You want them to sugarcoat things, do not you? Poor Jihadi, can't you even accept the reality? They women right activists clearly looked angry. "Oh, Talibans are the best friends of women, they are letting girls become doctors, engineers, nurses, attorneys, and letting them be successful. Thank you, Taliban. You are the BEST!!!" This thing?
I am Pashtun from Pakistan and I understood the language Zabiullah Mujahid spoke in the documentary. I have noticed that the reporter did not mention exactly what he said, especially in favor of women. For example, at 6:13, he stated, 'First, we need to create a safer environment for women.' He emphasized that there is no hostility against women but rather a focus on the dignity and respect that Islam teaches us towards women. The reporter completely omitted the part regarding women's rights. It appears that Al Jazeera either missed it or deliberately chose not to mention it.
You dont protect women by locking them behind doors and if they go out have to wear cloths from head to toe to cover themselves up,,you wouldnt know your own mother or sister if they were on the street,,If women are educated that gives freedom but women arent allowed to vote a mad country

Hey Al Jazeera, I've observed an omission in the translation of a key part of the Taliban spokesman's speech in one of your recent videos, specifically around the 6:12 mark. At this point, he addresses the respect and protection afforded to women in Islam, but the subtitled translation seems to leave out significant elements of his statement. As a native Farsi speaker, I can discern that the nuances in this section are not fully represented, which could lead to misunderstandings about the content of the speech. For the sake of accurate and comprehensive reporting, I would kindly suggest a review of this particular segment to ensure that the translation aligns faithfully with the spokesman's words. It would greatly benefit the clarity and reliability of the information presented.
I do not understand the Afghani language completely but I understand a bit as there are nuances of Urdu. At 6:10, he said "We do not have any hostility against women, rather we are there to protect them and their modesty (loosely translated)", I wonder why the subtitles did not show the whole sentence translated.
Sadly even AJ is being influenced to not to portray things objectively. The dreary bgms are uncalled for as well when they are making progress in bridging people's concern.

That woman fought so hard and passionately for her daughters to have a right to education, knowing it would probably just be brushed off. It must be so frustrating.
I agree. So sad that things turn out this way. If only Afghanistan was left alone and wasn't lnvaded by the US, they would have been allowed grow and learn naturally, as all societies do. But due to the constant interference from Western societies, they're trying to keep their country as stable as possible, even if that means sacrificing the rights of females in order to avoid political/scholarly divisions... I just hope they can continue to live in peace without outside interference. Only then can they change for the better.

In Islam there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Qur'an says: And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women. (2:226) The Qur'an, in addressing the believers, often uses the expression,'believing men and women' to emphasize the equality of men and women in regard to their respective duties, rights, virtues and merits. It says: For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward. (33:35) This clearly contradicts the assertion of the Christian Fathers that women do not possess souls and that they will exist as sexless beings in the next life. The Qur'an says that women have souls in exactly the same way as men and will enter Paradise if they do good : Enter into Paradise, you and your wives, with delight. (43:70) Who so does that which is right, and believes, whether male or female, him or her will We quicken to happy life. (16:97)
It takes time to normalize things from what we're going through, but some people don't think the right way and always want to prove us terrorists and don't think about what America did to us. Things are going great and afghani currency is the fastest growing currency in the world currently.

unfortunately most of the population in Afghanistan remains very tribal and poorly educated and this reflects in their attitudes towards gender roles in society. The reporter completely omitted the part regarding women's rights. It appears that Al Jazeera either missed it or deliberately chose not to mention it.

In Islam there is absolutely no difference between men and women as far as their relationship to Allah is concerned, as both are promised the same reward for good conduct and the same punishment for evil conduct. The Qur'an says:
And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women. (2:226)
The Qur'an, in addressing the believers, often uses the expression,'believing men and women' to emphasize the equality of men and women in regard to their respective duties, rights, virtues and merits. It says:
For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward. (33:35)
This clearly contradicts the assertion of the Christian Fathers that women do not possess souls and that they will exist as sexless beings in the next life. The Qur'an says that women have souls in exactly the same way as men and will enter Paradise if they do good :
Enter into Paradise, you and your wives, with delight. (43:70)
Who so does that which is right, and believes, whether male or female, him or her will We quicken to happy life. (16:97)
It takes time to normalize things from what we're going through, but some people don't think the right way and always want to prove us terrorists and don't think about what America did to us. Things are going great and afghani currency is the fastest growing currency in the world currently.

As far as I know the Ottomans never tried - they never had a border with Afghanistan itself. There was only a very brief period where some Pashtun dynasty conquered parts of Persia and fought the Ottomans in the south Caucasus.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Achaemenid, Mongol, Safavid, and Macedonian Empires all conquered and ruled Afghanistan. And the Soviet Union had control over urban Afghanistan, whereas the Mujahideen had control over the rural areas.

Read this: Afghanistan is a multilingual country with several languages spoken across its diverse ethnic and linguistic groups.
The official languages of Afghanistan are Pashto and Dari(A Dialect of Persian/Farsi), which are also the most widely spoken languages in the country.
Pashto: Pashto is the first language of the Pashtun ethnic group, which constitutes a significant portion of the Afghan population. It is an Indo-European language and is predominantly spoken in the eastern and southern parts of the country.
Dari (Persian/Farsi): Dari is a dialect of Persian/Farsi and serves as the "lingua franca" for communication among various ethnic groups in Afghanistan.
"Lingua franca" refers to a common language or a bridge language that is used for communication between people who speak different native languages. It is a language adopted as a medium of communication for trade, diplomacy, or other interactions where there is a need for mutual understanding among speakers of different languages.
It is the second most widely spoken language in the country and is primarily spoken in urban areas and by the Tajik ethnic group.
