Vielen dank, Anja! Das war sehr hilfreich. Sie sind am besten! Tried writing this (mostly) without Google translate. Hopefully I didn't butcher the conjugation of "sein". I think there's a market for German language apps that taught by default only "Siezen", allowing the user to go on to "Duzen" when the USER decides. Tschuss. 😎
I absolutely agree. I am a teacher myself and I can honestly say that Anja is the best. She is professional, clear, concise, and full of enthusiasm which I know is a real motivator in class.
Anja, Ich verstehe dich!!! 😭🙌🏾 I have a test next week and you are making everything sooo smooth to understand. A cup of coffee and your videos are going to my new favorite!
Anja, I've been using Rosetta Stone for months. I haven't learned a thing. You kick ass girl! I've learned more in two days of watching your videos. You rank amongst the best teachers I've ever had and I have 16+ years of education. That's a lot of teachers.
Unless people put cigars out on your neck while you are using it, it can't be as bad as Babbel. I have to come to YT to get information for free that is absent in *what I am paying for* I will finish Babbel, as bad as it is, but highly discourage anyone from paying for 1/50th what is on YT for free.
It became a routine after my regular German class.....I come back home, switch on your channel in order to get things straight and have everything understood. THANK YOU!!!!! ( and also my classmates, we live in Iran!!!)
Your lessons are really excellent! You make it very easy to get these concepts - not all teachers can do that. Thank you so much for your clarity! And wonderful personality too!
I'm really loving your classes Anja, your bubbly personality makes everything fun while keeping it very clear and enjoyable. I'm totally sticking to your videos now, and believe me, I've been trying to learn german since like 10 years ago and always give up 3 weeks into it. But now I think it's different now that I found you. Here are my sentences: Ich liebe dich Ich hasse sie Ich kenne euch nicht
Ich verstehe dich und mag, wie du sprichst! Excellent video Anja, thanks for the great lesson and your amazing energy. It is very helpful and makes learning much easier. All the best!
Ania ich verstehe dich Kannst du mir verstehen Ich kenne dich Ich kenne ihn Hörst du mich Ja, ich höre dich Ania du bist eine beste lehrerin Ich verstehe dich veile wörter Vielen Danke
Sherry Ning Ich glaube dir (dativ) or if you want to emphasize "believing with taste of the trust", the verb glauben takes preposition an and in such a case, you can also say; ich glaube an dich
Thanks a lot, I understood easily. I go to Deutsch class and couldn't understand there well. I found you today and after this I don't have any tension if I don't understand in class, I have now a 2nd teacher as well. Long live.
Fraiba Yaqoubie verstehen = to understand, and verstehst is the 2nd person singular form, but you want to use the 1st person singular form: verstehe. Ich verstehe dich. Rather than: Ich verstehst dich. however, you could use it like this: verstehst du mich? = do you understand me? possible reply: Ja, ich verstehe dich (just replace "dich " with Sie or euch if you are addressing 1 or more people using Sie, or if you just want to be polite use Sie rather than dich. if you are addressing 2 or more people you can use - euch rather than - dich, but it is informal.
Anja, ich bin so glücklich that I found your channel. I've just started learning deutsch and I can already tell you'll help me a lot! Ich verstehe dich sehr gut und liebe deinen Kanal. Dankeschön!
Jayaram Anandha Bhavan Balasubramanian she is a female, therefore she is: eine gute Lehrerin. this is because: ein guter Lehrer, is for a male teacher. aside from that I agree with Gordana
+Chris Saggau Sorry, but you are *_wrong_* on this topic. _Lehrer_ only refers to the profession and not a specific sex / gender, especially in this case. I assume you are German speaker. Therefore I suggest you to inform you better about Gender in the German language at the following website: _Belles Lettres .eu_ [remove the blanks from this link] Look out for *_Substantiv, Adjektiv, Pronomen_* and these two topics *_Das grammatische Geschlecht_* and *_Der Führerin entgegen!_* After that you really understand how the genus in German works!
Zeitungsgift there is nothing wrong with saying Lehrerin for the word teacher related to the profession. especially, when you are referring specifically to a female teacher, not a male teacher. aside from that German has a gender for all nouns. they don't always relate literally to the actual gender of the person or entity. but as far as being a teacher you can either be a Lehrer or a Lehrerin. perhaps it is a bit old fashioned by modern Germans to use gender specific words to identify a professional as either male or female. however the majority of, if not all professions in German have a masculine & feminine form. but due to American influences over German oftentimes you will see no gender like in English. such as the generic English word: Teacher. used for all people who teach regardless of whether they are a woman or man. which seems exactly how you are using it, or applying it in German as well. additionally the term: actor is widely used in modern society as a form of showing equality between the genders. (not sure when females wanted to be males and no longer took pride in being a professional female. actress/ actor one rare example of genders being exhibited in a tile for a profession in English.) adjective after the noun to modify it is unusual for both German and English languages. it is more common place in French and Spanish and other romance languages. but that is a separate issue entirely.
+Chris Saggau First of all, the genus *_never_* refers to a sex / gender in german. (Please read, watch what I suggest in my other posting.) The are not correlated, because they have a totally different function in german. To say _Lehrerin_ is the same as saying _weiblicher Lehrer._ _Ich finde dich als weiblicher Lehrer gut._ Doesn't sound that a little bit sexist? Or would you say to a male teacher: _Ich finde dich als männlicher Lehrer gut._ Would you? If that is what you want to express, go for it. To me in a modern society the specific gender shouldnt matter when you are an excellent teacher. Therefore it oddly to say what her gender is, when we have a perfect neutral term for the profession; and we all have already assumed the gender, don't we.
