Ran across your channel today looking for a chicken lettuce wrap recipe. I had all the ingredients on hand and made this tonight. This is better than take out!!! Great recipe! New subscriber 😊
I never usually comment on food I make but I LITERALLY JUST MADE THEM AND THEY ARE SOOO GOOD !! If your making this you def gotta put Sesame oil it makes this meal perfect 😘👌🏻
Fabulous video, my husband absolutely loves this recipe. So glad you showed how to cook the bean threads, they add so much. I skipped the siracha and did a very light dusting of cayenne instead. New subscriber
Thank you so much for watching Deb! I'm so glad you and hubby enjoyed this recipe. To be honest, it is a show stopper in my house too that is why I had to share with others. I really appreciate you becoming a subbie, you're now apart of the N Crowd .... yeaaaa and WELCOME!!!
This is Frieda. Something happened to my comment. Anyway, thank you for this recipe and I cant wait to try this. Love PF Changs lettuce wrap. Also going to try the rice noodles. Thanks again.
For sure! I usually pick up my hoisin and soy sauce from an Asian market in Chicago. The brand of Hoisin is Lee Kum Kee and soy sauce Kikkoman. I also have a dark soy sauce that I purchase from the Asian market too that brand is Lee Kum Kee too. I only use dark soy sauce for my fried rice or Lo Mein. You can check out the videos I did cooking both those dishes. SO DELICIOUS! I hope this helps! 🤗
Nice recipe, sorth trying out for sure. The rice noodle frying is cool… Just a few Qs… A. How did you remove the fat n why didn’t you keep that in the video B. Wouldn’t it be better to use a frying -an, it will dry faster and you can toss n mix easily C. Maybe we can use some chilies n paprika, to give it a kick D. How about some scallions, green onions for crunch. Maybe also some carrot shreds You could use less filling and roll them close. So it’s easier to have and lasts longer. Keep up the good work and I’ll be coming back from more magic recipes here. 👍👍👍
Thank you for watching! To answer your questions: I usually have an empty coffee jar and we pour it all in there then dispose of it. I didn't want to share it because it looks gross! LOL. You can use a frying pan, but I wanted something that had a little more depth to it since I was adding additional ingredients. I didn't want to over fill the frying pan. Yes feel free to use jalapeños to the dish to give it a kick. I would steer clear of paprika because it might change the taste. I'd try it first with jalapeños though. Yes you can add scallions, additional green onions or carrots for a topping. I just like those fried noodles. I highly encourage adding anything that makes your tastebuds dance. :) Yes, you're correct! I should have added less meat so I can roll them better. I overfilled that one being eager to dig in. So happy to have you as a new subbie!
Those are not rice noodles, rice noodles are white not translucent. They are easy to break. Bean thread noodles are made from starch and water while rice noodles are made from rice flour and water.
@@meechee2too754 there’s a lot of differences actually, I currently work at P.F. Chang’s and make these every other day. The main differences/errors are the use of a frying pan rather than wok, the use of onion and hoisin sauce, the lack of oyster sauce, black pepper instead of white pepper, her process of cooking is also different.
@@meechee2too754 the sauce should be a mixture of equal parts rice wine, oyster sauce, and dark sauce whisked together with sugar and white pepper prepared separately from the chicken. The chicken should be grounded into oblivion and cooked on a flattop grill, combined with crimini mushrooms and water chestnuts and set aside. Then you heat a ring of oil in a wok and add the chicken and aromatics(scallions, garlic, and ginger) cook until fragrant then add your sauce and cook until caramelized.

What kind of pan do you use?
I can’t find the rice noodles like yours. Only found the smallest ones. 😰 they didn’t work.
Sorry for the late reply-- Try these www.walmart.com/ip/Dynasty-Maifun-Rice-Sticks-6-75-Oz/10451687?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0
The deep fried "fun si" is supposed to be "bean thread" made of mung bean instead of rice. Go to Asian supermarket if there is one available.

This is pretty close, remove the onions and switch the hoisin for oyster sauce and your golden
Onions add so much flavor though.
You are so beautiful ! I love this recipe. Thanks
