I don't fully remember what that bathroom area looked like as a whole, but could you just make the bathroom bigger by tearing out a wall or something, so a bigger one of those baths would fit??
If you did change the stair location to the loft, you could build a mini cat home in the space underneath.
Looking forward to seeing the place come together. I know you did a house tour when looking at it and stuff, but it'd be cool to see some before/after still shots also.
A splurge is one thing, but it sounded more like it would have to be a ridiculously expensive custom made one. Something to consider is that as the room itself is smaller, a custom smaller bath might not look as nice as the ones in the photos. I would try looking through catalogues and showcase rooms of bathrooms the size you have there, there could be something really nice, ready to buy, that you haven't thought of yet. I would consider splurging on one of the nicer ready-to-buy bathrooms you find that way.

I really love it when you show yourself (and by extension all the vloggers in your friend group) speaking Japanese conversationally and not just brief greetings to servers because it shows us your everyday social interaction to the people around you and not just how it relates to your audience when you're speaking English to us.

About the treadmill, it's probably because the belt is dry. You need to apply some lubricant below. I used to work on gyms. You can use liquid vaseline , but try to search for the manufacturer options

For the glasses donations, you can also donate at the Optical counter in Costco. I used to work there and Costco sends them out for use in 3rd world countries. When we couldn't ship them during Covid we had a member come in and bring all of the donations to Lions Club!

For Maru being cold, I would suggest these oval shaped open beds if you can find one. They have high walls but are open, however because of the high walls cats can curl up inside and regulate their body heat :) I have a cat who has issues regulating her body temperature so I have lots of little things around for her, including those beds and also just blankets sitting in sunny spots, as well as chill mats to put under said blankets in the summer time.

omg i watched this video back when it first released but since then i've moved to japan (tokyo). a few days ago, i was walking in my neighborhood when i saw that cafe and thought it looked really familar! because it was shorakuen! i live really close to it. it looks really good but a little expensive so i think i'll go on a special occasion with my friends.

I’ve been wanting to get one of those under the desk treadmills, just wasn’t sure how easy it would be to work while walking 😂 I’m a graphic designer so sometimes I need a very steady hand, but for the rest of my work I feel like it’d be great!
Hello Sharla. The squishy sound of the treadmill is due to the dry surface underneath. You will need some silicone oil for treadmills in order to keep it functional and prevent any damage. 😊
I’m still addicted to Pokémon go. The reason I started watching your channel all the way back in 2018 was because I was coming to Japan for a Pokémon Go event in Yokosuka. It was amazing.

Got my first pair of glasses in forever off glassesusa and omg I've never gotten so many compliments on anything I've ever worn like this. The online try on was super accurate. Love love love the quality of the lenses. Got the super thin glass n it looked so much less bulky than they did when I was a kid haha

I got a desk treadmill about 6 months ago and I LOVE it! One way I make sure I'm actually using it is I put a little sticker on my calendar as a visual reminder of the last time I did it, which keeps me motivated to keep it up!
