Hi there, I work for Lush and hope you enjoyed using the products. The colour supplements were actually created so you could mix with moisturiser which would minimise the heavy feeling you were mentioning. We also have more limited edition make up at selected stores which are fabulous and I hope you have the opportunity to try them. x
and i was just thinking that she put on way too much "concealer" like you dont need that much to look pretty, then you can put on a translucent powder and it will do all the rest, lush really is the cacophony of "a little goes a long way" in my opinion. like sometimes i will visit the store and i will want to try out a product, and some of the reps will put on a butt load of the stuff like liberally, which i dont mind haha its a good place to get some stuff to help your skin so i cant complain, but when i like the product and get it myself i use it sparingly because i dont need a lot to get a good result. so just a mere mention here, when it comes to lush products, you dont need a lot to get the results from a lot of the products that you get from the store, because they kind of just do their own thing for your skin in my opinion. a little REALLY does go a long way with lush products.
If she read the directions it should’ve said to mix with moisturizer however I feel like since there isn’t really much pigment in them too begin with you’d be getting less than a B.B. cream out of it
It bothers me so much when bigger UA-cam gurus test lush make up, but they don't have any idea how to apply it or understand what the point of it is. (especially the color tint) if you go into lush and talk to them, its not supposed to be a high coverage foundation like all of them want. Its light coverage, either by itself or with a moisturizer. They only look at the negatives because its not what they "normally have" when they go to sephora or whatever. Its okay to not like it, but they should understand that its not supposed to be what they expect it to be.
The skin supplements are to be mixed with moisturizer! They're not foundation and they won't give you full or medium coverage, it's more of a BB cream finish! As for the liner, all of the make-up in those bottles (lipstick, eyeshadows, liners) can be used on eachother so that's why it's the same formula, hence being 'whipped' as you couldn't use a liquid eyeliner on your lips or eyes (as a blendable shadow) Source: I worked for Lush for two years and have been a Lushie for much longer!
Madi Brown if you noticed though she always has foundation that is about a shade or so darker than her natural skin tone. So to herself she prefers a darker complexion than a light complexion. I don't mean to argue, just pointing out her "usual", but I agree she looks just fine in the video
I prefer my foundation to be exact skin color and lighter concealer but to each there own.. when summer comes and I get tan though my foundations will for sure be too light.
She said the colors are way too off so she was the one who picked those colors and gave a bad review for it instead of actually getting regular colors and basic and actually try to do everything right. I bet if they were paying her she would've done a better job
@dora @babyy girl if she would have done a little bit of effort and showed she is a beautyARTIST she could make that eyeliner work good as hell. A bright pink lip with green eyeshadow also looks like sh*t, but not seperated. what's the point??? lush has more colors to combine but laura chose to make it look like a 4 year old drag
Bram Van Laethem girl she is testing the products she isn’t trying to make a whole makeup looks she is testing EACH PRODUCT and they suck! the foundation she said was okay, she never said anything about it god why the fuck are people so hard on her what the fuck
Keilah Cobb because she used the products wrong, barely giving them a chance. The "foundation" is meant to be used with a moisturiser not on it's own. Like damn it's not hard
Heather Ferguson That might very well be true, but it's hard to tell either way since she did such a shitty job on the review. You have to admit that she tries much harder to make products work in her other videos. She didn't even attempt to apply some of the products correctly. Part of her complaints where about the colors that she picked herself. I know it can be hard to pick colors online, but she lives in LA so you know there's a store somewhere. This is your job! Stop being lazy and go get matched in the store! Lastly, I thought it was strange when she said she disliked the pink lippy even though it is quite similar in color to a JStar one she said she liked just a little while ago. Sorry about the novel 🤓
I know lush makeup isnt the best but 1. The foundation looks fine 2. I liked the pink powder 3. If you know that bright blue liner and baby pink lips arent your style than why buy them to review... like if youre trying to see if lush is good get the regular colors that probably wouldve been better 4. It looked like you didnt really try sorry
the foundation looks fine but she said it was thick and it definitely was too light. she said the powder helped but it made her look SUPER pink and that's apparent in the video but that comes down to a personal preference so if it works for you, great. And like she stated, she wasn't trying to create a look that looked good. The purpose was to test quality and the quality was lacking no matter what she looked like so yeah she did test the product and she said she wasn't looking for a glamourous look so... pay better attention?
lmao i didnt even realize i had watched this when im clicking on it 6 months later.. the foundation still looks fine def a little bit light. the powder DID make her look pink. now i still get that it isnt her style but i would still try regular looks tbh. im more skilled in the makeup department now than i was 6 months ago so yeah i see where i went wrong here
also i feel like she was going in with a bad mood here.. and it doesnt seem to be just me that thinks this however this video is from april so it doesnt really matter
I don't know why people are so angry about your honest opinion 💀 did they want you to lie and say u loved it just so they could be happy? Lmao you're not forcing anybody to not buy these products! makeup is different for everybody a lot of people won't like something & a lot of people will like it & either way it's not the end of the world. I love you Laura lee! You make my days 😭💘
When she puts on other eyeliner she goes a lot slower and actually tries on this she just uses it like a paint brush she doesn't give anything a chance
I like lush products I never had a issue with them being clumpy or weird. It's like you already had a opinion of them before you started and picked unflattering colors for yourself. I don't know . I like them.
Honestly, if she didn't apply the eyeliner like a 5 year old and at least tried to match the lip color to the rest it would look really nice. Not to mention she should have asked an employee to help her get a foundation that matched her skin tone.
I am a Lush employee and avid UA-cam subscriber- good, honest first impressions! Since these products are all Vegan, it's hard to get pigments that fit particular skintones. If a person likes natural five-minute makeup, these products can be great! But for someone who wants full-beat, maybe not! I recommend to my customers to use their own brush when it comes to liners, and most of the colors are versatile enough to use on all areas of the face. We don't claim that anything is waterproof, long-lasting, etc. and I am transparent with my customers about it. If someone is looking for a waterproof mascara or liquid lip that lasts 20 hours, I let them know these aren't it. Thanks Laura!
