Joe from time to time with the Cubs but definitely not as much.
I knew a video was coming about Maddon, I see him in like, every other video you make, lmao
Davidson to Maddon: You don’t know bleep, you don’t know bleeping bleep, I know more bleeping bleep than you do!! 😂😂 No you don’t bob
Hated his Rays team against the Red Sox, but nothing but respect for him. Smart guy and entertaining.
The announcers when Joe steps out of the dugout:here we go again
Thing is…on most of these, Maddon’s anger was righteous.
Terry francona pissed off
The bob davidson ejection is one of the best. Bob was giving bad calls just to start shit.
Maddon is one of the best managers of the game. He does not go out just to argue. He is usually correct when he does argue with the umps. He knows the game well though.
Sheev Palpatine the first clip he was out though so he wasn’t correct..
YaBoiDOESsnipesYT could have been to get the team fired up or one of the rare times he missed one. Can’t be perfect all the time.😁
@@springerdinger4920 Eh, it was a very close call, hard to tell in real-time. From his perspective he both could have been off the bag and ended up dropping the ball.
You know it’s bad when Rizzo starts getting pissed, legit the nicest man ever and you got him to be mad. Horrible call
Rise of Avenge Ya Rizzo is such a respectable dude coming from a Cards fan but the ball was foul.
Parker Dollich It may be foul, but you can’t overturn that play without looking at replay. Every manager in baseball would lose their shit over that.
"He doesn't do this very often"-said announcer during an 18 minute video of him doing it often.
18 minutes over how many games?
Cody 19 min
5:25 Joe’s still his coach to this day.
2014 Hey coach when’s Rays practice.
Present Hey coach when’s Cubs practice
Terry Francona getting pissed...good luck with this one chief.
Man, after all those times he got absolutely crapped on, I'm just glad that Joe won a World Series...
4:00 I remember watching this one live. It was the first time I ever seen Maddon get that fired up
This is why we love Joe
Poor Joe. I'd be pretty upset too if I knew the rules better than the guys who are supposed to be enforcing them on the field. I feel like Joe gets the call right more often than almost any other manager- and he gets tossed more for being right too
My favorite of his was when you could read his lips tell the ump “you’re fucking wrong”.
Ah was waiting for this. I knew it’d be a long video too :)
Joe "Mad"don
Tommy lasorda getting pissed, not a dodger fan, but I always admired Tommy.
It was only a matter of time, go Cubs
notice how every time joe argues, he’s right except for the rizzo foul ball against pittsburgh
Fitz Fantasy and that one wasn’t about them making the wrong call, it’s that they overturned it with no review
How about “balkin” Bob Davidson getting pissed off?
Do umpires getting pissed off 😤
Don't you love it when umpires make up rules like lets go ahead and think of a bullshit reason to help the Reds. I have watched a lot of baseball and old baseball videos before and I have never heard of throwing to an unoccupied base before. I think the fix was in.
“Joe Maddon getting Pissed off”
“Ah shit, here we go again.”
Whenever Maddon gets pissed an umpire gets his wings... I mean day ruined
Thank you wesleyyy
He has every reason to be pissed in these clips. Man these umpires are horrible.
The don of Mad
I was at that cubs dodgers nlcs game. The whole crowd chanted BULLSHIT!
I’m so happy Joe is our skipper . Go Cubs.. W.. Northside
Keep up the good work man and love the outro songs big metalhead too man and can you do some more nfl videos
Can you do balks that end close games
Can you do fans vs players, please?
I forgot that Carl Crawford was on the Rays lol. It’s been a while
The Rays are the only team that he was actually good on, tbh.
Pridewinner He won a World Series and is the winningest manager in the past 100 years of Cubs baseball. He’s been great with the Cubs.
@@krinnphindalin6803 They're talking about Crawford...
Maddon is right most of the time and that's why umpires are going to be gone at some point
I knew this was going to be a long one. 🤣
Probably already done but a Santa Maria compilation
6:35 his last name is literally bal four
Joe Madden - he'll refuse to use the DH and wins, and the pitcher gets 2 hits.

Can you do check swings going far?
loved it when maddon threw the umps out !
"I don't know if Tony Soprano's in the dugout, I didn't see him in there" - Joe Maddon
I miss Maddon with the Rays.
I was at the game where he argued the strike call to ross
Can you do walk off errors?
Look up the Auburn and LSU game that was a crazy walk off error
Are you gonna do a Steve Kerr video soon? Because that would be a great video
I know this doesn't happen very often, but can you compile a list of replays of any and all Astros from the past 10 years getting mad? And then can you counteract that with any and all Rangers from the past 10 years getting mad?
You can call that the Lone Star Fury compilations.....
Thank god I’m not a Cubs fan or Rays fan. But this is hilarious
Best of Joe West
Your videos are the best
Go Cubs goooooo
Ump, I’ve come to bargain
Do players who pack the biggest lips during games
Lan-Ham I would like to see that too as a dipper myself. But sadly the game now has tried to get players not to do dip/chew as much on the field. Though I still do see players doing that on the field so not sure how much they enforce that rule.
Sheev Palpatine Jose Abreu plays with half a can of hagen in his lip still haha
Lan-Ham I honestly don’t think the MLB really enforces that rule too much. It is one of those ‘on paper’ rules that aren’t really followed. And I know umps don’t enforce it at all. Hell a good portion of the umps have dip/chaw in during the game too haha.
YOU KNEW IT!!!
Bryant/Rizzo getting pissed
Nick Regalado That’ll be a 30 second video
Sums up his career with Tampa Bay
Wesley Apex >> Made The Cut!!
7:47 Joe rung up that one Dodgers game pretty succinctly if you read his lips. That was fucked up.
You should do A.j hinch getting ejected
This one might be hard to do but can you or have you done Kevin Cash getting pissed off.
10:25, kicked out on the first batter of the first inning. Hahahaha
pjdiver3 That was bullshit. Every manager in baseball gets thrown out in that situation. They refused to look at replay and overturned the call without checking. It’s awful umpiring.

Barry Bonds literally walking to first base via intentional walk compilation
2:44 "I want to get ejected"
