nice series of videos on 3D cockpit making, I have one last question tho, is there anything that could be done to increase the display of the brightness of the autopilot indicator/settings numbers in the autopilot display window/annunciator? currently i can barely see the autopilot settings at night
Hi UAL835, I'm sorry but I don't know how to make changes to individual instruments lighting put here's a link to the forum where someone had a similar problem might help. It involved using photoshop (or Gimp) to lighten the object, might be worth a try. forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/228065-cockpit-instruments-too-dark-to-read-after-update/ Thanks for watching hope you were successful creating you 3D cockpit and you can get the autopilot lighting corrected. Let me know how you make out. Blessings, skip
@@WEHVideos turns out the only solution i got to work was to turn on the flood lights like you did in the video lol, seems like a good enough fix for me so thanks for your help!
thank you so much for this, felt so helpless with planemaker. i sincerely hope you do more of that stuff, especially manipulators, door handles and so on. I simply don't get these things to work and i don't catch the trick.
Hi piloto loco, I'm afraid my abilities with plane maker are extremely limited I don't know anything about manipulators etc. just the simple things, sorry. Blessings, skip
@@WEHVideos hey no problem skip. but maybe you can help me with something specific: i am trying to place smaller panel lights to illuminate the surface of the panel and in some cases maybe place such inside the analogue gauges. your video shows a reduced choice of 3 spotlights that affect the whole cabin, but what i need to understand is whether there very little lights that i can put underknief the front glare shield shining downwards affecting a very limited space. i work with ac3d, and there is some chosable light types that can be added, but things don't seem to work. now there is plane maker and on the other hand there is the modelling program like AC3D, and i don't know which way to go to find a solution. If you wanna spend a minute or two to investigate, maybe we find some cool new stuff. thanks in advance for your help.
Hi piloto loco, I'm afraid I won't be able to do much here I'm two video's behind so it will be some time before I can check this out, it does sound interesting though so maybe someday I can give it a try but not in the near future I'm afraid :-( Blessings, skip
