i'd like to do another trip this upcoming summer with her but i'd also like her to get a summer job which she didn't have this past summer which made her presence on the trip possible.
We did it for the first time last summer in our stock 1200 6v with our 2 kids. 2500km. With some serious mountain passes. No issues. Had a blast! We are going to do it again next summer and will film it then. I love your videos btw. I'm really surprised how some 'big names' in the VW community got it so wrong😲
did you and crew drive the alps? i watch travel vids and enjoy some of the high pass vids featuring italy and switzerland. the dolomite area is really impressive. about the vw big names, you just have to check their educational background. if it's just high school then that explains everything. (high school for berg & raby. hoover was a HS dropout) here in the US, mechanic training is very basic and is absolutely not even remotely entry level engineering. i just looked up your channel, looks like you're from netherlands. love watching femke bol run. get some stuff posted to your channel and i'll start watching.
@@redshirt-scotty It is true, the good temperature helps you enjoy the car. Sometimes we miss a little snow in the city, it only snows every two or three years on the highest peaks in the center of the island. The next one we want will be a beetle 1303 cabrio or a vw buggy...we are saving the money! Greetings
that's perfect shots~later-Scotty,🤩
Great trip! And quality time with you're daughter😃

lucky you! what a great vehicle to have in a place with nice year round temps and not much rain.

What's your average speed? I noticed my 72 bug don't really like anything past 65 MPH
pretty casual speeds, almost no interstate. probably averaged around 55 for most of it. it will run 65+ all day all summer just not on this trip.
