  • A pyramid in New Zealand? or just a pile of very even blocks of stone.
    If it is a man made structure, we know it is at least 1800 years old. In 186 AD the Taupo eruption covered a vast area in volcanic ash and pumice....including this mound of stone.

    One has to wonder why this site has not been excavated, even party? That would at least likely prove one way or another if the site was man made or natural.

    The Kaimanawa Wall is very similar in structure to a lot of south American structure, like I've seen in Peru for instance, enormous stones fitted together with laser like precision that are hundreds of years old, with the right amount of digging into history, you can find the link between Peru & New Zealand, which makes me think, if amateurs such as us can find this information with some work, what do the specialists in the field know?
    I would love to pick the brains of an expert on the matter, if only for my own education and curiosity.
    I've also heard some stories that could never be confirmed out of the defense forces about unexplained phenomena in the kaimanawa forest.
    Has anyone else heard this???

    without question, pre Maori civilisations were here. Great documentary. NZ GOVT needs to admit existence despite repercussions with current indigenous who claim full ownership and first settlement.

    well I went and had a dig, people are slowly exposing more and more, the tree roots make digging hard. I also found another wall nearby. following my gut I wandered off into the scrub and found another two slabs joined the same way and of the same stone. 5mins with a stick and uncovered an inscription that I'm going to cross reference over some known languages. its very strange like an multi spear headed Celtic eye of Horus. it was under a few inches of dirt and invisible until I started scratching the dirt out of the grooves. each intersecting line is curved and deliberate to for a pattern and the way it was when I uncovered it nobody has ever seen it except for whoever carved it. I'll be going back soon and having a good dig around. this spot I don't think anybody has ever even noticed it before. from what I've learnt I thought to look nth, sth, east and west of the wall as if it was an ancient structure they all seem to be built in that fashion. that investigation the govt did was pointless. the real proof ain't even at the wall!

    the grooves are uniform v about half an inch deep, from left to right a left facing triangle with no bottom extending at point to another half point with a curved hook like " eye " shape to a vertical line with a up pointing one sided arrow. about 6 inches high by a foot long. each line is deep and sharply veed at bottom evenly like was scratched in with a sharp tool. the whole thing is about 80mtrs away from the wall and was untouched till I got there.

      Turehu NZ i have 2 photos but poorly lit as had been there all arvo and lost light as I found it. I'm going back next week for a day and seeing how much more stone is there and any more writings. 30min searching looks closest to viking rune stone symbols. pretty crazy actually going there to find something and it happening. my theory was if was artificial there must be more than just a wall. across the road and up the hill boom found something previously unseen. itching to get back.

      Turehu NZ i tried to imagine a tree root growing into rock, water erosion etc but there's no way. its a definite carved group of intersecting curved and straight lines. my email is Brotang1984@windowslive.com. I'm not very net savvy and couldn't figure out where your email is.

    There are stone formations similar to what's shown in this video throughout Polynesia. Conclusion could the Kaimanawa Wall have been built by the early Polynesian settlers?

    • @turehunz342
      @turehunz342  7 років тому +37

      The Kaimanawa wall could have been built by early polynesian settlors, but the issue in this case is that we know that they arrived around 1350 AD and yet we know as a fact that this particular structure is covered with ash from the 186 AD eruption at Taupo.
      This is roughly 1100 years BEFORE the arrival of polynesians, therefore they could not possibly have been the builders.

    • @ngamo52Nick
      @ngamo52Nick 7 років тому +10

      according to? the tuatara survived here the whole time. why would the ancient culture that seemed to be a global empire of sorts not have been here as well? I'm going back to uncover more of what could be a south facing wall that I found a strange symbol carved into it a few days ago. there are different versions of history. in nz its not always what you read, but who you listen to.

    I went to visit this and I have to conclude that it is likely an unusual natural formation. Only the 'blocks' in the center look possibly artificial. all the surrounding structure is just jumbled rock. There is no symmetry or uniformity tot his formation. I really wanted it to be a wall but I left gutted because I realized it was likely just an unusual rock formation.

    ..."the rock surface is so smooth, like poured concrete." No sir, that is poured stone - evidence of which is seen in many early to mid pre-ancient cultures - antideluvian.

    Ah, but you see if it is authenticated, Maori claims under the UN Charter as the indigenous people of NZ will be discredited. There's far too much taxpayer money involved for anything to be allowed to interrupt the Gravy Train....

    • @wirecook7042
      @wirecook7042 7 років тому +79

      KathrynLiz1 wake up you fool. If this is evidence of pre māori civilisation your settler government would have publicised it, they will do anything to try diminish our sovereignty by making up stories to make it fit their agendas. But one would sense they are covering up these discoveries from the public because māori are a amalgamation of the earlier ancient peoples of aotearoa.

      If you understand how documents like Te Tiriti (1840) and the Whakaputanga (1835) work, you will know that changes in 'indigenous status' wouldn't change a thing. My question is why would the government (dominated by white males) try to coverup evidence? Maybe if the NZ government was dominated by Maori I would understand the motive.

      Lets get one thing straight.NO ONE discovered nz before Polynesian settle here.Whats happening here is that colonialsm is very much still in play here in NZ.being a people carrying the history of there ancestors before them during the early colonial Times aswell as being the reminance of the worst man of man to man conflict whilst still trying to push for political rule and power the colonists themselves had to think up a ploy to now infact induce a sense in the now interbred and vastly growing population that this land was infact discovered by white man not maori,therefore leaving us with more of a valid reason to further colonise NZ till the maori r no more.just like the Native Red Indians of The Americas

    99% sure that the Kaimanawa Wall is man made. Really? You don't provide enough solid evidence to prove that it is man made. Until you do that then what you say here is just speculation. For example you say that an Auckland laboratory tested a sample of the rock found to be rhyolite, but you DON"T name the laboratory or reveal the name of the person who carried out the test. This is important because such evidence would need to be verified and peer reviewed. You have various people shown here poking and prodding at the Wall and speculating as to its origins. What I would like confirmed is the Kaimanawa Wall man made or a natural formation? This documentary hasn't answered this question. If it's man made who built it? As I said earlier there are stone formations/structures throughout Polynesia. The most similar looking stone structures to the Kaimanawa Wall are to be found on the Marquesas they were called 'paepae' which were house foundations. Also found on the Marquesas are pyramids and petroglyphs. We know through aDNA analysis of skeletal remains found at the Wairau Bar carried out by Drs. Lisa Matisoo-Smith and Michael Knapp of Otago University that these people arrived in NZ around 1280AD from the Marquesas, Eastern Polynesia. These are the ancestors of present day Maori.

      How and in what way does it undermine the Maori? If there are stone structures that pre-date their arrival, that is just how it is and doesn't alter their story or history in the least. People who try to politicize our search for origin and history really are the scum of this earth.

    • @bigfootdoesntbelieveinyoue6856
      @bigfootdoesntbelieveinyoue6856 6 років тому +52

      eeeaten undermined Maori? If there is a man made structure that predates Maori then it has nothing to do with Maori, nor is it any of their business. Typical Maori only care about how it affects you or what's in it for you.
