The way she plays with the tempo and dynamics is so captivating. She can only really do that when she's performing solo, and that adds a little extra spice to these performances where it's just her and a piano.
Yes, this show always lets artists that visits them perform 1 of their own songs, and then pick a song from a list they give them, and make a cover in a short amount of time. Someone wrote it was initially called the Milli Vanilli test, I'm not sure if they were joking 😀 Other Norwegian artists have also covered Aurora songs this way. Unfortunately we are never informed which and how many songs are on the list they choose from, it often seems to be recent / popular songs, but not always, she also covered Boney M - Rasputin this way, and there she replied in the comments afterwards, that they only rehearsed for ~15 min. This was April 2017 only 3 months after Imagine Dragons released the song, here is what Aurora said after the song: "- In the choice of songs you could cover, you chose Imagine Dragons, what was the reason for that? Aurora: Ok, I know I do not know new music very well, as everyone probably knows. I looked at your list, and then I saw the name Imagine Dragons, I've never heard of them before, but I thought it was such a cool name. I think dragons are damn cool, yay! So it was really due to the name, and Believer was a nice title, so I thought it is probably lyrics I dare to sing."
It was definitively called the Milli Vanilli test for many years when I last was listening to the radio somewhat regularily... 25+ years ago. I don't know when they stopped calling it that.
From what I understand, Aurora only has a short time, I think less than an hour to do it. Apparently, that is what happened with this series. Artists turned up, performed some of their own music, and were given a couple of cover versions to chose from. I've read, I don't know if its right, that she chose this one, just because she likes dragons. This is an incredible cover, and she's made it her own, quite different to the original.
.. she often put in " en trall" in her performance.. its often heard in norwegian ( and possibly many other folkmusic in Europa) folkmusic. So if you want to learn norwegian you can ask someone " ta en trall " 😊 Best from Bergen Norway
hello again! so grateful for your reactions of this magical artist. She really deserves that. This is my runner up favorite of her covers. She has really developed massively in recent years and in almost all cases for the better. But there is something about the early Aurora that makes them strike differently. The is the utter rawness, sensitivity and haunting in tone. Could it have been lost. maybe, maybe not. I miss it a bit but luckily these recordings exist so I can switch whenever I want.
No need to apologise. Thank you for reacting to the wonderful AURORA. This was arranged quickly as you guessed. Aurora was excited to do it because she thought it was something to do with dragons - lol.
she is A1's creation of the perfect human. Beautiful, voice of an Angel, and so damn funny as well , Amazing girl. The docs are amazing especially the full version HAIK doc. Enjoy
This is a very hauntingly beautiful cover version of their song, they commented how beautiful it was on social media way back when she did it. I am a fan of Imagine Dragons, but this is Aurora's song now. Thanks.
Brilliant reaction, my friend 🙂 Aurora is extraordinary on SO many levels. I know you'll LOVE the docu called HAIK. Looking forward to that, eventually 😉 Love from Norway♥♥♥♥♥
I agree with everything you said and, yes, she only had a short time to come up with this brilliant version. I would suggest you consider reacting to her singing SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW, the one that is 2.52 minutes long on TS MUSIC. She even makes this somewhat different yet beautiful.
I think you mean channel F.S Music ? But the video quality is pretty bad on that video. I suggest Aurora Fan Channel (not my channel), it has the full livestream, search for Aurora Fan Channel Queer Sounds, and somewhere over the rainbow is the first song in the livestream after 1m38s of Aurora talking and introducing it.
Thanks for the reaction! My suggestion is: follow the suggestions of W&Ws below! That is usually the best way to go. Some reactor asked for recommendations of Aurora interviews, not sure if it was you but I have some in mind. Seeya
Please check out the Aurora recommendation playlist on my "channel". I've just updated it and it's pretty complete now, at least of the top and/or most significant tracks by her.

Captivating is absolutely the right adjective.
Aurora magic. Thank you.
You're welcome.
It's that voice that makes it "an Aurora song", otherwise they are all so different.

this one of my favourit aurora songs, brilliant cover.
Her use of dynamics is on another level.
Agreed

I reckon she's still got it.
Well... that's life. Most things change.
Beautiful, Thanks for doing, more Aurora. Been a week, I'd be going through withdrawals. I don't think she gets enough credit for her piano playing.
No, she's great, because she feels this music.

@davidplanet3919 She loves dragons.

I agree.
i recommend each and every song, interview and documentary with her involved. thanks for your reaction.
Then I shall keep going 😀
Thanks for this… another reactor called her “The Queen of Glissando,” but she is also the Empress of Dynamics and Titan of Tempi!
And maybe a princess of the piano.

100%
You're on a roll! Now you should check out God is a woman.
Thanks, I'll add that to my list.

Thanks very much. I'll get there.

Thanks, yeah I'm following the W&W's recommendations.
Have you seen Helvegen by Wardruna and Aurora?
I have indeed. Awesome!!!
"She can do no wrong". I disagree in principle, but I have no practical counter-argument.
😂
🤣
LOL!
My thoughts as well 😂

@@jobryan191 Thanks, will do.
a wonderful concert you'd probably love to react to is Live with the Bergen philharmonic in 2020 ua-cam.com/video/IE0KUl2tt48/v-deo.html
@@hadesmcfadden2982 Great, thanks.