She just seems to be in a bad mood before she even applied the first product (after the intro) I feel as though that may have affected the way she felt towards the products....
Lush has a gold liquid liner and it looks like LIQUID GOLD! It's long lasting, and you can use it as an eyeshadow. When you tap it in, it doesn't disappear. Love you Laura :)
Laura Lee, holy moly girl.. I hope you realize how vegan and organic these products are... Its not like your everyday regular makeup.. its like going to whole foods for your drug store makeup.. Its for a natural organic vegan type of girl.. And Lushs skin care is EVERYTHING. I am a huge lover of their skin care, soaps, masks..and so on.. It seemed you already had your mind made up on hating their version of makeup...
Fanny Santos she wasn't honest she half assed the review and had an obvious bias opinion. She went into this review not liking lush and made that known. This was not a professional review like she made it out to be.
then they should say so, but on the website the directions say to treat it as a foundation for full coverage or to add it with a moisturizer for a tint
x8Sophie actually it says mix for a tinted moisturizer or use alone for more coverage. It does not say full coverage and is not intended for full coverage.
Felt like you never really gave the products a fair chance, this review felt really rushed, barely put any mascara on, im confused as to why you wouldn't at least try and pull the look together, and better yet, why you didn't choose products that would create a nice look, I mean girl, bright blue eyeliner with orange lipstick? Come on
She put on like, five layers of mascara, how many are you supposed to put on for it to work?! In no way was she bias. I think she gave an honest review and everybody that’s mad is probably just a butthurt lush fan.
If you read more on the colour supplement you would have seen that you're supposed to mix it with a moisturiser and use it that way... can't give it a proper review if it isn't used correctly.
I love Laura, but she seemed very negative in this video and biased. lush is a great brand and I've only tried a couple of their makeup products but they were actually good. if you want people to like and trust your reviews, make sure they don't have a negative/biased tone to them.
Don't see why everyone is complaining about how Laura didn't put "any" effort into the make up look, like she mentioned in the video it wasn't suppose to be a complete make up look she was just trying them out, I've heard awful things about Lush make up so if you don't like what you see then click off, it's not hard🤷🏻♀️ Laura you slayyy gurllll😍🔥
Chlo B Exactly! I tried their makeup and wasn't a fan. I could find cheaper cruelty free makeup that performs better. But their bath bombs are the bomb! 😀 love the facial mask too.
Beauty Horder exactly! I know Lush is more on the expensive side of products anyway but their make up line is way to over priced for the quality of the products, it's pathetic! Yes I agree lmao their bath bombs are literally the best! I haven't tried their facial mask? Will have to get one!
True! I tried the oatmeal one and loved it. If you bring like 5 or 7 (I forgot the exact number) empty containers you get a free mask. Also ask for free samples of different mask! The only downside is the mask expire within a couple of weeks. So, I never purchase more than one at a time with my free sample of another.
am I the only person that is like. huh. imagine waking up one day and you have a notification saying you won a mac book air from LAURA FRIGGING LEEEEEEEEE!!!! 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
While I agree with you in that the product looks great, I think her comments are more based on how they feel going on her face - like with the foundation she said it felt really heavy. That can be a deal breaker for some people who are interested in the product. Also keep in mind that what she sees in the mirror is different than what we see on camera (ie textures).
Courtney C Vlogs I would say that you're right but she didn't use/apply the products correctly in the slightest. The "foundation" is supposed to be mixed with their moisturizers in order to give it a lighter, more comfortable feel. Therefore, it would give coverage and a finish similar to a BB cream, not a full coverage foundation. It just feels as though she is purposefully trying to make these products look bad.
first of all GIRL. the colour supplement is a tinted moisturizer intended to be mixed with one of lush's moisturizers not as an all over base. second of all Lush is all about the natural look and not caked on.. its not Anastasia Beverly hills... thats not really its intention.
"i'm starting to look like a clown" girl you bought blue eyeliner and orange lipstick and expected not to look like one lmaooooo first video of hers and i'm so turned off by her attitude
Yeah, but it was still going to look bad. Bright blue eyeliner, orange lipstick and bronze eyeshadow? Maybe if she had substituted the blue eyeliner for black and the orange lipstick for a red, pink or nude, there would have been less of a reason for her to complain. She was still setting herself up for it to look bad from the beginning. (not hating, just saying)
Chey Mac their products do cost a lot, all of the products she used could add up to $250. Maybe she’s being hard on these products cus Lush overprices their stuff like crazy. I’d be upset too.
I hope this doesn't turn off people from ever getting lush products. Lush is more known for their skin care and bath bombs. I have sensitive, oily/dry, skin. I also break out and this is the only brand that has kept everything of mine under control. Their bath bombs are beautiful and soothing. Yes their makeup looks aweful but please give this brand a chance with other things because that's where their excel. Not to mention their cruelty free and vegan :)
J. Sprague go to their website and educate yourself on parabens. Not all are bad. One study done back in the day falsely gave the idea that they were which isn't true. Seriously, lush does their research. They explain why they use them in full on their website and why they actually aren't harmful. Plz go look into it before spreading misinformation.
Not every product works for everyone. Clearly, she isn't a big fan of it and that's her honest opinion. Idk why everyone is freaking out. I've tried products that people swear by and nope, didn't work for me. What I got out of this was that the applicators are on the small side. If I were to ever try this line of make up, I would use my own tools.
Totally agree! I've tried the Hourglass Vanishing Foundation Stick and it's the worsttttttt on my skin. I hated it so much, but I know a lot of people swear by it.
Dianne Flores I think people are mad because it wasn't a good review. You have to admit that she tries much harder to make products work in her other videos. She didn't even attempt to apply some of the products correctly, like the "foundation." And that liner application.... Oh sweet baby Jesus!
