LeToya Luckett just did an interview about how she knew Beyoncé was destined for success and how she would stand behind all the girls in the booth to help them and encourage them. This video literally proves everything she said.
mani nash I'm sorry but you're wrong you are talking about Latavia and she said by a family member she was not related to Matthew..Beyonce and Letoya met in class and yes she and Latavia still get royalties from the group
Tony Drayton this may be a dumb question. But I've been listening to bridges for the longest trying to see if I was right. But when Toya's in the booth singing, is she doing the opera type note?
i love that Beyonce was serious and focused, well she still is, but is realllly bonus in that age know what you want and be one hundred percent serious and ready. her parent did a great job, to show and teach her to lead success life. i wish have same luck in parents
It's definitely a bonus and, in her case, confirmation that not everyone needs to necessarily focus on education in the more traditional ways. To clarify: If one KNOWS what they want to do and willing to commit, then don't worry as much about everything else.
what do you expect when the other girls don't have as much craft to focus on, stupid. You pose the statement as if they were on level playing field and they weren't, dumb ass.
Fast forward eighteen years later Beyonce said in an interview that whenever she's in the studio she's a serious woman if anyone wants to goof around then she'll kick them out hence at fourteen she was like that from the start
why people acting like Beyoncé was completely stoic in this video, she's literally dying laughing at LeToya at 2:05-2:12. And she's also very animated playful when helping her out in the studio. Yes she was more serious and focused than the others but she could be silly as well. Plus these girls were always around each other 24/7 for years by the time of this footage, when you are around someone nonstop for that long you get use to them being crazy and you're not gonna find every silly thing they say or do to be hysterical all of the time. This video was literally a less than 2 minute window into their lives back then, you can't conclude that Bee never had fun based on this footage.
WOW! I had no idea Dwayne Wiggins worked with OG DC...i feel like they never mentioned him in interviews and Wycleff was always credited as their first collaborator
LeToya Luckett was laying down that soprano at 1:40; she is so underrated! LeToya held up the top and Latavia held down the bottom vocally. Their talents should have been better utilized within the group. I recall reading an article years ago stating that all four girls were equally matched in vocal capability. I was always skeptical about that statement until I heard LeToya's solo albums and Latavia sing at a night club; now I believe there is a lot of truth there.
They were never equal vocal abilities lol. What articles ? LFMAO. Latavia was originally a rapper and had to learn how to sing and re-auditionned for the final line-up. She has always been only comfortable in singing the bottom notes
did anybody else hear beyonce mock latavia at 0:34-0:39 with the same voice. Latavia: Hi!! Beyonce: Why!! bey low key tried to hide it but I heard it. lol 😂😂
Bey is not uptight, she just has serious work ethic. her "seriousness" has gained her 300 million with 18 hit singles. i think you can decide who came out better.
it must have been so cool to be there in the very beginnings...where faith was at work...before beyonce became this world wide icon...such a fascinating group...why wasn't a movie done yet?
Its just crazy how this woman is the reason why i listen to music and her first time recording a record with destiny child . Started in Oakland. Im from Oakland.
WTH, they were already recording their first album back in '95? Some of them would've been 13-14 here. I always wondered why they sounded much younger vocally compared to No, No, No Part II and With Me, this explains it.
@@childishgambino4845 That's irrelevant to my comment context wise. The 1998 debut album being recorded in 1995 is what's peculiar, not so much their career. Every stupid media source claims the first album was recorded in 1997-1998, but that's clearly not true with some of these 1995 clips with Dwayne Wiggins.
look at Beyonce she was so humble and pretty back then ans she still is today.... she always knew she would be the star and did not have to try to be out front... loving me some Beyonce ....then and now....
no matter who would have managed her "she would have been the one that shined... and she did not even try to shine she just did even when they did not put her in the middle she got everyone's attention... it is not her fault that she was it.....
@@averyjenkins2786 they weren’t dropped. Wiggins label was Grassroots Entertainment. If you look at their first & second albums the Grassroots label imprint is on both. The contract was likely for 2 albums and/or they mutually parted ways. Destiny’s Child was only dropped from 1 label which was Elektra Records when they were working with Darryl Simmons in Atlanta as “The Dolls”. This video was from their time in California after they were dropped from Elektra.

Letoya so full of life refreshing to see her enjoying herself and enjoying the group
I can actually see that Beyonce was so proud of Letoya. she was in the booth like I told yall she got this. . .love my Letoya

mani nash I'm sorry but you're wrong you are talking about Latavia and she said by a family member she was not related to Matthew..Beyonce and Letoya met in class and yes she and Latavia still get royalties from the group
+mani nash yes she did
+mani nash first off all that not so learn your face

Hard work pays off these ladies earned it thank you for making amazing songs and albums
Even then Beyonce was more serious about her craft in the studio
I was gettin ready to comment the same thing... Lol it's clear!
what do you expect when the other girls don't have as much craft to focus on, stupid. You pose the statement as if they were on level playing field and they weren't, dumb ass.
Say it agaaaaaaaiiiiiin.

This is the Destiny's Child I loved :-) They will always have a special place in my heart.
Even as a minor Beyoncé was still very humble and focused.
