I make this dish about 4 or 5 times a year. I use breakfast sausage with either ground turkey or ground chicken. Since it is just me, I freeze 2/3rds of it. Cook once and easily get 2 meals per third. I brown the meat mixture and divide that. What I freeze, doesn't have the veggies. Then as I get the frozen out, I heat it up and then add the veggies. Hi Flo and Dude. Can't wait to make this, I never knew it was made with duck originally. My Korean son in law loves duck and when they are in season they are kind of inexpensive at Aldi, but I will use the pork for now. I love wrapping things in lettuce leaves for the cool crunch as Dude mentioned. Thanks for this great recipe!!❤ Have great week.
Easy recipe. Thanks a lot. We can most probably replace water chestnuts with carrots. And I would add a tablespoon of dark soy sauce for better visual. We Hakka people in Malaysia ( especially we who hail from Ipoh ) love darker colours 😂. And some chilli padi for the extra spice😋

Not Asian at all… one of the best breakfast I had in Vancouver/ Port Coquitlam was Eggs Benedict but use fresh smoked salmon instead of Canadian bacon or other meat. Was totally the BEST breakfast of the week. Didn’t know if that would be something up your alley. It was so good!! Thanks for the lessons and recipes!!