I agree, she went in with a bias and you can see that. She applied it roughly and with other eyeliners she takes her time but with lush eyeliners she used it as if she was using it as if she was applying it with a paintbrush. She was skeptical with with every product and went in with with a bad attitude towards all of the lush products
❤️ EXACTLY. Can't wait for this year round 24/7 fake tan can't leave the house without ma bronzer glow on trend goes away and people stop thinking fair skin is awful or pastey or ghostlike, I love a tan too, but like.... you know... In the SUMMER. 😅👌🏻 #EmbraceTheGhost
Some products work better for others, but if you watched the video you clearly saw that those products are AWFUL. At least she's being honest with her viewers.
it has nothing to do with PR. lush seems more geared towards "natural" girls and beauty gurus gravitate towards full coverage makeup -- thats what theyre comparing it to it seems
most vids i've seen on lush make up are diff than other brands they get sent. like for the liner, i would have applied it with my own eyeliner brush to make it look better. gurus try to like things they're sent because these are the ppl paying for their trips.
I actually like their mascara. It wont give you crazy volume or length, but it does coat the lashes nicely. It's a great everyday mascara if you don't need drama, and since I started using it my lashes have grown and become thicker!
Mine isn't watery so maybe you needed to shake it? Idk. It's definitely not a crazy dramatic mascara but does work well if you want something subtle. It's more of a lash treatment than a mascara. I did get results with lashes growing and thickening after using it for a couple weeks! :)
this is a really bias video. she expects the products to be bad before before she puts them on and she doesn't really make an effort with application so that she can fulfil the bias she's created
Honestly , your video had a negative vibe to it . You didn't even try . You were just so negative about everything . We get it you didn't like it , I thought the eyeliner was pretty & that you just put it on all over your eyelashes of course you're not gonna like it . You exaggerarted a lot .
Edith Aguilar I agree she says when she does her Eyeliner she absolutely has to pull her eyes taught (and she did not do so in this video) so I just feel like she didn't put an effort into it at all
This is the worst I've ever seen her attempt to apply eyeliner. she didn't even try. It just looked like swiping at random. girl I love you but I'm very convinced you didn't try on that.
Love how often you post! Sorry to hear about the drama on Snapchat last night. Just know that the haters are far outnumbered by those of us that love and appreciate all your hard work!
The snaps I just saw said there was something happening but I think the ones that actually explained what happened already disappeared. Can you fill us in?
Some girl on twitter was claiming that Laura & the whole gang shaded her sister when she asked to take a picture with them...but Laura actually took a picture with the girl. The girl ranted about not supporting them any more since they let fame get to their heads. Essentially just some girl wanting attention trying to bring down hardworking youtubers.
I've yet to see anyone review this make up line and like it which is sad because the fact that it's all natural is a huge selling point for people who have severe allergies or need gluten free makeup like myself and can't readily find it! Thank you for such a wonderful review! 👍🏻👍🏻
sheree Smith I got the colour supplement and really liked it, you're meant to mix it with moisturiser though and its more like a bb cream/tinted moisturiser/light-medium coverage. When I'm going for a natural look or every day I really like it, but not if I go out and want full coverage. My sister loves the mascara, I bought one of the lip colours and liked the colour but it didn't last :( The lip scrubs are amazing though! my fave lip scrubs ever
sheree Smith It might work well for you! it didn't work for Laura. maybe it'll work for you! I've heard of people who are head over heels for this brand's makeup. so you never know!
You seemed very negative from the beginning. Lushes products a little goes a long way. And your foundation wasn't even that off. You just seemed like biased from the beginning and your videos aren't usually like that
Ashley completely agree, kinda pissed actually since iv tried these products ( correctly using them) and loved them . she just smacked the products on her face like they are going to be the same as every other product. they aren't the same and that's the point! like damn iv seen 5 year old girls put more effort when using kid makeup than she did with these products. like I lover her videos but it seems like someone pissed in her tea before she did this first impression .
❤️ LOL, I know, it's like youtubers all go into it hating on Lush makeup. The BEST Lush beauty product is actually the one she did not even buy. It's called "Feeling Younger", and is an amazing natural looking highlighter, it's my HOLY GRAIL and I hope they never stop making it! It's AMAZING. 👏🏼
I think one thing you could have acknowledged is that it's $19 for the cream shadows because it is organic & cruelty free. That's why it's more expensive. You're paying for handmade cosmetics. That's a hard thing to do.
like i don't think she realizes that it's made BY LUSH!!!! lush makes their products light and not heavy or to cover up your skin COMPLETELY! like the foundation it's for a more natural look not over powering. !!!!!NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE IM JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE BECAUSE I WAS THINKING IT THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO!!!!!
Other UA-camrs have tested Lush makeup and thought it was crap, too. It doesn't matter if Laura read directions, applied it better, or farted rainbows during this video. Crap makeup is crap. Lush needs to go back to the drawing board.
Olia Than i think thats the case with alot of all natural brands. Their skin care is amazing but make up is crap. I LOVE beauty counter skin care. It is amazing but there make while they have beautiful colors they are super shear. Which is super sad since there skin care and other products are to die for!
I don't understand why most of the comments here are people pissed off that she didn't try and that this video is uninteresting and what not, there's a lot of people that have done the whole using lush products first impressions/try on videos and most of them have not liked the products and here she is showing her video on her experience and you're pissed off at her? If you watch beauty gurus you know most of them say makeup is personal, it's different in everyone and not everything works for everyone, but me, personally seeing how many people have tried these products and SEEING the way they apply and what they do I know they're not up to my standards therefore I won't buy, if you're that undignified that she didn't "try" why don't you go spend 15-20 dollars on the eye liner and eye shadows and try them yourselves? I get wanting organic and cruelty free products but there's so many makeup lines now a days that are cruelty free and even vegan for 3 times less expensive than Lush's.
