@@kenc5199 u are correct, but i have seen sum bmw’s that have been manual swapped and they still have paddle shifters on the wheel because it was previously auto.
I love my n55 335i 2011, my favorite care to drive. Handling is equal to that of an exotic or race with simple upgrade. stage 2 mods 500hp. It really is a love hate relationship. They are very fine tuned machines, one small change in the system can be a big headache. ADVICE for new owners, the more love you show it, the better. tune ups, reg service and if you are going to mod find a rep shop that knows what they are doing. otherwise stay away because it will cost a pretty penny to fix ignored problems. n55 335i buyer check points, fuel pump trans under backseat, waterpump if 2012 and earlier, hpfp, lpfp, vanos val, recalls done, turbo health, service record!!! no service record runnnnnn.
I agree, car is great, as long as you keep up w maintenance and replace the easy failure points you have a great car that will be reliable for a long time and super fun.
@@dablackbimmer Well, I let my best friend test drive my S5 he fell in love so much that he went and bought one and he said that his S5 would eat my Beamer for lunch, a few weeks later he challenged my BMW and he learned really fast that he made a mistake, I'm running with Vargas turbos and e85 fuel pump, straight downpipes with an MHD Stage 2 along several upgrades..
@@MrCoyoles45 Haha you showed him for real. Right now, I only have a straight downpipe, chargepipe, and short shifter. Hopefully, I will be getting MHD stage 1 until I can pick up an intercooler for stage 2.
@@dablackbimmer I have all of those things you listed installed except for the 6 speed manual transmission which is hard to find but you can turn your beamer into a monster, it took me like 4 years to accomplish but its worth it.

Yes, this is my daily. Traffic is not bad at all since the clutch is very light and the biting point is clear, not to mention tons of low-end torque so I don't need to give any gas when starting up, just let the clutch to the bite point, hold for 2 seconds, let off and go. I would say that daily drivability comes from the weight of the clutch. if its really heavy, then it'll be tough but if the clutch is light then you can manage.

I can't see what RPM your shifting at, but I'm shifting around 2100 to 2300 RPM. I'm trying to improve my skills and your video helped a lot
@@EvoOfBigAks I appreciate the feedback, 1st to 2nd in this car is really unforgiving too and oftentimes I have a rough shift but it’s all good cause the car can take it. I used to shift at 2k rpm exactly but now I take it up to 3k till i reach the speed limit, then I just stop accelerating and throw it into high gear.

@@AbletonLiveTechs a little here and there, mostly organized events like cars and coffee that won’t be busted by the cops. I’ve been to lower wacker a couple times but those are a little far from me. Streets of woodfield usually has good meets on sundays in the mornings

Yes, it handles pretty well stock. There is a bit of body roll but I solved most of that using KW V1 coilovers.

The trick is to exchange the last half inch of gas with the first half inch of clutch when you shift from 1-2 at the lower revs.

When in sixth gear going about 75mph what’s your revs like?
Mm I’d say around 2.3-2.5k? At 87.5 mph I’m at 3k exactly so 75 should be a little bit less.
