I totally agree bro that ep is absolutely great! Love it, especially forever marked and feel the same, these 2 are one of my fav currents songs too! But imo their best album/Ep/record whatever overall, is "The Way it Ends", bloody hell that's a good f*cking album! The whole thing just blew me away the first time I listened to it, til this day I still love it and come back to that album
Literally is like The Place I Feel Safest but with a sprinkle of The Way It Ends! God those low vocals from Brian are outstanding!! 10/10 song! Might be my favorite heavy song of the year.
Really love this song! The great heaviness and vocals of 'The place I feel safest' and 'I let the devil in' combined with the full, rich ambiance we got with 'The way it ends'. I can't wait to hear a full album in this style! My favorite Currents song has to be Forget Me. Hbu Metalbirb? Got a favorite?
The latest Currents songs have some of the best mixing I've heard in a long time. Everything is loud as fuck and full of gravity, but also quite clear and everything is audible. It's beautiful execution. Hope some others take notes.
I really enjoy no-structures songs, this one included. I like it better than The Death We Seek. Really hyped for this album ! Favorite Currents song will forever be The Place I Feel Safest. Also... I'm losing hope on seeing you react to the new Gloom in The Corner album ahah really wanted that one, as its my aoty for now! :p
My favorite Currents song is a toss up between Into Despair and Forever Marked. This song was sick, but idk if anything will ever top the I Let the Devil In EP for me personally. Good shit man!
tf ok, just because it's heavier/more brutal than the last album or what? We can't deny their last album was freaking good, no bad album for sure. Or did u like the album anyway lol? Sry If I would be wrong, it's just I hate those type of close minded diehard metalheads haha
Just randomly saw the channel update from 2 years ago. Metal babe going away for work. Has she been back since…..haven’t seen her in a while!? Did I miss anything?
Love this track, every single track that is just insanely heavy by Currents is an instant banger for me 100%, we absolutely need a deathcore project for Brian, he’s such a talented vocalist and human being. This is an unpopular opinion but Poverty of Self is my favorite currents track. The first breakdown in that track is one of my favorite breakdowns of all time actually.
This song kind of reminds me of when Volumes released their song "holywater." It took me a few listens to really enjoy 'holywater' so I might be doing the same for 'Vengeance.'
Hey man, I love your video reactions but one of my favorite bands is getting no love and I think they deserve they've been active since 2002 and they shred hard core. If you would be so kind react to Winds of Plague "Decimate the Weak".
This song rips. And all you haters need to shove it. You try writing for two bands consistently for multiple years. Chris said he wanted currents to get softer, but hey, I guess he changed his mind. My disguise is probably my favorite currents track. Can't wait to hear more
I find that metalcore bands that make these types of songs nowadays are such a miss. If I want to listen to a heavy song, I‘ll listen to a death core band. My favorite Currents song is forever marked.
As a single it could feel out of place but I’m sure it will make sense in their next album. Just like in “The Way it Ends”, poverty of self was that heavy quick thrasher that felt off as a single but in the structure of the album, it was perfect.
@@lars9764 yea same here. I’m not really sure why all these djentcore bands force in cleans where they’re not needed. It’s not like metalcore always had those super clean choruses. Old Converge and Norma Jean were just unrelenting heaviness. It also just seems lazy since some of these bands don’t seem to know how to write something catchy without souring clean vocals. And I don’t hate cleans. A lot of the choruses just seem like bands following a formula even when it doesn’t fit the song
@@phaaaze9984 Yea same, i love well used cleans like in The Plot in You or also Currents but a lot of bands nowadays do clean choruses just for the sake of having a clean chorus and not because it suits the song well imo
I agree, i like the previous single more, but even that didn't hit me nearly as much as any song off of The Way It Ends. I feel like it lacks the super catchy choruses, ambience and bouncy and techy lead work.
Currents always have a couple mindless heavy af songs on their records, on The Way It Ends it was Poverty of Self. Here is the new one from the new record
I personally have zero issues for this song because my thing is, they make something like they usually do then you have ppl saying it’s boring they are not switching it up.
@@trampledunderfootvid Yeah but poverty of self wasn't JUST heavy, it had some really good and bouncy grooves and a way more dynamic structure. This new one is a lot more repetitive and follows the same tempo and groove pretty much the whole song.
I saw Brian live in Melbourne month ago, hes extremely humble person.
He came and hugged me and thanked me for coming, what a legend!
Neat.
I'd hug you too. Especially if you're a hairy dude.
@@SoylentSoy Glad Im not lmao
Into Despair is still my main go to track for Currents. “I Left the Devil In” EP is soooooooo good.
that ep is their best work imo. keep going back to it to this day
I totally agree bro that ep is absolutely great!
Favorite Currents song would probably be Forget Me. Another Life is a close second though. Those songs just hit me on such a personal level.
I respect you good sir and commend those choices
Another life is such an underrated song, it's one of their best
Literally is like The Place I Feel Safest but with a sprinkle of The Way It Ends! God those low vocals from Brian are outstanding!! 10/10 song! Might be my favorite heavy song of the year.