Get yourself educated on this brand before you trash it. LUSH makeup is not supposed to be your average cake faced makeup you see on Instagram. It's meant to be more subtle and enhance. The brighter the colors, the harder the formula is(I find the black eyeliner easier than the blue). You didnt pick out good colors for yourself. If you are chosing bright blue eyeliner and very light pink gloss when you're on the tanner side, what do you expect? Maybe if you vkose flattering colors, took the time to put effort into it, and didnt apply so roughly, maybe it would have worked for you. Don't forget these are ORGANIC producs so it's tougher and they're still finding their way to succeed. You can obviously tell she didn't try hard enough to make the products work and she said at the beginning she didn't know much about LUSH. Again, this isn't your average face cake makeup.
I don't think u gave the makeup a fair chance bad attitude from the beginning and you didn't take your time like you do with other makeup especially with the lips.
Not a good review! You can't throw shade at a product, for doing what it says 😐 it is supposed to be natural, you suck at applying eyeliner, and you picked terrible products to go together in one look! I don't mean to hate, I don't normally do this, but you can't throw out a terrible review for product that are not bad! This was not a fair review at all!
Lush should probably stick to bath bombs and all that stuff. Leave the make up to the make up people. You should definitely do a blue eyeliner look. Maybe not with that eyeliner.
The reason people buy Lush’s makeup is because its vegan, handmade, cruelty-free & organic. I can’t think of many other brands like this. If you wanna be sticking poison on your face go ahead, but don’t diss Lush just because it’s not up to your standards. By the way, this video is a really poor example of how the products are meant to be used. Don’t knock it till you try it.
Listen, fam, lush has NATURAL products. They aren't going to have a lot of coverage, especially compared to your $50 foundation that probably has really bad ingredients. Lush never claimed for full coverage. Lush is making these all natural products for the people who don't want to put some random crap on. It's your fault that you got the wrong shade, not theirs. You should have gone into a store. Sorry it smells weird, but I don't know how. It's natural. These are meant to be very simple and not very noticeable, so the fact that it's not full coverage and not the most pigmented isn't their fault. It's expensive because the ingredients are good for your skin. Please at least put effort and don't bash them for doing good. Lmao I've been noticing so much negativity from not high end products. I'm hoping that this goes away and you stop this.
Nicole Cheyenne I’ve never understood the reason why tinted moisturizers exist. Foundation is used to cover up flaws like dark spots and such... moisturizers are used, to well, moisturize your skin. Either you want to cover up your facial flaws or you don’t. If tinted moisturizers are so sheer and barely even show up, what’s the point of marketing it as tinted?
Oh girl tinted moisturizers are amazing for those of us that just want to blur any imperfections in the face. On the flip side, I don’t understand full coverage foundation. Why would you want to feel like you’re wearing a mask all day? These youtubers all wear full coverage and they don’t need full coverage , they need a tinted moisturizer to be completely honest. What are they camouflaging??
That mascara had me shaking my head. That wand is crazy short, even if it actually worked as an actual mascara no way would I buy it. Only thing I would consider is the eye shadow and even that's kinda pricey I would rather spend money on the Stila pigments
I guess the taupe one. It's just idk if it's worth 20 bucks. The stila magnificent metals or something like that have been raved about and I swatches them and they looked pretty I think I would rather splurge on that.
The lush fan girls are definitely out in full swing! I bought the mascara years ago and it was horrible, so i agree there. The foundation i thought looked really good on Laura... And i loved the color of that orangey lip gloss. I would totally buy that one. That said, the other makeup i have personally tried from Lush i didnt care for either. They do however rock the fuck out of bath products. Im a Lushie from way back, (deep sleep jelly, fox in the flowers bomb, the Soft touch, original Hot milk, original base soaps, etc) yeah long time ago. So been i to them for many many years, just not a huge fan of their makeup i have tried. I do want that orange lippy tho....
Honestly you can review the products without completely being rude and bashing them. Like idk it's enough to just say "I don't like the product, this is how it feels etc." But I think it was unnecessary to say things like "I feel gross" and basically calling the product crap. Lush prides themselves in their ingredients and especially when you commented on the price, that was just kind of arrogant. There's very few organic, cruelty-free products out there and I am not saying I'm a saint like I use other products that aren't cruelty-free, but obviously if there was some amazing brand that made every type of cosmetic and had it figured out how to do it all cruelty-free I think we would all be using it. So the products aren't perfect, there's flaws, but again has anyone completely figured out all of the organic, cruelty-free formulas? No. So you can give us an idea of the product formulas and just generally if they're effective without being rude and completely slamming them. I mean come on, it's just disrespectful to publicly bash a brand when you know millions of people could potentially see this video.
Are you in the comments when she disses other products? Or do you only care cause it’s Lush? Im sure Lush’s products aren’t the first she hasn’t liked.
Morgan The price is everything, wtf are you saying? Okay, their stuff is vegan. But when you price ONE EYESHADOW as $20 nobody cares about your vegan shit. I’d just go to the drugstore and buy a $5 eyeshadow that probably looks better.
I have been SOO curious about Lush cosmetics. I swear everything I think of that I'd love to learn about new products or brands etc you already think of them! Your on fire girl. Stay true, Stay beautiful and Stay you! Love from us small town Canadian girls. xo
Taylor Hansen lush is an amazing care skin store. They have amazing bath bombs that soften up your skin and they're so beautiful. I have very sensitive skin and I have bad break outs and their products do a really good job of keeping my face refreshed and under control. I wouldn't base the company on their makeup because that's not what their known for. However, their makeup doesn't look the best
You can tell that these products are not going to be liked before the first product was applied. Can't be a honest review if you already have formed a opinion. I would of just stopped and said LUSH sucks.
cece41474 biased means that it was based on her opinion on lush and her choices of makeup, like bright blue liner and baby pink lips she knows aren't the best in her
It's a shame that UA-cam has become such a large platform for cosmetic companies to promote their products, but so many beauty UA-camrs will beat up a brand if it isn't 'full coverage or high pigment'. So many of us love sheer, natural makeup and not full beat. Chloe Morello's review and tutorial is so much more professional and thorough than this one. I love this lady, but this is a huge thumbs down from me 👎🏻 if this is your career, than surely you could take it a little bit more serious and actually help us out here 🤔
i love you, youre beautiful!
