Yeah she's the Queen and first female rocker, paved the road for the ones during her and after, sang in 15 different languages and their is bunches of other legendary facts to go over about her lol. The hall of fame picks who they want in it, it's all kinds of artists, genres and manipulated quite often by current attention on some famous people who are doing something big at the moment and then they hurry and include them. Some of them should have already been in it decades ago.
She was a wonderful singer and did her own harmonies on her records , my sister and I used to sing this as our party piece when we were young Ahh lovely memories x
I am Awe Struck Coming upon this Precious Awesome Video on Utube of the One & Only ***Connie Francis*** takes me back 2 1954 wen I was 7 yrs of age my Mum & my Aunty Adored & Loved Istening to **Connie** Singing on our Columbus Radio 12 volt battery operated, her Singing was my mums Favorite God Rest her Soul
Love when Connie does her songs live. She puts so much into them. I'm so glad I found this. The one I want most is when she was on the Bell Telephone Hour. This sound of Mammy is very similar to At The Copa album but again seeing her do it is great. I hope some more of these treasures of Connie can be found and posted.
The one I remember is the Exodus/Hava Negilia. I THINK the other one wasZing WentThe Strings Of My Heart. It was a long time ago. mid sixties@@berealsupportive2744
It always kind of surprises me to encounter how many American singers were significantly popular in other countries, even singing in other languages, as Connie also did. Of course in Britain that wasn't necessary, but obviously she was well known there in 1958.
This was a great performance showing what a seasoned professional Connie was at so young an age, about 20, I think. Her voce is great in almost ever genre. Although i grew up in the UK and i was about 13 then, I dont' think I saw this show then. I really got into Connie and her music after hearing and buying "Everbody's Somebody's Fool". Lonnie Donegan was very good too and they sang very well together. Connie did a fantastic cover of Al Johlson's "Mammy".
I can confirm that this is from Saturday 13th September 1958 on ATV [UK] 20.00-21.00 full show. She was also in an earlier show VAL PARNELL'S SATURDAY SPECTACULAR on Saturday 16th August 1958 with guest CONNIE FRANCIS, EARLE AND VAUGHN... don't know what Connie sang, but i presume it could be Who's Sorry Now? +other songs. i wonder if you can get this one two.
What a great video. Thank you for sharing it. Connie could sing every genre' of music magnificently. I don’t know if there was/is any vocalist, male or female, who could cover the song book that Connie does. And do it as well. Stay well Concetta. Direct from "Down Neck"
Last night I watched a UA-cam documentary on Brenda Lee and today this video pops up on UA-cam. Spooky algorithms that seem to know the cultural relationship between these two dynamic female singers, 50s/60s.
Lovely to see this archive performance performance by Connie Francis was this show just a one off special or were more made? Lonnie Donegan had such a lovely time with all his guests on his various TV specials any footage of the wonderful Alma Cogan from these shows? I met Lonnie once quite a few year's ago now really nice charming man sat on the edge of the stage chatting about his career and i mentioned Alma to him he loved her dearly and they worked quite a few times together would be great to see more footage of Alma still greatly missed all these year's later! Thank-you for this lovely footage!
I have the air date listed as 16th August 1958. Great performance by Connie. Never understood why Carolina Moon was lip-synced and all other songs were sung live?
Great . Thank you for this video . More Connie , please ! She was on the Joey Bishop Show at least five times in the 1960s . Even if it is a non - singing Connie in comedy slapstick skits can you post her ? Connie is also a fine comedy actress .
FOR OVER 50 YEARS, CONNIE FRANCIS APPEARED ON TV, RADIO AND COUNTLESS CONCERTS AROUND THE WORLD! THERE'S NO ONE LIKE HER. FOREVER NUMBER ONE 🤩
A complete singer she can sing any song beautifully.
I can't believe how Connie is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Beauty

I appreciate you love Connie Francis. However, in 1954 Connie was nowhere on any radio. She had her first hits in 58.
Such a talented lady it's a shame she's been through a lot of tragic situations bad marriages rape I hope she has found peace in her senior years
Thank you for this lovely lady with a most beautiful voice.
She's see still n ot in rock n roll hall of fame. 😢 Much more deserving than many of those inducted. She has a beautiful voice. ❤
ESTÚPENDA GRAN TALENTO MI IDOLA DE SIEMPRE CONNÍE FRANCIS

Thank you so much for this. I watched it live when it first aired on British TV in 1958. It was late August or early September.

Thank you so much for sharing this and with the original soundtrack. WONDERFUL ❤ Connie was so gracious.
I agree she should b in the hall of fame
This must have been one of the first opportunities for British audiences to see Connie-I bet they were not disappointed..

Obrigado sou do Brasil de Fortaleza ce nunca ouvi falar de Conny
I am proud to be a distant cousin of Connie! 😊❤️
This is WONDERFUL!
I've loved and admired her since I was a young man she never did get recognized for her voice as a singer and a talented actress of her era

The great singer Connie F.
Sweet memories! Thank you for sharing!❤
What a terrific performance from Connie, she is just brilliant. Lonnie was a great entertainer. Thanks very much for video. 😃

*JOVEM AINDA NOS ANOS 60...COM CARA JÁ DE VELHA?????🤣😂🤣😂*
Wow! Magnificence right there
Beautiful voice❤
EXCELLENT
Connie Francis had a lovely voice and an endearing personality. She had a wide repertoire of songs and hits and deservedly became a great singer.
Eine fantastische Sängerin.👏👏👏👏
Passava as férias de verão na casa de meus primos e naquelas tardes quentes escutava o LP de Connie. Tempos muito bons!
I like this version better than the one she released. She is so versatile that she seldom sings a song the same way twice!
Connie 😂notissima anche in Italia, sempre nelle chart fino al 65
Muito lindas músicas, boas lembranças dos bons tempos!
All singers are welcome professionals before until now but anyone else's in heaven in peace.

Lonnie and Connie!
I love the dancers behind her. ❤️
i wonder who they are? and the CAROLINA MOON WAS PLAYBACK
Thank you so much! 😍💘

this is great!!
She was a wonderful singer.Such a clear and melodious voice. Her father was so strict,I suprised he allowed to go into showbusiness.
What do mean? It was her Dad who managed her career. He made a fortune off her.
A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE BY OUR QUEEN. And rarity too. i'll try and find out actual date and extras. She was 20 here.
Last night I watched a UA-cam documentary on Brenda Lee and today this video pops up on UA-cam. Spooky algorithms that seem to know the cultural relationship between these two dynamic female singers, 50s/60s.
Cute little song remember my sister playing on the old Plymouth car radio if my dad only knew he would have killed us😂😂😂

Liked the old Al Jolson song ❤
❤
Me gustaba una canción que ella cantaba , yo te seguiré. La tierra ya no tendrá más frontera , yo te seguiré.
I have the air date listed as 16th August 1958. Great performance by Connie. Never understood why Carolina Moon was lip-synced and all other songs were sung live?
Maybe because song required Connie self harmonising.
Great . Thank you for this video . More Connie , please ! She was on the Joey Bishop Show at least five times in the 1960s . Even if it is a non - singing Connie in comedy slapstick skits can you post her ? Connie is also a fine comedy actress .
Is Lonnie Donegan introducing Miss Connie?
Yes, that is Lonnie.
Beautiful ❤...was she in high school at that time ?
She was 20 years old when this was done.
She looked quite different at that time.
Connie wanted to sing with Pinky & Perky!
Connie singing with Pinky & Perky - now that would be fun 😄
Iconic Connie
