Worked a Charm bought a second hand unit from a breakers yard split it as shown in the video and put in the second hand one bang the miles was back to normal. This time UA-cam video actually worked , thanks alot 👍 man .

Can't thank you enough. Ford wanted to charge me for a whole new unit and reprogramming. Bought one on Bay for £35 and fixed the lcd myself in minutes.
Hey I want to say thank you for the video I just did it and works awesome and it only took me 10 minutes to do it and the Speedo was only $35 on eBay you saved me so much $$$ thanks again
Brilliant. Ford quoted over £700 to replace a speedo unit with a defective LCD display, after seeing this video I bought a used unit and swapped out the LCD for £20! It took about 35 mins and was very easy. Ford should be ashamed. Thank you.
@lucianbrighi Yes, you are just changing a 'dumb' LCD display panel, its not coded and retains no data, so engine management systems are not affected. However the speedo pod is coded and will affect car systems, that's why you change just the faulty LCD screen.
@@gja5353 Just changed only the lcd display in no time. All good now. But i think the fuel tongue got stuck at no fuel at all and then touched it a bit and plugged in to see if its working and all working. Maybe by mistake i touched the fuel tongue or however is called

You did not have to program it? Only if the instrument cluster is replaced it has to be programed?

Great! my 15 has just gone.........got the whole unit for £25 and fixed the lcd in 20 mins, brilliant thanks!!
By changing only the lcd and put the old ins cluster back i dont have to program it?

Hi Ian have a 2015 fiesta 1.5d that needs speedometer if I picked one up will it have to be keyed in or Will be straight swap over many thanks
no it wont work without coding hence the advantage of swapping just the lcd