Laura Lee 😻😻😻😻😻😻
Laura Lee I love u soo much you're the best 😘❤️
i love you tooooo
Laura Lee i love youuuu
Laura Lee LAURA YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION I LUH YOU S'MUSSHHH💓💓💓💓
actually...the foundation matches perfectly your skintone and i feel like you made some products look bad on porpuse...
chiara vernini purpose*
idk maybe it's the camera or something but I thought your skin with the foundation and powder looked pretty good.
Deseo participar en tu rifa. gracias
Frankie Lolis I think its the ringlight type lighting they use.
Frankie Lolis she thinks she's a full blown dark skinned black girl when she's not obviously
KAYLuluA3 this comment deserves more attention tbh
KAYLuluA3 literally so many times the eb doesn’t get a good rep because people order online and don’t consult with someone in store
Thank you!!!
KAYLuluA3 it’s not what they normally have but it’s also a bad try from lush
so true plus ITS HAND MADE AND ALL ORGANIC she does not once cut any slack for that important factor
The skin supplements are to be mixed with moisturizer! They're not foundation and they won't give you full or medium coverage, it's more of a BB cream finish! As for the liner, all of the make-up in those bottles (lipstick, eyeshadows, liners) can be used on eachother so that's why it's the same formula, hence being 'whipped' as you couldn't use a liquid eyeliner on your lips or eyes (as a blendable shadow)
Source: I worked for Lush for two years and have been a Lushie for much longer!
I feel like Laura overestimates how tan she is... that foundation is like half a shade too light, it looks fine
Madi Brown if you noticed though she always has foundation that is about a shade or so darker than her natural skin tone. So to herself she prefers a darker complexion than a light complexion. I don't mean to argue, just pointing out her "usual", but I agree she looks just fine in the video
Madi Brown exactly

I prefer my foundation to be exact skin color and lighter concealer but to each there own.. when summer comes and I get tan though my foundations will for sure be too light.
She does have a lot of lights on her though and most cameras I know of tend to lighten a persons skin tone
why did she choose light blue eyeliner and light pink lipstick? like did she expect the colors to look good
Bethan Jones yes, but however she was complaining about how they don't match. well they're not going to match if it's light pink and blue
She clearly said that she was trying out the product to see how it worked not how the color looked...
A Mohd well lush do have something to do with her colour choices because they made those the colours...
She said the colors are way too off so she was the one who picked those colors and gave a bad review for it instead of actually getting regular colors and basic and actually try to do everything right. I bet if they were paying her she would've done a better job
Ali Joyce when she said the colors were off she ment the foundation etc. because it described her skin tone but it was way to light
does anyone understand lush makeup is meant to be worn sheer. Its not meant to be full coverage, its meant to enhance the features on our face😔😔
because thats why they make orange lipstick and blue eyeshadow
Emily's Outlet yeah bc blue eyeliner will look good sheer
Like damn it's not hard
did you buy all the wrong products for you just to throw shade at lush?
I'm beginning to definitely think she did!!! It's so frustrating!
Madi Price bought all the wrong products so some of lush's products are wrong? who's the real person throwing shade?
The products are crap lol have you even tried them? Lush should stick to soap lol
jazzkight WTF are you taking about? That makes no sense...
When she puts on other eyeliner she goes a lot slower and actually tries on this she just uses it like a paint brush she doesn't give anything a chance
she was being harsh on the good stuff but the eyeliner was defs not good
I like lush products I never had a issue with them being clumpy or weird. It's like you already had a opinion of them before you started and picked unflattering colors for yourself. I don't know . I like them.
she just did that for clickbait
girl that eyeliner hurt my heart
Becca Crowell Same feeling
Becca Crowell i
it's like she doesnt know how to do eyeliner....I have that and never put it over my lashes like she did
Samantha Williams yeah she applied it harshly with the side of the brush instead of lightly brushing the tip on her lid
Is it just me or is the foundation her color and she is thinking she's darker than she really is
Kaylie Barbano she usually puts peanut butter on her face😂😂😂
hahaha!
Kaylie Barbano it looks light to me for sure if it matched perfect you wouldnt be able to tell the obvious difference when she starts putting it on
I agree! The color was better on her
ikr!!! I was like ummm
Honestly, if she didn't apply the eyeliner like a 5 year old and at least tried to match the lip color to the rest it would look really nice. Not to mention she should have asked an employee to help her get a foundation that matched her skin tone.
She bought it online, so she couldn’t get an employee’s help.
Belle Grace the greater Los Angeles area is home to no less than 7 different LUSH locations. She could have easily walked into a store.
She said she wasn’t trying to match she’s just testing out the products
The foundation actually looks fine
Denali COBB ikr
The shade matched.... you're always trying to seem darker/tanner
Victoria Allison exactly 😂😂
Lyanh Ramirez great info! Thanks💜❤️💙
First video I ever watched of hers, and I gotta say it really makes her seem unlikable.
Camryn Ewing how
Camryn Ewing hello
How do you like her now 😂😂
She just seems to be in a bad mood before she even applied the first product (after the intro) I feel as though that may have affected the way she felt towards the products....
nikki dyer she did the into last so she already knew how it played out so I agree she was negative from the jump
she filmed the intro after she reviewed the products!
nia stewart I'm talking about right after the intro before she tried the makeup
Yeah cuz she already thought the foundation was too light
omg the worst mood! i thought the same thing.. and i never comment on youtube vidoes but today i did! hahah
Lush has a gold liquid liner and it looks like LIQUID GOLD! It's long lasting, and you can use it as an eyeshadow. When you tap it in, it doesn't disappear. Love you Laura :)
It also doesn't get on your lashes btw
Hannah Walker ooooooo sounds fabulous!💜❤️💙
It is :)
also her foundation matched she normally just puts peanut butter on her face
Lottie Monroe exactly, lmao
Thought the same thing lol!
