already copped mine duder! Huge W for UA-camrs, more so than streameres imo. I think its a lil weird to have twitch chat in there and for me to be like STARING INTO THEIR EYES while reading chat. So I will likely be avoiding this feature and using it for scripting only haha. Great video!
Nice vid! 👍 FYI 6:00 - basically all prompters can be used as an additional monitor. It's just that a lot of video monitors, that have built-in screen flipping, can cost as much as the Elgato Prompter. For example I currently use a Lilliput A11 video monitor on my current prompter. Also traditionally needed two wires for HDMI + Power where Elgato has made it simpler with just 1 USB-C wire.
That is good to know! A lot of the prompters I was looking at before requires a phone or a tablet to work! I know those are the cheaper options but even a lot of those ones can get around $200 alone with no screen. Also great call out on the single wire!
It really is as easy as I was showing! Super simple and didn't take me long to figure it out as when I got it there were no how to videos or tutorials on how to use it. I had to figure it out myself haha. This will work with the ZVE10! You can either use the shroud back plate or you can use the step up ring and mount it to the end. That camera is so small I would prob use the shroud to be honest.
Great video, was just wondering you used your stream deck to control it, but didn’t mention which section the control comes under in stream deck itself ??
You should be able to just select display in the software or it should just be recognized as another monitor. Not sure if that is what you meant. I can possibly make a short form video to explain it if that doesn't help.
I bought one, I'm wondering if I made a mistake. If you plan on putting the prompter behind your monitor for reading scripts (like many youtubers would do), there is a an issue you need to know about. If you are not at least six feet away from the prompter, it's likely it will be obvious to your viewers you are reading from a teleprompter. When you are that close to the prompter, in the video your eyes will be seen tracking left to right as you read. I never hear about this issue from elgato or affiliates. It's a good prompter, but please be aware of this issue.
This also has to do with the focal length you are shooting with on your camera. The wider the focal length the closer you can be to the camera. I used 20mm and cropped my video in slightly and I dont think it is too obvious. You can also adjust the width of the text and size to make it so your eyes arent moving too far from side to side.
I don't stream, i don't do videos, i don't create any other content... But having an external monitor is great! Think about using it for a Teams- or Zoom-Call and look straight into the other's souls during the conference.. :) Is it worth 300€? I don't know, but maybe.. Think about buying one for me.
I love that this one has a monitor built into it so you dont need anything else really for it to work and it works with any device which is nice as well!
Honestly, not sure if you could fit the whole thing in there but, with the ability to position the camera on that in different ways you could maybe use it in like a flashlight mode and mount it or so on something to use it.
I gone through multiple reviews and find the set up to be very difficult. Your tutorial is professional but imho this product is not worth the money or aggravation. It’s probably worthy if you’re a top tier content creator or a professional but it’s not user friendly at all….i would be hard pressed to think this is good for the general consumer looking to up their game in content creation. Regardless I’m sure it serves its purpose for others.
Honestly I think the software has gotten better for it at first it had a couple hiccups. I do think this is a great tool for someone who is a little further in their journey or might be interested in a second monitor for chat while streaming. Sorry you didn't have a great experience with it!
Are you getting a Prompter? 👀

I want one!!
Only 3k subscribers? I thought this was a Think Media video when it first loaded up.
Insane production quality sir. Subbed.
Thank you so much for the love!!! I am committing to being more consistent so, to the moon with this channel thanks to people like you 🫡
Man, I'm really thinking about getting one of these. The ability to look at the camera while reading chat is a game changer.
Honestly brings a whole new level of connection to the experience for sure!
I love how versatile this is! So many different uses. Don't know what I'd use it for, but now I want one.
Honestly so many use cases for sure!!!!
I have one on order and this video was very helpful. Thanks!
Aye I appreciate that and I hope you get yours very soon!
I just received mine today and your video definitely helped with the setup! Thanks!
Of course! Glad it helped and happy creating!

Is this as easy as it looked? When are these available to purchase? Also, what Elgato face am is that? I currently use a Sony ZV E10.

It looks like a Parrot Pro on steroids with the display and software. This looks like a winner 🥇
Honestly love it so far and it is a massive time saver!
@@IAmBPala that’s awesome. I always like Elgato products.
Great video, was just wondering you used your stream deck to control it, but didn’t mention which section the control comes under in stream deck itself ??
Do you mean what section as in the plugin? It should be under camera hub I believe.
lol…. Thanks but in the 3wks to reply I found the answer
@@BlackravenarmouryUk glad you got your answer! Happy for ya!
Great review man! This thing looks like it’ll be a great tool.
Thanks Sooner! I love it so far def going to help with the work flow for sure!
Great video can you go into more detail about how to video monitor i want it as an additional monitor but can’t figure out how to do it? Thanks

Thanks for the video, do you know if it's possible to collapse or disassemble it for travel?
It doesn’t collapse at all unfortunately. You can take the back plate off but the monitor is attached to it.
Thank you so much. Do you know if the prompter app support RTL texts ?
Uh idk what RTL is to be honest haha

Nah that seeing other creator's chat is clutch!
Honestly it is so simple and dope you can do that! They allow you to switch them on the fly too no logging in or nothing!
Great review. Did you reach out to Elgato to get it for free for a product review?
Negative, I am contracted to work with them as of right now so I usually get the products for their videos then make my own.
Just got one, your video helped with the unboxing! But I'm curious, how are you getting free stuff with only 2.4k subscribers?
I make videos for Elgato under contract, and because the connections I have made and quality of my videos as well.
First off Sony fam = W!
2nd you’ve taken me from want to need… I couldn’t be angrier!
I am sorry! haha And heck yea!!! Been Sony Gang since the Sony a6100 🫡

Do you have to have a screen deck or can i just buy the prompter?
I just use the Prompter by Elgato and it works for everything I need to be honest.
Hello, Congratulations 👍👏👏👏 I am impressed. Awesome. Cool.
Thank you very much!
Just got mine
Aye congrats!!! It is a game changer.
Do you think I could fit something like a DJI Pocket 2 in there? It's roughly 5.5 inches tall (and the lens is at the top).
Honestly, not sure if you could fit the whole thing in there but, with the ability to position the camera on that in different ways you could maybe use it in like a flashlight mode and mount it or so on something to use it.
@@IAmBPala Ah! That's smart! I didn't think about doing it in flashlight mode.
I need this lol
Honestly makes recording long form videos so much easier!
@@IAmBPala i bet I would totally get it
It is sold out!
Should be in stock I believe in a few weeks!

The worst teleprompter ever. I had this for 1 day and dann I returned it. The software had many many Problems
Sorry you had that experience with it, personally I think it’s great still use it to this day. Hope you find what works for you!
It looks super cheap and flimsy for the price..
It is actually built extremely well. Feels really solid, the plates fit very snug and nothing rattles or feels loose. It is a very well built device.
It looks lightweight to not break your camera where you could attach the display directly.
