I notice this video turned out very blurry for some reason. I will try and correct that before the next upload. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am using OBS to make these screen recordings.
Have an odd application. FC5A with HG3G-AJT22MF-W HMI. Need to disable a machine function using button on main screen and when this disable is on, blank or cover over sections referring to the setup of the disabled function on 3 other screens.
So, the machine has two VFD spindles and each spindle can be programmed to run for different periods of time, speed, acceleration etc. the “program looks like a spreadsheet with all the different settings in a row for a period of time then it goes down to the next row of settings etc. there are pages of these settings. They now want the option to run just one spindle and want all the pages of settings to have the RPM column of set boxes to be covered over or something to indicate that the spindle is disabled. The RPM “set boxes have drop-down boxes that a value can be entered. I’m just not sure the best way to show they’re disabled.
@@jlsmed i think what your looking for is a trigger. I am pretty sure you can make a data input box be triggered to be visible. You would have to use the input that brings that spindle on, as your trigger. I will pull up a program this weekend, and see if I can get something similar to what you want.
Awesome! Thanks for watching. I am not an engineer! LOL. Just an electrician. I think you will like IDEC and the simplicity of the software as compared to Siemens and AB. I have dabbled around with both, and they seem complex in comparison. And very pricey, I will add.
Awesome! There's that great customer support I talk about. Starting a project reverse engineering an old duct folding machine from Mitsi to Idec for a new customer. I think I will make a video series on it.

Tell me more details. I will try and help you out. Sounds like you are needing to use triggers to see a button, or not to see a button?

Can you please make a video on PLC as Modbus Master sending Data to a Modbus Slave
I will get this on the list. It might be a little while, time is tight here lately at work. But, hang in there. I will get to it.
Still not forgotten, just been busy. Hang in there. I will get to it.