Yeah she definitely wears foundation that's too dark. I thought I was the only one who thought this lol.
Lol trueeee
Compare her face to her neck, and also take into consideration that the lighting effects it.
Ophelia Biggs Sulfates and fragrance. Period.
that foundation literally matched your skin....
McKenna Autem it's definitely too light and wrong undertone idk where y'all af
McKenna Autem I know but she had to be negative
Mary Currey p
McKenna Autem fr
Exactly what i was thinking. Idk what she usually uses cause i don't really watch her but like it matched her skin heaps tbh
was she mad when she did this video ? lol chill girl you over exaggerate, when you do a review on a product you do it professionally with honesty .
She is honest with this video, she just did not like it that is all
Fanny Santos she wasn't honest she half assed the review and had an obvious bias opinion. She went into this review not liking lush and made that known. This was not a professional review like she made it out to be.
the "foundation " was just a tinted moisturizer so you weren't supposed to used that much its just supposed to tint your skin a little bit
then they should say so, but on the website the directions say to treat it as a foundation for full coverage or to add it with a moisturizer for a tint
x8Sophie actually it says mix for a tinted moisturizer or use alone for more coverage. It does not say full coverage and is not intended for full coverage.
x8Sophie actually....it doesn't
Felt like you never really gave the products a fair chance, this review felt really rushed, barely put any mascara on, im confused as to why you wouldn't at least try and pull the look together, and better yet, why you didn't choose products that would create a nice look, I mean girl, bright blue eyeliner with orange lipstick? Come on
Ciára she was just trying on each individual product
Ciára she put on quite a bit yo. How much mascara do you really use?
She put on like, five layers of mascara, how many are you supposed to put on for it to work?! In no way was she bias. I think she gave an honest review and everybody that’s mad is probably just a butthurt lush fan.
Deepfriedcelery ._. I completely agree. I’m a fan of lush but everyone’s getting way too mad about her own personal opinion 😂
If you read more on the colour supplement you would have seen that you're supposed to mix it with a moisturiser and use it that way... can't give it a proper review if it isn't used correctly.
I like that you didn't give us a preview of the makeup in the intro!!! Thanks boo! That kept me interested to the end!
I love Laura, but she seemed very negative in this video and biased. lush is a great brand and I've only tried a couple of their makeup products but they were actually good. if you want people to like and trust your reviews, make sure they don't have a negative/biased tone to them.
She literally just applied the liner to her lashes on purpose wtf
strong and stable I know this is a year later but yes!
So much negativity in this video, you didn't even try
Nena Smithcx pretty sure you don't apply those products like that anyways. 🤷🏻♀️
am I the only person that is like. huh. imagine waking up one day and you have a notification saying you won a mac book air from LAURA FRIGGING LEEEEEEEEE!!!! 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
Brooklyn McCormick I wish! Lol
Brooklyn McCormick i wish 😄😄
Brooklyn McCormick That would be really cool!
I would probably scream until I passed out 💁
Girl this only happens in dream for me at least ! 😭😭
idk why but I can't even trust ur reviews??! Like girl, the product looks great on u but u make such a bad comments! ?
I know!
It's honestly like she went into the review thinking it was going to be a miss and only had bad things to say about EVERYTHING
Well she did say she tried it before the video so I'm guessing she already knew it was crap.
Julie J lush makeup just isn't very good. A lot of people disliked it.
first of all GIRL. the colour supplement is a tinted moisturizer intended to be mixed with one of lush's moisturizers not as an all over base. second of all Lush is all about the natural look and not caked on.. its not Anastasia Beverly hills... thats not really its intention.
"i'm starting to look like a clown" girl you bought blue eyeliner and orange lipstick and expected not to look like one lmaooooo first video of hers and i'm so turned off by her attitude
jai not to be rude but she did say that she was not trying to do a cohesive look, just trying out the products. 😊
(not hating, just saying)
jai I recommend watching a different vid because she is a really nice person XX
janette seagrim are you related to her or something
@Buffy Summers lol I agree
I feel like you were in a bad mood going into this
Chey Mac their products do cost a lot, all of the products she used could add up to $250. Maybe she’s being hard on these products cus Lush overprices their stuff like crazy. I’d be upset too.
Chiggy Mac I felt that tooooooo, but I love Laura and maybe she has given these products another chance;)
I felt this too! She had a way neg energy going into this
I hope this doesn't turn off people from ever getting lush products.
Miaa Banda yesss I love their other products. Shower jellies are my jam.
Miaa Banda I think lush will be just fine despite this review lol
Miaa Banda they do use parabens and sulfates! Be careful
Miaa Banda what products do you use??
J. Sprague go to their website and educate yourself on parabens. Not all are bad. One study done back in the day falsely gave the idea that they were which isn't true. Seriously, lush does their research. They explain why they use them in full on their website and why they actually aren't harmful. Plz go look into it before spreading misinformation.
the "foundation" you used is actually a cream you mix in to your foundations if its not the right shade. its a colour corrector for you foundation!
Dianne Flores exactly!! I bought the modern renaissance palette and can't stand the fallout. I don't get how everyone is obsessed.
And to add Lush is not a makeup brand its a fragrance and body company
Totally agree! I've tried the Hourglass Vanishing Foundation Stick and it's the worsttttttt on my skin. I hated it so much, but I know a lot of people swear by it.
Dianne Flores Ikr? Everyone keeps baiting when I don't see the "attitude" they see, I feel like she's always been like this xD
Dianne Flores I think people are mad because it wasn't a good review. You have to admit that she tries much harder to make products work in her other videos. She didn't even attempt to apply some of the products correctly, like the "foundation." And that liner application.... Oh sweet baby Jesus!
Come on this isn't even a fair review.
Kitty Stevens how?
