Shark week!!!! ;) Nice saves mate. I'l be honest I haven't heard of the black ring causing color change but you would know if anyone. I too prefer the black ring look. They look clean in my opinion. Especially morgans and peace dollars. Anyhow, nice set and thanks for sharing bro!
Thank you!! It’s hit and miss with the black rings causing problems. I’ve been reluctant to change but have seen some problems along the way with several coins. It’s a combo. Crummy planchet prep for the coin and possible tarnishing from some black ring capsules if not sealed well …or if the black rings are made in China lol 😩
😂 Yeah the black rings look nice. I do have a few coins where it’s darned suspicious that the capsules resulted in discoloration. I feel that it’s probably more attributable to poor planchet prep or other mishandling of the coins prior to encapsulation. The black rings might be speeding up the process. Who knows for sure. It’s a good excuse to bust out some older coins for a trip down memory lane. Thanks for watching, Brother

I’ve always been a fan of the black ring as well! I heard you channel your inner Julia Child, lol