Delusion was my first introduction to this incredible band but My Disguise is my favorite, I really love that chorus.
We’re the same lmao
Favorite currents song is forever marked. A great way to to finish an amazing EP.
Everything they've made is good. I like the rope a lot
Currents coming through AGAIN! My favorite song by them is probably better days, but rope is a VERY close second.
Kill the Ache is my favorite one, the lyrics, the grove and the mood of the song just put me into a trance !
Really love this song! The great heaviness and vocals of 'The place I feel safest' and 'I let the devil in' combined with the full, rich ambiance we got with 'The way it ends'. Into Despair!

My favorite currents song is shattered without a doubt
Fun moshing with u at the bad omens concert 🔥😁✌🏻
Bro. Just found your channel fucking subbed bro. Not a whole lot of metal streamers out there.
It’s up on his Patreon!!!
What do you mean by "no-structures"?
Man I love this band so much
Fucking legend for the intro, sick reaction good stuff BIRB
Better Days and Apnea for sure are my favorites.
My favorite Currents song is a toss up between Into Despair and Forever Marked. This song was sick, but idk if anything will ever top the I Let the Devil In EP for me personally. Good shit man!
I definitely like this better than a lot of the songs from the last album
tf ok, just because it's heavier/more brutal than the last album or what? We can't deny their last album was freaking good, no bad album for sure. Or did u like the album anyway lol? Sry If I would be wrong, it's just I hate those type of close minded diehard metalheads haha
Into despair is my fav
The New Age - Name Your Price! Hidden Gem.
Better days takes the easy win for my fav, with monsters and forever marked following close behind
Just randomly saw the channel update from 2 years ago. Metal babe going away for work. Has she been back since…..haven’t seen her in a while!? Did I miss anything?
Forever marked is their best song easily!!
Def one of them for sure! Better days is a close second for me
One of them
And hahah
Second Skin is one of my personal favorites
Better Days and Monsters for me
Currents ❤
I wanna say Monsters is my favourite but I think I'm gonna go with Into Despair... I listened to that so many times it's unbelievable 😂
I was listening to Gloom in the corner Album before I watch this. I thought I still listening to them. Sound similar 😄
For the time being, poverty is my favorite currents song. But if I listen to this enough, that may change lol
Great reaction! Mines always a toss up between My Disguise or Night Terrors
This is hands down currents’ HEAVIEST song. Change my mind
Definitely between this and poverty of self
Venganza!
Makes me think of Meshuggah. Anyone else?
How was Avoid live? Currents is so sick, great vid per usual
Saw them in nyc, they were fun! Lead singer has a lot of energy and it was infectious
@@David-ql3wm that’s awesome! I hope I can catch them live soon 😅😅
They’re fun and told Benny they legit kick ass
@@METALBIRB met Benny earlier this year and he’s genuinely such a great guy, he’s really funny and so energetic, love that dude
Saw them perform a headlining set last month after Bad Omens had to cancel. They were amazing!
This song kind of reminds me of when Volumes released their song "holywater." It took me a few listens to really enjoy 'holywater' so I might be doing the same for 'Vengeance.'
I think the lyrics are a huge selling point for the song personally. Favorite Currents song is Apnea or Split but it’s really hard to choose
Ryan Leitru is also killing with the production. I think The Death We Seek might be my favorite song of theirs to date
Hey man, I love your video reactions but one of my favorite bands is getting no love and I think they deserve they've been active since 2002 and they shred hard core. If you would be so kind react to Winds of Plague "Decimate the Weak".
fav Currents songs in no particular order: Forever Marked, Monsters ,Another Life and Better Days
Shattered is currents best track
Was wondering if you'd like to do a reaction to my song
Man I love Currents!
This song rips. And all you haters need to shove it. You try writing for two bands consistently for multiple years. Chris said he wanted currents to get softer, but hey, I guess he changed his mind. My disguise is probably my favorite currents track. Can't wait to hear more
Sounds like abbie falls
A flag to wave is probably my fav or into despair
It’s hard to pick a favorite. Maybe Better Days would eek it out for me.
Everyone knows Shattered is their best song
Why can't people just enjoy a good heavy song? Like God damn not every single song has to be super technical.
I personally enjoy the lack of clean vocals in this song. Sometimes their clean choruses can be a bit generic for my liking.
Just wondering if this song won't be performed by Currents, will it get same amount attention and reactions? 😏
Dude i live the tee!! I almost bought that one when they were in Boise. Instead i got the teilogy one!!
Parts of this kind of remind me of the breakdown for Stabbing In The Dark. Anyone else hear it?
I’m surprised you haven’t listened to that new plot in you track
I like the song but man, I feel like the songwriting has taken a small step back.
I fucking love currents but I hate the drum mix. The cymbals. Especially the hi hat sound like a tambourine.
I find that metalcore bands that make these types of songs nowadays are such a miss. If I want to listen to a heavy song, I‘ll listen to a death core band. My favorite Currents song is forever marked.