How
I agree, she went in with a bias and you can see that. She applied it roughly and with other eyeliners she takes her time but with lush eyeliners she used it as if she was using it as if she was applying it with a paintbrush. She was skeptical with with every product and went in with with a bad attitude towards all of the lush products
exactly
Kitty Stevens I know right
I love that she didn't show the end result! so many gurus do it and it ruins the fun 🙁 ilysm Laura 😘
EmilyXx ik! 😂
Lols I just realised we have the same name 😂
Hello fellow Emily😂💗
EmilyXx Omg hello fellow Emily 😋 I like ur name 😄
Emily Hilgeman I know.. I always think that too!💜❤️💙
She kinda did in the thumbnail 😬
The description of the foundation matches your skin, not your fake tan
emory lowe 90th like😂😂
emory lowe LAUARA GET ROASTEEED
Liseth Sira tru
❤️
EXACTLY.
Can't wait for this year round 24/7 fake tan can't leave the house without ma bronzer glow on trend goes away and people stop thinking fair skin is awful or pastey or ghostlike, I love a tan too, but like.... you know...
In the SUMMER. 😅👌🏻
#EmbraceTheGhost
emory lowe I just realised! Hahah
At 11:08 she literally says she isn't trying to do a makeup look, she is just testing the products
Tbh that foundation is actually almost the perfect colour for her skin tone
I'm literally crying. When she puts the blue eyeliner, holy hell 😂😂😂😂
looked like a half assed review, no energy and rushed through. smh
Wow
agreed
Leila Kelly agree 100%
This video stressed me out.
She made me so damn mad I don't even know why she was in my suggested I couldn't even finish the video.
Why exactly?
Same she complains so much oml
idk why all youtubers are so critical of lush makeup, I love it so much
im wondering if its because lush is one of the brands that doesnt send them PR
Some products work better for others, but if you watched the video you clearly saw that those products are AWFUL. At least she's being honest with her viewers.
it has nothing to do with PR. lush seems more geared towards "natural" girls and beauty gurus gravitate towards full coverage makeup -- thats what theyre comparing it to it seems
most vids i've seen on lush make up are diff than other brands they get sent. like for the liner, i would have applied it with my own eyeliner brush to make it look better. gurus try to like things they're sent because these are the ppl paying for their trips.
You tried to use NATURAL makeup and make a GLAM look. Obviously it didn't work and you went through product quickly, you caked it on.
Emmy Kate exactly lol! Like sis don't be dissing organic 😂
Emmy Kate it's natural ingredients not natural-looking! There's nothing glam about mascara, if it doesn't work then it doesn't work!
Emily Cheesman so right!!!
keep your hate to yourself thanks
AGREED. Felt like she wanted to hate it from the beginning and didn’t even try to like it.
Sarah Oake That's not hate
I don't even like LUSH. Lots of beauty gurus don't. It's just an opinion
That pink lip color made laura look like that one girl with the dry crusty lips that spongebob had to fight off 😂😂😂 love you laura 💋
Kelsy Bernal lmaoo
Dang guuurl you're always giving back to your subscribers, it shows that you truly do appreciate your subbies! You and Ty are the best, love ya'll!
Honestly , your video had a negative vibe to it . You didn't even try . You were just so negative about everything . We get it you didn't like it , I thought the eyeliner was pretty & that you just put it on all over your eyelashes of course you're not gonna like it . You exaggerarted a lot .
❤️
I know, I was cringing when she
scribbled that dang eyeliner
on her eyes, lol. : )
i didnt know if it was just me that she was judging so harsh on the products and not giving it a fair try. im so glad im not the only one haha
Abby Booth i feel like she might be giving a bad review because she might have contract with mac.
Briana G um what
Becca Martin a contract.
It's hard to use a brush that small
It looks like she purposely put it on her eyelashes..
you can tell which brands pay for her reviews lmfao
cait true
Love how often you post! Sorry to hear about the drama on Snapchat last night. Just know that the haters are far outnumbered by those of us that love and appreciate all your hard work!
cheeselinberger What happened?
Deborah F. Add Laura on snap, it's still on there.
The snaps I just saw said there was something happening but I think the ones that actually explained what happened already disappeared. Can you fill us in?
what happened
Some girl on twitter was claiming that Laura & the whole gang shaded her sister when she asked to take a picture with them...but Laura actually took a picture with the girl. The girl ranted about not supporting them any more since they let fame get to their heads. Essentially just some girl wanting attention trying to bring down hardworking youtubers.
the amount of attitude in this video...
actually tho
melssspicee she sounds like Farrah Abraham, maybe that's why 😂
I'd be so mad if I spent so much money on makeup that doesn't feel good nor look good, honestly.
if you've ever used lush you'd understand the frustration...the products are HORRIBLE
❤️
Obviously y'all have not tried "Feeling Younger, their highlighter.
I have 2 jars. One for my purse just in case. Lol.
#HOLYGRAIL
Way to light ? Girl if anything it’s one shade off. And we all know damn straight you don’t apply eyeliner like that !
Dirty Diana it's hard to apply eyeliner when the brush is so short
I've yet to see anyone review this make up line and like it which is sad because the fact that it's all natural is a huge selling point for people who have severe allergies or need gluten free makeup like myself and can't readily find it! Thank you for such a wonderful review! 👍🏻👍🏻
sheree Smith I got the colour supplement and really liked it, you're meant to mix it with moisturiser though and its more like a bb cream/tinted moisturiser/light-medium coverage. When I'm going for a natural look or every day I really like it, but not if I go out and want full coverage.
My sister loves the mascara, I bought one of the lip colours and liked the colour but it didn't last :(
The lip scrubs are amazing though! my fave lip scrubs ever
Thanks for the information/opinions it's appreciated! Maybe I'll look into them! I don't mind light coverage for work (hospital)!
sheree Smith It might work well for you! it didn't work for Laura. maybe it'll work for you! I've heard of people who are head over heels for this brand's makeup. so you never know!
I will look for Chloe's review thank you!
