I like that Mapex uses different heads from all the major makers. That's one way to ensure they all sound different. :D

Mapex drums sound and look great. Stay away from their hardware though, I bought a Mapex falcon pedal and it crapped out after 8 months. Their customer support is awful, a refund is not an option and replacement is gonna take 4 months.
This man's Mapex pedal has lasted him many years. Sorry about your Falcon.
