Occupations under the Fast-Tracked ‘Straight to Residence’ pathway:
Eligible migrants employed in these occupations can come to New Zealand on a work visa from 4 July and apply for residence from September 2022. Minimum salary requirements apply where specified, and these will be indexed to the median wage and change over time.
Construction Project Manager, Project Builder, Quantity Surveyor, Surveyor, Chemical Engineer, Civil Engineering Technician, Civil Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineering Technician, Electronic Engineering Technician, Environmental Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Materials Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Production or Plant Engineer, Structural Engineer, Engineering Professionals (Not Elsewhere Classified), Telecommunications Engineers, Telecommunications Network Engineers, General Practitioner, Anaesthetist, Psychiatrist, Specialist Physicians Not Elsewhere Classified Surgeons (Including General Surgeons, Cardiothoracic Surgeon Neurosurgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon Otorhinolaryngologist Urologist and Vascular Surgeon), Other Medical Practitioners (Including Dermatologist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Ophthalmologist Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist and Radiation Oncologist), Resident Medical Officer, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Psychologists & Psychologists, Physicist (Medical), Orthoptist, Veterinarian, Other Spatial Scientist, Environmental Research Scientist, Food Technologist, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Managers ($120,000), Software Engineer ($120,000), ICT Security Specialist ($120,000), and Multimedia Specialists ($95,000).
The Work to Residence pathway:
Eligible migrants in these occupations can apply for residence after two years.
Anaesthetic Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Imaging Technologist, Medical Radiation Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Sonographer, Podiatrist, Audiologist, All Registered Nurses (including but not limited to Aged Care), Midwife, Teachers - Secondary with specialisations and registered Early Childhood Education, Automotive Electrician, Diesel Motor Mechanic (including Heavy Vehicle Inspector), Electrician (General) -registered, Plumber - registered, and Dairy Farm Managers.
Migrants paid at least twice the median wage in other roles can also apply for residence after two years.

For SRP they require letter from Engg NZ which is supposed to be given followed by KA01, KA02 assessment which is a length process i guess. In your opinion, what is best pls?

Its good for highly skilled professionals. I have a query that i have been offered a job by an accredited employer as a general worker in construction industry. Where the wage i have been offered is below the median wage and there is no requirement of any skill. Most likely the company has already completed the job check and hasn't found anyone in NZ to do the job as nobody wants to that job. Am i likey to get the work visa under AEWV category. If everything is genuine which it is in my case. Bcs of some personal connections i have got this opportunity.

Can I apply at 56?
I am afraid, No. To be eligible for the Skilled Residence: Green List Straight to Residence category, the principal applicant must be aged 55 or younger at the time the residence application is made.
The new Acredited Employer visa requirements are ridiculously pretentious. New Zealand is struggling way too hard right now to find workers but they've decided to tighten their immigration policies even more. 120k is a super high end salary in NZ (we're talking almost 60 NZD an hour). I'm on an Essentials Skills visa (got it last month), started working in an IT company in February and asking for a raise to 120.000 just to meet the criteria would have been almost embarrasing because I'm just starting in this company and had already signed a contract some months ago. Anyways, it's just a shame Labour's Government has decided to go this route where they can't even manage to get nurses into the country and they're asking for NASA level engineers pretty much, just a shame.

I am greatly elated stumbling on this video. I tried migrating to Australia through the skills migration pathway via Visa 489 state sponsorship. I was sponsored by the state of Tasmania for the now abolished 489. I paid my visa fees in March 2019 and had my medicals later that year. But covid came and till now, we are in a limbo offshore.
Now, i want to migrate to New Zealand which is actually my first and Paramount choice. I initially planned to retire in New Zealand at the age of 65, reason I pursed Australian PR vigorously.
I am a civil engineer with 8+ experience. I got a positive skills assessment from Engineers Australia in 2018.
How can I get a job in New Zealand that willsponsor me via this newly launched Straight to Residency pathway? Do I send my CV for review as you ask others to do?