You seemed very negative from the beginning. Lushes products a little goes a long way. And your foundation wasn't even that off. You just seemed like biased from the beginning and your videos aren't usually like that
Ashley i agree
Ashley completely agree, kinda pissed actually since iv tried these products ( correctly using them) and loved them . she just smacked the products on her face like they are going to be the same as every other product. they aren't the same and that's the point! like damn iv seen 5 year old girls put more effort when using kid makeup than she did with these products. like I lover her videos but it seems like someone pissed in her tea before she did this first impression .
Ashley completely agree
❤️
LOL, I know, it's like youtubers all go into it hating on Lush makeup.
The BEST Lush beauty product is actually the one she did not even buy.
It's called "Feeling Younger", and is an amazing natural looking highlighter, it's my HOLY GRAIL and I hope they never stop making it! It's AMAZING. 👏🏼
I see nothing but busted ass looking people agreeing with you, and like the products they look a hot mess!
Lowkey feels like she kinda didn’t give lush a chance and kinda didn’t try her best... but still love you Laura
I love you
Other UA-camrs have tested Lush makeup and thought it was crap, too. It doesn't matter if Laura read directions, applied it better, or farted rainbows during this video. Crap makeup is crap. Lush needs to go back to the drawing board.
abunchahooey LOOL! This was so mean 😅😅😅😅. I couldn't stop laughing
abunchahooey i never tested their make up products! But the skincare products they have are amazing!
Olia Than i think thats the case with alot of all natural brands. Their skin care is amazing but make up is crap. I LOVE beauty counter skin care. It is amazing but there make while they have beautiful colors they are super shear. Which is super sad since there skin care and other products are to die for!
preach
I get wanting organic and cruelty free products but there's so many makeup lines now a days that are cruelty free and even vegan for 3 times less expensive than Lush's.
same and i wanna start making videos of doing covers.
Hannah Luca i bought it for the light coverage and it still sucked soooo
I got it for my skin and HOLY COW it does NOTHING for my skin. Nothing.
the colors literally have nothing to do with this, she's reviewing the product iself
Hannah Luca the color has nothing to do with the formula or how it applies. So why don't you get educated before you trash her.
Hope Squaw actually colour can affect formula ☺️ depending on the amount of pigment and the different pigments required
Check out Tati's (GlamLifeGuru) review on Lush makeup if you want a more elaborate review.
She didn't even do it right, instead, check out Chloe Morello, who actually read the instructions
You should try their skin care/bath/body/everything but make up. It is all really good!
Lexie Roper Lots of beauty gurus don't like the products
Lush is one of my favorite store but their cosmetics is something I'm gonna have to pass on😬
Lush should probably stick to bath bombs and all that stuff. Leave the make up to the make up people.
You should definitely do a blue eyeliner look. Maybe not with that eyeliner.
Lisa Goetsch I agree I only go to lush for hand scrub and bath bombs
Lisa Goetsch everyone has been plastering UA-cam comments asking for these reviews and there is a reason no one uses the brand in tutorials.

Please do a full face using only paint brushes
Dominica Mendoza I WANNA TRY THAT ON MY CHANNEL SO BAD
Dominica Mendoza ohhhh that sounds fun💙💜❤️
That sounds painful 😖
Jen Dear The foundation is so sheer... you can still see flaws on the skin unless you use an uncanny amount.
Nickie V some foundations are supposed to be sheer. This foundation was meant to be more of a tinted moisturizer. They don't even call it foundation.
Question she said she hates the second lipstick but it looks like prom night from jeffree?? 😂🙃
Jill Roden to be fair Prom Night is very vibrant and neon
but yes that's true 😂
Yea prom night is hot pink I own that one 😂 virginity from his summer 2016 collection is closer lol that one tbh looked bad on everyone
That mascara had me shaking my head. That wand is crazy short, even if it actually worked as an actual mascara no way would I buy it. Only thing I would consider is the eye shadow and even that's kinda pricey I would rather spend money on the Stila pigments
Sandra Aguilar I love the taupey eyeshadow. Which is your favorite?
That mascara had me so irritated when I bought it. Like, just no.
Morgan omg she hurt their feelings
Are you in the comments when she disses other products? Or do you only care cause it’s Lush? Im sure Lush’s products aren’t the first she hasn’t liked.
Morgan The price is everything, wtf are you saying? Okay, their stuff is vegan. But when you price ONE EYESHADOW as $20 nobody cares about your vegan shit. I’d just go to the drugstore and buy a $5 eyeshadow that probably looks better.
I much rather her be real and honest then to be fake and just act like she likes it because she doesn't wanna be "negative"
Ashley Fox Right me too...and she did exactly that...Girl did you see the end. Laura couldn't wait to get that shit off her face 😂😂😂😂
Full face using essence makeup please!!!❤❤😽😽😽😽😽😼😽😸😸
Kaitlyn Thomas yes!! OML the false lash effect mascara is AMAZING!!!😍
Kaitlyn Thomas Same Same Love the brand but want a full on review.
Michael finch did a review and I love it!
Way over the top with the skin supplement, it's supposed to be subtle and sheer
You can tell that these products are not going to be liked before the first product was applied. Can't be a honest review if you already have formed a opinion. I would of just stopped and said LUSH sucks.
Before 10k views squad wya?
Just remember this is her opinion and her opinion only, so try not to take too much offense. Do you, people, do you.
very biased 🙄
cece41474 biased means that it was based on her opinion on lush and her choices of makeup, like bright blue liner and baby pink lips she knows aren't the best in her
You're skin is flawless naturally x
I have to say this has to be hands down the worst makeup I've ever seen anyone apply lol
Keep doing you, your honesty is why i will always continue watching! x
I love this lady, but this is a huge thumbs down from me 👎🏻 if this is your career, than surely you could take it a little bit more serious and actually help us out here 🤔
no chill, its called criticism
"Why does it look like white out on my lips?" Story of my life 😂😂😂😂
I love how she playing the squeaking sound as she is scratching her noise lol
Why is everyone hating this video??? Not her fault the products sucked.
don’t know why laura’s getting hate on this...you come to her channel for HER opinions. love you laura❤️❤️❤️❤️
