I never figured Niall for a fruity drink fan. Now, the way to have a Singapore Sling is to have them at the Long Bar in Singapore. Just to be completely a tourist.
I don't know if it's true for the readymade stuff but in a handcrafted blue Hawaiian the blue color comes from blue curacao, a blue biter sweat orange liqueur.
Blue curacao isn't naturally blue, though; it comes out of the distillery kettle as a colorless liquid, and they add blue food coloring to it. So the ready-made cocktail mix probably has the same colorant in it as the liqueur does, if they're not actually using caracao to start with.
On a cruise I took over a year ago, they had pina coladas mixed with strawberry daiquiris. They were my mid morning drink on the cruise. Why yes I did have the unlimited alcohol package.

I was twelve the first time I saw this drink in HI. it was served to a lady at the table next to us and it was a BIG drink! it was like a small fishbowl size drink. She did it justice and drank most of it. I heard her in the bathroom a couple of hours later and I felt so sorry for her. lol she could hear that others were in the bathroom and basically told the whole bathroom to "blerg" never order the blue Hawaiian "bleh ugg" as it was too much to handle "blerg"
Very glad i found this video. I had gotten one of these gift boxes for Christmas last year and i saved it for new years each of those gets mixed with different alcohols Singapore sling gets gin. The appletini gets vodka i believe. When i challenged myself to drink these all in 1 night i left the sling to last because i hate gin. I must not have mixed them right because everyone of them were really strong and i think i made it almost 100% of the way through but i couldn't finish the sling. I drank them all too slow because I'm not a big drinker and i was still buzzed but not hammered

I ordered a Rusty Nail 10 yrs ago at a restaurant that claimed to have a full bar, and was told later the bartender had to look up the recipe. So I've made it my mission to order "lesser known" cocktails now and see if the bartender can make it or if they even have the liqueurs/liquor stocked.
