Lol that’s because this was Girls Tyme not Destiny child. When the group was still managed by Andretta Tilman and the other guy. Tina wasn’t making the clothes at this time and Mathew wasn’t the manager. Once the group lost star search Mathew took over and basically dropped half the group and then came the birth of Destiny child and addition of Letoya. Group was remolded Latavia was no longer the rapper but had to sing and the aesthetic changed.

Yep,I raised my three children in a middle class suburban environment. Every single evening or weekend event the schools had was packed out with parents and extended family. If a parent is actually working a job during school event times,understood.Otherwise,bad parenting if people are in town and don't support their children's activities because of their own personal agenda.

I myself used to belt out a Whitney Houston song when I was little and also dance a lot almost like a breakdance type, but growing up I was told to "keep it down" because "iT dOEsn'T LoOk gOoD fOR mY iMAgE". Eventually I shut up and gave up on that dream. Now I'm 26 and I still have that love for singing I literally studied music on my own (especially vocal techniques) and I also dance freestyle for cardio (mainly waacking and contemporary dances but I also took time to learn other styles like hiphop). What's lacking is the CONFIDENCE. My confidence literally fade away because people around never supported my passion.
I never again showed any of my skills in public, even to my friends. One of them literally said "I feel like you are talented but you're just not showing it" out of the blue. And that literally brought me back to where I should've been today if only I have supportive family growing up.
P.S.: I also used to train like Beyonce for 2 months like I literally jog every morning and on places where there are no joggers, I'd literally sing while running. Then I remember performing "Deja Vu" by Beyonce in my room (it's soundproof lol) while literally dancing. All this just to satisfy my inner desire.

Okay so before there was destiny child as we currently know it. There was a kid girl group called “Girls Tyme” that wS managed my a woman named Andretta Tillman. In this lineup there was Beyonce, A girl named Tamar thats also Prince’s prodigy and in Madea, Latavia, and two other girl dancers that were Latavia cousins (by their striking similarity in appearance im assuming there twins). After the girls lost star search the direction of the group headed towards Mathew ship and he began to exert his management. Tamar and latavia cousins were no longer in the group (i dont know the exact reason why tbh). And then afterwards, you Have letoya join the group. They became all sort of names before they settled with destiny’s child. They then got signed to electra but were unfortunately dropped but luckily they won with Sony in ‘97. At this point, unfortunately Ms. Tillman has passed away and they even dedicated a song to her on the Writings on the Wall! And now you have Sir Mathew the girl group King taking full charge of Destiny’s Child in terms of management. Then the four young women had some issues with each other and management and now letoya and Latavia are replaced with Farrah and Michelle. Farrah also had issues with management and Michelle, Kelly and Beyonce ended up being the face and “Survivors” of the lineup shitshow that is destiny child. Overall, Beyonce and Kelly were the only two constants in the group.
