As a kid of the 60’s … every time I hear this song I start to cry. Why ? My mother was a HUGE Connie Francis fan. My father took all of the her sing at Palisades Park. Also, my wife and saw Neil Sedaka sing Where the Boys Are in Las Vegas on our Wedding Day. As writer of the song music for the movie … he had some great story about his best friend … Connie Francis. Thx for posting this video.
Beautiful! Never seen this promo. Wedding Cake is one my favorite albums. This shows Connie's versatility with her voice / style to be able to sing anything.
Agreed, the more people hold onto things the worse they get in quality and lost forever. I'm glad seeing the Ed Sullivan performances though the uploaders still screwed up Gold Finger by not playing it from the start like I see it in full on tv reruns on Decades tv channel. On here it starts out cut off with a sharp sound of the music which sounds awful. The full original sounds so great at the start instead of jolting by the cut off start. I always share things I have and hope others will continue as well so we all simply enjoy her while we still can. Life is short.
Connie looks so beautiful here . She should have sung this song on Hee Haw , then later on the show , Connie could tell a funny joke and the fence board whacks her bottom . Hehe .
⭐ Hi i subscribed for more Connie Francis ❤️ In February i just bought a 30 minute promotional 2" film Quad WKBS TV Philadelphia for The Wedding Cake 1969. In the original box. Kaiser Broadcasting, Maker Machine #5, 6.5" reel, i can't watch it and hope to one day go somewhere to get help putting it on DVD. If your promo is a taste of mine than i will be happy but i am hoping since it is a half hour it has more on it. :)
@@rogerturner1881 Yes I'm excited to see! I hope it works and I can find the right person to take it to. :) I commented on your message too. It's January 31st 1969 in Philadelphia on mine
Hi Roger, if it's from the promotional Quad I have than it's January 31st 1969 Kaiser Broadcasting WKBS Tv Philadelphia :) I messaged you asking about the other song version of Don't tell me not to cry that is a slow 80s sounding Ballad and not so country sounding. Do you have it? If I get my Quad taken to get the 30 minutes put on a DVD I will share it with my friends.
I watched Connie extremely carefully. She's either perfect at lip syncing and knows how to do everything correctly or is singing live. I am going to say she's singing live here. It's way too perfect with all things I am staring at. But the best way to tell for sure is comparing the full released song to thing very carefully to see if it is the same exact recording or not. 😊
I was surprised when I heard it. I was not a big fan of it. The album is very different from what she did in the past also. But there are some good songs on it.

I have the album when it came out. This is the first film clip I have seen of her singing this. Just wonderful,
She also performed it on the Mike Douglas show

I love this so much! Please upload more from Connie.
Thank you so much for posting this performance. Beautiful in every way ❤, from her incredibly mature voice to her gorgeous looks.
I wonder how many such videos are still rotting away in some archives. There is so little of her on UA-cam.
let alone everywhere else
So much of her on youtube.

Connie could sing this song on Hee Haw , then tell a joke as it would be fun to see her expression when the fence board swats her bottom .
can you give an actual date of this and where its from. Great vid and very rare. i think she must be lip-syncing this?

Usually these things are overdubbed. @@berealsupportive2744
It’s lip syncing
@@joeyjosephsso what? It's Connie the singer anyway...!!
