Chase Rice really doesn't have that great of a voice (and he'll even admit that at some of his shows). What makes his music so awesome is how heartfelt it is...how well he connects with it. He doesn't have some awesome, powerful voice like Randy Houser or crazy control like Chris Young... but he has such an awesome connection to the songs he sings. Guy puts on a hell of a show.
I feel you bro! My dad died the first day I got my first proper job when I was 24, after leaving us at approx the age of 8. We had a love/a hate relationship but his death screwed me up. I ain't done bad since, he was a strong character and I just wanted to make him proud, similar to you dude! God bless!

I don't think this is the best performance I've seen Chase give HOWEVER I can see it came from his heart. As a performer some of my more heart felt shows haven't been my best. Our emotions are what drives us to write & perform in the first place & sometimes those emotions get the best of us. ANYONE that has EVER taken 5 minutes to watch a youtube video, see a show or even read about Chase Rice knows these things: *He LOVES football (sports in general) & Coach Posse, Reynolds HS, Carolina rank HIGH in his life altering experiences. Not going to the NFL was a BIG blow to him on many levels. *His father dying has really effected him very deeply (I think it would anyone) *Garth & Kenny are his 2 biggest influences musically & he NEVER misses the opportunity to let that be known. *Also IF you listen to ANY of his lyrics & get past the "party" side he shows to his fans you can see that he has a deep side & the "wild child" he projects to the public is NOT what Chase is about or even who he is. He has suffered some heartache for certain & I HOPE he stays in the industry for MANY MANY years! He has some KILLER song writing skills & I LOVE the fact that he is NOT fake. Lol, just my humble opinion! We are proud of him in Asheville, NC!

Chris W Ive been playing for 25 yrs, and still cant play a song I dont feel! If you cant own the song, you shouldnt play it!
